Main stairs, upstairs foyer, nosing and basement stairs
Excellent work done on a very large project. These guys started work ahead of schedule and worked quickly. Workers are very trustworthy and I had no issue leaving them alone in my house. The whole project took about 1.5 weeks. During this process the team took care to seal off areas of my house to mitigate dust and at the end of each day they did a thorough job of vacuuming up their mess. Communication with Mesh and Rajan was great. They always kept us up to date about when we could expect the workers to be here and how far along we were in the project. They addressed all of our concerns from the size of hardwood to perfectly matching the wood colour. My only criticism (and I emphasize that this is NOT ideal stairs fault) was with the supplier of the spindles who kept sending the incorrect ones- this resulted in the job completion being delayed by a few days. Having said that, both Mesh and Rajan were very apologetic and went above and beyond to rectify the situation such as sending their guys on a Saturday to keep working on the job. Pricing for the job was very competitive with other contractors and ultimately we decided to go with Ideal stairs as they offered the best combination of price, job turnaround time and overall comprehensiveness of the job (they did everything from tearing up carpet to the hardwood floors to finishing off all the staining---- we literally didn't have to lift a finger. Would definitely would recommend these guys to friends and family, in fact we already have! Awesome show, good job!

Stair Reno
We hired Ideal Stairs to do a removal of carpeted stairs and hallway. I had very specific products in mind and admit to being particular. Mesh and Rajan were very pleasant to work with. Not pushy and extremely accommodating. The workman were skilled and diligent; cleaning up after each day of work. The wallpaper was not damaged (another company said it would be). The end result is truly beautiful. Exactly as I had envisioned. The flooring is amazing. Having a reno job done can often be incredibly stressful. I am so grateful that this was a great experience. My husband and I would be happy to recommend this company. Thanks guys!

new stairs
Ideal Stairs to the rescue. I made the mistake of hiring a handyman do complete a bunch of renovations in my house and one of them was to redo my stairs. After going back and forth trying to get them done right, I decided it was best to call a professional to fix their screw up. I called Ideal Stairs and thanks to Mesh and Rajan they saved the day. I had to explain the situation to them and also that time was extremely important as my wife and I were expecting within a few days. These guys step it up, they already had jobs lined up but showed up to my house after business hours just to fit us in. Communication was better than I had ever experienced. I would receive a call from Rajan or Mesh letting me know what was happening and when the team would show up at all times. When the job was complete both the guys came out to inspect the final job just to make sure it was up to their standards. As a Realtor in the Durham Region, I don't often recommend a company or someone as it puts my reputation the line. I am very comfortable recommending Ideal Stairs. You will not be disappointed. Thank you so much guys for coming through for me and my family.

staircase & flooring
We had the carpet on our staircase and flooring replaced with hardwood and we are delighted with the end result.Mesh & Rajan explained the process and product qualities to us and made daily visits to check the progress and answer any questions we had.The workmanship was excellent and the workers were mannerly, punctual and cleaned up any mess at the end of the day.We believe we received a quality product & service at a fair price.We would highly recommend Ideal Stairs.

Hardwood Stairs
My experience with Ideal Stairs was seamless; they were attentive to the project and provided excellent support throughout the installation. Rajan and Mesh was very accommodating to our needs and worked with us to make sure that we were happy from beginning to end. They take pride in the work they produce and prices are reasonable. They workers worked nonstop and fast, it was amazing to see them go. I would recommend them as they did go above and beyond in things such as: Checking in to make sure the work is being done correctly Delivery supplies due our change in the design Cleaning up very well each day Assisting in areas that need fixing due to our previous renos Scheduling us within a short time from Even dressing professional in the company logo when meeting with us I love my new stair, thank you Ideal Stairs!

staircase re-facing
We had our circular staircase finished by another company who made an absolute mess of the stairs, spindles and railing. We contacted Ideal Stairs and Mesh attended our home as promised. Mesh was absolutely fair and sympathetic with his pricing of the job to correct someone else’s mess. Mesh and his crew started the job as promised and completed the job earlier than estimated. The crew worked hard while showing respect and dignity to us and our home. The job site was always left clean upon completion of each day’s work. We very much appreciate the help that Ideal Stairs provided and we adore the job that was done. This company is straight up with no gimmicks, they know their business. We would highly recommend their services.

Stair Replacement/Renovation
I can't say enough about Mesh and his team. As evident from other reviews, from the initial contact to the final inspection, Mesh kept me fully informed of progress throughout. His team worked diligently to complete the job and we are very pleased with the results. When he was concerned that refinishing the existing newel posts and spindles would not look good with the rest of the job, he even offered to absorb the cost of the new newel posts and spindles. How many contractors would do that. If you need a stair renovation or hardwood installed, run don't walk to Ideal Stairs and hope that they service your area. You will not be disappointed.

Hardwood Floor; New Stairs
Mesh and his team did excellent work for a fair price. They put down about 1000 square feet of solid hardwood and built brand new stairs (basement and upper) and bannisters. Very high quality of materials and craftsmanship. It shows that they take pride in their work. This job was part of a major reno, we had issues with our other jobs and contractors but in the face of problems, Ideal Stairs provided me with solutions at every turn: they were patient, flexible and got the job done well in a timely fashion. Excellent level of customer service. After we paid in full and the other renos were complete, Ideal Stairs came back to do finishing touch ups. These too were done in a timely way and the work was again very high quality. We had large holes in the floor from radiators that were moved, and asked them to do a quick fix. Instead, they replaced the whole wood panel for a clean and professional finish. Mesh and his crew were a real pleasure to work with. We love our new floors and stairs.

Stair Refinishing
We just had Mesh and his 2 guys in to refinish our golden oak 2 story curved staircase (circa 1992). They did a really nice job, The white risers and dark stained treads turned out really well. They were done in a week - they taped off the area (it STILL gets dusty) but the guys were very hard workers and finished in 6 days. Great job, would highly recommend.

Staircase (replace carpet), hardwood flooring installation
Ideal Stairs refinished our outdated carpeted oak staircase beautifully and installed hardwood on the entire 2nd floor. Raj and his team were professional and friendly, They were always on time, worked diligently on the job, and took pride in their work. Cleanup was daily, and everything was completed on schedule, turnaround time was only 4 days. Thanks Guys, Good Job!
