    thermostat

    I was having issues regulating the heat in my home! Rockwood installed a new thermostat for me completely solving the issue! Rockwood puts the customer first and ensures quality and professionalism in every aspect. The pricing was unbeatable!

    Basement electrical

    I lost the power in half my basement, its a house in hidden valley. Called Rockwood and booked an appointment. From the first contact they were very professional and helpful in explaining the issue.

    Basement Reno

    I have used Rockwood Electric in the past to do a Reno on my main floor and also half my basement. I recently used them to do the other half as I was doing a basement suite. There was a issue regarding some previous wiring that Rockwood had done before that was an issue with the new space. It was creating a lot of extra work by the way it was done and I felt that maybe it should have been another way. Shane from Rockwood came over to have a look, we had a brief and very constructive conversation regarding the wiring issue. Although technically and code wise there was nothing done wrong he stated "we don't have a guarantee to not honor it we have it so customers will always feel comfortable with working with us" That comment is the reason why I'm writing this review. The fact that there was a question in regards to how something was done and I was not 100% satisfied they took my complaint serious and corrected the problem on there dollar. Thanks again look forward to using Rockwood in the future with my other projects.

    Emergency Electrical Work

    At 10pm on a Sunday I lost power to half of my house (including my refrigerator and deep freeze) and could hear crackling in the electrical panel. After calling 3 electrical companies (2 did not do after hours work and the other was too busy on other emergency calls to help) I found Rockwood electric on the internet and gave them a call. I had someone at my house within the hour. They were great at making me aware of the costs associated with the work they were doing so there were no surprises when the bill arrived. After getting electricity back to the house for the night they left and returned the next morning to replace a breaker. Everything was done in a prompt manner and the electrician (Shane) was very friendly and knowledgeable.

    Ceiling Fan installs, Replace smoke detectors, Troubleshooting

    I had Rockwood Electric come to my home to install 2 ceiling fans, replace 3 smoke detectors , install a timer switch for a ventilation fan, and troubleshoot some lights that were flickering. Dale from Rockwood was punctual, friendly, honest, knowledgable and very professional. I am very happy with all the work that was done. When troubleshooting the flickering lights, Dale found the cause of the issue at the breaker box and was able to fix it, preventing a potential hazard in the future if left unchecked. He wore covers over his footwear to keep the house clean and vacuumed all work areas upon completion. Thanks Dale! Highly Recommended

    Electrical

    A quote was given first, the work was done efficiently. (Diagnostic test, repairs and replacements of electrical outlets.) The electrician came when he said he would and wore booties over his footwear to keep the house clean - no mess left behind. The price was good and we really like the 5 year warranty. They are easy to get hold of too, someone answers the phone when you call. Will definitely use Rockwood again. Excellent service and we are very happy with the work.

    Closet light

    Had Shane from Rockwood come and add a light in my bedroom closet. From what I knew it was going to be impossible to do. Within a little bit had my light up and everything was cleaned up and ready to go. My girlfriend is now happy and can see in the closet. After that went through the rest of my house and checked all my electrical. Would recommend these guys to friends and family for sure.

    Light fixtures replace

    I needed to replace 3 of my outside light fixtures. Dale arrived on time and gave me a very reasonable quote after examining what had to be done. One of the new light fixtures I bought turned out to be broken but Dale kindly agreed to stay while I went to the store to replace it. Meanwhile, he offered to have my house electric panel, outlets and smoke detectors checked- free of charge! Overall he was knowledgeable, polite and very professional. I would definitely use them again!

    Basement Development

    I found those I interacted with at Rockwood to be very friendly and professional. The price was very fair for the service provided. I feel like Rockwood went beyond their expected duty to leave me as a satisfied customer.

    Electrical Problem

    We had our basement developed and used a local " handyman" he convinced us that he was able to do everything. He had us get an electrical permit through the city. We had all of our work inspected and everything seemed fine. After the basement was done a few months later we tried to use some outlets and they did not work. We went to the breaker box and noticed some breakers off and turned them on, that caused other breakers to turn off. Now the stove did not work. We called our "handyman" to come have a look he didn't know what the issue was and told us that it was inspected so his work was good and left. We tried to live with it for a bit but it did not seem right, a friend of ours had Rockwood fix some electrical problems and told us to call them. We called set an appointment, Shane come out, he told us exactly how much it was going to cost before he started and told us that there would be no surprises. After sometime he had it figured out and fixed and did his best to explain to me what happened. It was one of those situation where someone who did the original work had enough knowledge to do something dangerous but not realize it. I questioned why the inspector did not catch it, he also explained that this would have been very hard to visual see that it was wrong. He was very professional and took the time to go over every detail to ensure everything worked 100%. I also was able to extend my warranty to 7 years on his work!
