    Water heater replacement

We rent our water heater from Reliance, and the old unit had sprung a leak. We called Reliance a couple of days ago and they sent Andrew ID: 2407 for initial investigation. During the investigation, it was found that the unit was rusting on the inside and Andrew had recommended the unit be replaced. The unit arrived today and Andrew was the tech who ended up with our service ticket again. Andrew along with the assistance of his co-worker Wes ID:2491 drained and removed the old unit and later replaced with a new 50gal Rheem. Still too early to comment on the new unit, but I would like to Thank Andrew ID: 2407 for the initial assessment of issue, and later resolution of issue with the assistance of Wes ID: 2491.

    Furnace Repair Service

Thanks so much to PHIL LATOUR employee number 7546. His service was excellent. Very friendly, placed covers over his shoes. Took the time to talk about how we can better maintain our service, and did a wonderful job cleaning the furnace to make it run better. He was such a big help to us.

    Water Heater Service

The plastic drain valve on our rented Reliance water heater snapped off causing water to flood our utility room in the basement. We had to cut-off the water which left us without hot water for the remainder of the night and unable to give the kids baths. Fortunately, a Reliance Service Tech was in the neighborhood. I flagged him down and he immediately scheduled a service call. Angelo (ID# 1806) went above and beyond to service our unit and get the hot water running again in our house. Can't thank Angelo and the service team at Reliance enough !!!!!

    Quietside

As a rental customer I feel completely ripped off and dissatisfied with Reliance. I rented a Quietside Tankless water heater from your company, it has broken down twice in 2 years and I've lost hot water as a result. I called Reliance, had a service technician from Encore come out and tell me that it would need to be replaced due to a faulty water sensor. He could not order a new part because the unit is now discontinued so I was told I had to replace the entire unit. I was told it would cost over $1000 to replace because of the home infrastructure and the fact that I had 25ft of ABS piping running through my garage. It was replaced with a Rinnai over 2 weeks later, they changed 5ft of the piping and still charged the same amount. About a week later, I had to get another repair tech to come by because it was improperly installed and the new unit was leaking everywhere. What are the benefits of being a rental customer again? When this new Rinnai system breaks down in another 2 years and I find out the unit is discontinued, will I have to go through this process again? As a renter, all of these charges should be covered. Why are you penalizing your customers for renting bad products you chose to represent, and why do you give your customers the false sense of "comfort" that our equipment will be repaired if it breaks?
