I contacted M.Scott Home Improvements to remove a concrete laneway and to also remove an old walkway to the house. I received a quote right on the spot Mike answered all my questions and was available by phone to address all my concerns. Mike suggested some design features that would give the sidewalks more appeal. The crew showed up and quickly removed all the old concrete. Once the concrete was poured the design effect came to life and it looks amazing we are so please with the outcome. Mike and his crew are so easy to work with and they accommodated our changes with ease. The crew did a great job in cleaning up and acted professionally. We are so pleased we are hiring them back next year to do a retaining wall. Maxine Toronto

We hired M Scott to remove the broken/cracked asphalt at the side of our house and replace it with a graded sidewalk so water would not pool against the house. The price was competitive and the job was done as specified and on time. The team was professional, courteous and cleaned up after themselves at each stage of the project. We would definitely recommend Mike and his team.

After obtaining several opinions and quotes, we decided to use this company, not because it was the most reasonable but because Michael, the owner, had the confidence to know what the problem was and how to fix it in a timely manner. Unlike one company that wanted to "explore" the problem first for a cost and then tell us what needed to be done after creating an initial mess, and another company that said they would fix a particular aspect of our multi-faceted problem, Mike promised to fix every aspect and he and his crew did just that. They fixed cracks, repaired garage foundation, created a new garage floor, repaired driveway ruts with new asphalt, sealed the whole driveway for a better look and repointed the original brick and mortar to our satisfaction. Mike and his crew were personable, punctual and tidy. We are very pleased and would highly recommend them for similar work. What a lucky find!

This past August I contacted Mike's business about replacing the walkway between my house and a neighbours' place. The original walkway was breaking up and had a historic issue with draining, causing significant water to pool leading to some moisture in the basement and large ice patches in the winter. Pros Mike’s quote was extremely competitive, making the decision to work with him easy given the price and the positive ratings/reviews on HomeStars. Mike personally answered all my calls. He was quick to follow-up, friendly, and polite. Mike's crew started fast, were tidy and the replacement walkway was high-quality and looked great. Mike was very amenable to coming back to work on a drainage issue and fix-up parging. Cons The drainage issue from the replacement work resulted in water flowing into the neighbours yard. Mike's crew built a lip to block it, however this now causes a moderate amount of water to pool up in the walkway which is part of the reason to do the work in the first place. Mike explained there was challenges on working with a limited amount of slope to direct the water. Conclusion I would definitely work with Mike again. Before beginning a future project I would make sure we met to agree on the outcome of the project, any limitations and the room for any corrections if the result was different from what we agreed to.

We had exterior water proofing done a couple of years back and needed to have the concrete redone. Mike's quote was competitive with the others we received but it was a bit lower so we went with him. He started the work right away and it was done within just a few days. The guys that worked for him were friendly, professional and were happy to answer questions about the work when I asked. Mike was also very available. When I had questions or concerns I would text him and he would get back to me promptly and respond positively. He made sure that the work was completed thoroughly and that the site was left looking tidy. Thanks a lot Mike!

I had external waterproofing work completed last year, which required removing my concrete walk way and part of my neighbour's walk way. I received quotes from a number of companies. Mike provided me with professional service at a fair price. Mike, Darryl and the rest of the crew did an amazing job on the parging and walk way! They even fixed the waterproofing board, which had not been fastened properly and trimmed it back so it would not be seen over the concrete. Thank you guys for an excellent job! My walk way looks great!

I needed to replace the walkway that went from the street to the backyard. It was a complicated situation - the waterproofing of an adjacent house had to be trimmed, 4 window wells needed to be replaced and the grading needed to be redesigned. Michael's team were polite, timely and very good at what they do. I was quite particular about some details, and they were very responsive. Michael gave the best quotation, and I'm very happy with the end result. Highly recommended.

Michael Scott and his team did amazing job on our parking pad. They regraded the entire area and created a beautiful clean parking space for two cars. Absolutely perfect finish. I am a repeat customer and have recommended M. Scott to friends and neighbours. On time at a fair price.

Mike Scott and crew completed a concrete walk for our church. Work included replacing an existing walk in addition to installing a new access to a handicapped ramp. Work was completed expeditiously and to our complete satisfaction. He was prompt and responsive in following up on any concerns that arose.

We needed to redo all our concrete walkways around our house and wanted a concrete back patio to replace the one we had currently. We looked into a couple of different companies. Michael's quote was reasonable and his experience in grading the cement away from the foundation was evident. His team was friendly, kept a clean worksite and efficient. We had a few rain delays, but they did an excellent job and we are very satisfied with the results.
