    Refrigerator Repair

My husband called Appliance Repair Team without checking 'on-line reviews' - "Sammy" the technician came to our house and indicated that he needed to do some diagnostics - the charge was originally $80 but he required $300 for diagnostics indicating that he could fix the fridge if he evaluated the cooling system, the main board - the fridge is not fixed - he claimed to put a part in that he did not put in - and he smashed glass all over our kitchen impacting a newly painted wall, leaving broken glass and damaging the floor DO NOT... Do NOT phone this company - they are 'known' to operate this way - I phoned their office and the customer service person who claimed to be "management" indicated - there is no way to fix your fridge of course it needed a compressor which is more expensive than buying a new fridge - I said this is unacceptable - there are endless reviews saying everyone has had the same experience - her response was 'and yet we are still in business' - this is the worst company - do not call them.

    Fridge Repair

Fridge repair needed. Called and service man arrived. Said needed new control board changed it out and then advised me it would be $706.00. Fridge is worse then before they arrived. Fridge heating up rapidly. Called customer service and waiting a response. I have kept the old board that was working some what. Have had a second service rep come and repair fridge this evening. Appliance Repair team installed the wrong control board. Have sent request for them to come and pick up and expect a full refund. Will be blocking the purchase on my C.C.

    Diswasher Repair

Numerous complaints received by the Better Business Bureau indicate that consumers are regularly advised of a lower repair cost upfront, but after the technician takes a closer look, more repairs and parts are needed, which increases the cost to hundreds of dollars....in our case they said the service visit would be $80.00 either way and then the quoted $280.00 and after a few more minutes the technician told us the total would be $562.49...that's half the cost of a new one to replace a simple hose.

    Stove Repair

This company piggybacked online from another local company when I clicked on appliance repair. No idea how they did that but this company has SC.M down to a fine art. Stay away .. Do Not Call!

No service delivered but still took my money

Please please go somewhere else - I hired them on canada day and service tech came and told me he can have the parts ready in next 2 days and pressures me to pay in full I then chased them for two weeks and with 20 phone calls - only time he was close to coming was when he drop called me at 2:57 and service call was 12-3 they failed to reschedule and when I asked for a refund they never called me back instead sent me a cheque with 180$ removed stating it was service fee! They didn’t provide a service! They said they left me a voicemail (they didn’t) which was my consent to the refund of 180$ less? I called and called but got no where with very rude staff - so unless you want to be over charged and have no service done go elsewhere (got it fixed within 3 days by another company for over 200$ less then price quoted

Beware: This company is known by other names

I was dismayed to discover that this company is the same as another disreputable company which I cannot name here due to Homestars review guidelines. It seems that the owner has decided to create a whole new website to detract from the 569 negative reviews on this website. The company also has 142 negative reviews on TrustPilot and an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau. We are a group of disgruntled customers who are trying to get compensated financially. Dishwasher Repair

    - I agreed to the $80 charge for an estimate for repairs needed. I was told that it would cost $280 for the repair AFTER he looked and tested the dishwasher. I signed a contract to proceed. 10 minutes later Scott - the repairman requested another 463.90 to complete the repair. Requested that he leave but was charged the $280 + HST - not the $80 to determine all repair costs. - Run away. I got taken 100%

Worst Company I have ever dealt with in my life

Never ever ever consider this company for any of your needs. I have dealt with dozens of maintenance, repair and other service companies in my life and this is hands down the worst company I ever came across. Our refrigerator suddenly stopped working (not cooling) and we made the mistake of calling ApplianceRepairTeam without reading any reviews about them. A technician, Mr.T shows up on the same day. Like others said he quoted $280 + tax for labour plus costs of any parts that need to be replaced. We were in a hurry and didn't think the parts would be significantly costly, so we agreed to proceed. He works at it for about 90 mins and says we have to replace thermostat and fan which would cost about $430 + tax. We were hesitant at first but after he said that the parts would have one year warranty, we agree to proceed. He installed the new parts and gives us the bill which has no mention of warranty. After we ask for it, he scribbled down a warranty of 30 days on the receipt. We insist on getting the 1 year warranty as we only agreed to proceed based on that. But now he changes his story and says he can't state that on the receipt and asks us to call the customer service. We call customer service and try to reason with them about either giving warranty as promised or waive off part of the fee. But the customer service rep keeps arguing and keeps saying why we care about one year warranty if the fridge is working now. Seriously ?? She says she can only give 40 day warranty and speaks with the technician. We talk with her a bit more and reluctantly agree to pay the full fee $280 + $430 + tax for 40 day warranty, but in the meantime Mr. T starts getting mad for no reason and starts taking out the parts he has already installed. Customer service rep says that the technician was uncomfortable and she can't do anything. We were never rude with the technician either when we spoke with him or with the customer service. He gives no explaination and mumbles something about how he's doing it for 5 years, and that his decision is final, he spoke with his manager etc etc. He and the customer service rep refuse to let us speak with his manager but insist on us paying $280 + tax. At the end we ended up paying $280 + tax for pretty much nothing, after the customer service rep promises us to get back to us based on his report. After not hearing anything from them on that day and the next business day, we give them a call only to be told that they would call us back, which they never did. I regret not recording what went on as I have no proof of what happened (except for the bill receipt Mr.T gave me). We also found out from the fridge manufacturer later on that the parts for which he was going to charge $430 would only cost around $200 at most.

    Leaky Washer

I wish we had read these reviews before dealing with this company. We had a very similar, negative experience. They say they charge $80.00 for the quote which would be applied to the repair costs if we employed their services. The technician wouldn't even touch the unit until we agreed to $320.00 + tax for servicing. He apparently "serviced" the machine, and then told us it required a new drum that would cost $1400.00. Contacted company for an explanation, days later still no response.

Enjoy my $295 for your 28 minutes "job".

DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE: FIND ANOTHER COMPANY FOR YOUR REPAIR. Tech dude came, fast-talking guy. Diagnostic: motor-pump needed replacement (quoted $476.87 just for the part!!! seen it the previous day in the official website brand for $164) OR a silicon repair that "works 99% of the times", for $295. He did it. Total time spent since knocking on my door: 28 minutes. "Don't use it for the next 24 hours". Waited 48 hours. Run a test. FAILED. The leak is same as before this "repair". Called the company to claim. Rude senorita on the phone argued that I've signed the papers, so "unfortunately..." blablablah. Hope you bankrupt as quickly as you are to take the money. Short story. RUN FROM THIS PEOPLE.
