Still running without issue but I felt it's getting old and did not want to get caught with it breaking down in the middle of winter. I shopped around and decided to go with City Home Comfort. Shawn from City Home Comfort actually gave us quite a few options with competitive pricing. We had no problem during installation. Ken and another person came to do the installation which took almost the entire day as estimated. This tells me that they took their time to do things right to the best of their abilities. They answered all my questions about the installation. They were punctual, courteous and friendly. The installation looks clean and neat and they cleaned up well after the work is done. So far, we have no issues with the new furnace although it's only been running for less than 2 months. Hopefully, this new furnace will last 25 years or longer like the last one. Excellent service from the first call and the estimate to the install team. Shawn who responded to my call was one of the best support people Ive worked with- his job was to recommend a new furnace. He discovered - by phone and photo that the unit we had was too big ( actually we have 2 both weee too big). He offered a number of replacement units he did not try and upsell me to the most expensive but helped find units to met my needs. He was patient in explaining the options. I mentioned we were having house guests the following week and no at least one immediate replacement. He manage to send two teams and two furnaces within a few days. The install team seemed knowledgeable and have pride in their work - the two units were done in a day , the clean up was impeccable- they actually brought their own broom and dustpan - a first. Very disappointed. The hot water heater install was good. But the installers tried to squeeze multiple vans in our driveway - and knocked a stone wall. As compensation from CHC - they offered a free HVAC servicing which was acceptable to me. I never heard back from them. Management is falling short. Unhappy. Would not recommend.Answer from pro:

I recently had the pleasure of working with City Home Comfort for the installation of a new Heat Pump and Furnace, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. From the start, Shawn, the Senior Project Manager, was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. He provided me with all the necessary information to make an informed decision about the right HVAC system for my home. His expertise and patience made the selection process much smoother. After conducting thorough research and comparing various HVAC dealers, I chose City Home Comfort based on their reasonable pricing and positive reviews. When it came time for the installation, Chris and his assistant Luca arrived on schedule and worked efficiently. They completed the installation in just two days without any hiccups, which was impressive. Its been about two weeks since the installation, and I'm pleased to report that the HVAC system is performing as expected. The entire process, from the initial consultation to the final setup, was handled with professionalism and care. I highly recommend City Home Comfort to anyone in need of HVAC system replacement or servicing. My usual technician was unfortunately not available that day. A different technician arrived unannounced at the estimated time frame, he was not adequately equipped with the proper tools or a shop vac, he used a cordless hand vacuum (after I asked where his shop vac was - I hope he used it to clean the blower fan), was told that the cordless vacuum is the usual tool that he uses to clean furnaces with! The technician looked unprofessional and unkempt. He even had to come upstairs to check the brand of thermostat that I had, when he could've just asked me instead. My regular technician has never asked to see my thermostat and has always been totally prepared and fully equipped. The replacement technician did not tell me to shut off the heat after he finished servicing the furnace; I had to ask. However, he was polite, knowledgeable and respectful. Overall, I will need to re-evaluate my options next year if this is the expected quality of service for the foreseeable future. Not at all impressed with this technician. To the business owner: please ensure your technicians are fully equipped with the proper tools and a commercial shop vac. I called this company for repairs on my Bosch ductless mini-split because they were certified experts in this system. After providing the specific model numbers, they assured me they had the necessary expertise. However, the technician missed the first appointment without any notification. When I contacted the dispatcher, she informed me he had been assigned another job and bumped me without notice. I decided to reschedule, but this led to more issues. After four attempts over a month, each time the technician either prioritized installation jobs over my repair or, in one instance, arrived without the required expertise to solve the problem. This has been a significant waste of time, involving multiple appointments and numerous phone calls. This company does not prioritize customer service for repairs once a system is installed. I would caution anyone considering their installation services, since they will not prioritize supporting you in the future when you need maintenance.Answer from pro:

My unit was making a noise. Technician arrived early and did a thorough check. Issue with motor and also coolant was low, due to possible leak.. Offered option to repair or replace. Got a bosch heat pump installed with them last year. Install was OK but had an issue which they fixed after several follow ups, pre install sales was prompt. Their post install support / service is awful. I have run into intermittent noise coming from my unit and have attempted since fall 2023 to get them to look at it. Done so via email and phone to contact them for service and repair. I have also sent videos to assist them with troubleshooting. Absolutely 0 follow up or urgency on this. CHC has been maintaining our furnace and AC for many years. They are professional, efficient, reasonably priced and very responsive. Shawn was prompt and courteous, and fixed the problem immediately. Always happy with the service.
