Terry an independent HVAC contractor with 30+ years HVAC experience working for City Home Comfort installed a Trane furnace, air conditioner, humidifier and UV light air purifier at our Toronto house. Noxious fumes were noticed after the installation was complete. We called City Home Comfort several times and asked for an appointment with a technician.   We were suffering from headaches and had moved our children upstairs to sleep.   The smell of burning plastic from the furnace was due to the melting plastic that was not removed when the UV light was installed. Chris the second technician, found melting plastic but no gas leak. Chris confirmed that he didn’t use a gas detector. We found the gas leak by sniffing the piping into the furnace and finding a leak at a joint. Chris returned when we called to report the gas leak    We called City Home Comfort and asked to speak with the owner. Chris, owner of City Home Comfort for 40 years, introduced himself as the head of customer service but when pressed, agreed that he was the owner. We asked Chris to meet us at our house to review the issues (too many to list here) but Chris refused. We notified the TSSA and Enbridge Gas Distribution, who found a large number of safety violations and issued a TSSA Inspector's order to City Home Comfort. Additional warning hazard notifications were issued by Enbridge Gas. Terry returned to our house and spent a full day addressing the order including replacement of gas piping, the UV air purifier, and venting. For the first time, Terry conducted a gas pressure test. Due to negligent work completed by Terry, City Home Comfort risked our family's health. Chris' lack of accountability and professionalism is appalling. The TSSA report is attached.

In mid December, My furnace suddenly died and I had no heat in the home. I called around to see who could get the work done, how much and how quickly. City Home Comfort came up on top in all regards. After talking to City Home Comfort and trading some emails, they reserved me a spot for a furnace installation for the next day even as I was contemplating my options. The customer service was excellent - I was provided detailed information about my options for a furnace and their recommendation - I made my decision that evening. The new furnace was installed the next day. I was so happy to have heat in my home again. The technicians worked hard - a straight 5 hrs to get everything set up. They were very dedicated. When the job was completed they cleaned up, explained me what they did and how it works. Really good service. I will definitely opt for City Home Comfort for other heating/cooling services. Keep it up guys!

This company came and installed an Amana furnace for our home. Our 10 year old Lennox model has been red tagged due to cracked heat exchanger. Shawn sent us a quote for a new furnace after 30 minutes of calling the office. Chris and Dean came the next day and did a very professiona and clean installation. Thank you for the fast response and I will recommend them to anyone.

Had City Home Comfort do a furnace install, and although the initial consultation went very well, the workmanship fell completely short! Went with the Amana two stage furnace as it is reliable. The guys showed up on time and started on the work. They were pleasant and I left them to do the install. After it was completed I noticed they drilled a hole from the outside through my floor joist. They did come back to fix the problem, but should have never happened in the first place. After speaking with Chris he did assure me the joist was fine and offered an annual service cleaning at no cost.

I dealt with City Home Comfort to replace my air conditioning unit. Chris and everyone at CHC were friendly and accomodating. The work was done efficiently and the price was reasonable. I am looking forward to continuing to use CHC for my future heating and cooling needs.

Long time customer. Friendly service, technician arrived on time and left a detailed inspection report. He changed out the furnace filter and made sure everything was working properly. Have never had any problems with CHC in over 30 plus years.

City Home Comfort proved to be a great Vendor for my HVAC needs. My current 30 year old HVAC was close to retirement, with the furnace having undergone a few repairs, so I decided to get a new one before winter hits. With so many choices, dealers and huge price fluctuations across the GTA, it's hard to make a decision. After about 2 weeks of intense research on both Product and Dealers, I decided to go with City Home Comfort and a Trane furnace...with summer almost over, I was going to delay the AC upgrade until next spring. On the sales side, Shawn was exceptionally friendly and professional and, after going through a bunch of options and products, gave me a great deal on a Trane furnace, filter and humidifier. I had a few days time off and wanted to get the job done ASAP. Shawn worked his magic and 2 days later, Chris and his colleague (sorry forgot his name) showed up at my door with the furnace, ready to install. As the removal of the old furnace and installation of the new Trane was unfolding, I discovered the AC evap coil was rusted and was leaking - even though I wanted to postpone the AC upgrade until next year, I decided to get this done as well, if possible. So I picked up the phone and called Shawn around 3pm with a last minute emergency request - this was on a Friday... by 5:30 Shawn personally dropped the Trane AC at my door, after battling the GTA from one end to another (whew..!!) On the installation side, Chris and his colleague did a really great job, answering my ongoing questions and accommodating my requests throughout the day...the last minute AC upgrade was supposed to happen the next day, but Chris and his technician decided to stay and finish the job on a Friday evening...and they managed to pull it off in overtime, to my satisfaction and total admiration of their attitude and quality of work. It is hence withough saying that I highly recommend City Home Comfort for any HVAC needs, with competitive pricing and great quality of work. Thx again folks - cheers !

Well i was looking for an a/c company to give me a quote on moving This company has the nerve to charge me $150.00.....to get my business. Their competition does not do that. Its all about the money..... And i bet they overcharge as well

We were so happy we found out about City Home Comfort! From the beginning, there was no annoying sales pitch or pressure. Shawn was informative and took the time to go over the various options in great detail. The installation itself was stress free. Terry who installed the furnace was very professional and left the place nice and clean. Overall, a great experience. We will definitely call City Home Comfort again for any future HVAC needs in our home!

We looked around for quotes after our furnace suddenly broke down and could not be repaired. Shawn and company were polite, kind, efficient, and had us up and running within a couple of days. Competitive pricing and good customer service - our tech was just as professional and efficient.
