    Water Heater Service Call

    Our rented water heater has been randomly turning off recently. A Reliance technician (Amber, Employee #1620) showed up when promised and quickly fixed the problem... for free! Thanks a lot, Amber!

    Air Conditioning Repair

    Customer service was awesome. Very courteous and helpful. As were the techs that came out, Ryan Wells did a great job. The only problem I had was on the first visit they realized that we needed a new condenser fan, unfortunately a fan for a furnace was ordered and not one for an air conditioner. Not sure if Reliance ordered the wrong part or if the company supplying them sent the wrong one. So it put the repair 4 days behind. I will say that the service at Reliance has improved considerably over the last 3 years. Fast, efficient and friendly.

    Reliance Furnace 21 Point Tune Up

    When I called to book app't, they were very curtious and professional. They explained everything to me and the cost. The Serviceman was very informative and knowledgeable. Great Price with Great Service.

    Air Conditioning Service

    Called Reliance on Sunday morning for Air Conditioning Service, and service man was there Sunday afternoon! My service man's name was Bill Bootle, and he couldn't have been better! Thanks Reliance for such quick service, for showing up when you say you will, and for Bill's good work!

    A/C service & repair

    Extremely impressed by "Rick" and his professional and knowledgable repair of my A/C unit. Very friendly and courteous, even offered advice how to maintain equipment. This was a no charge service through the Home Comfort Plan and glad I have the plan!

    Sales & Furnace Installation

    Bill from your sales dept. and Dan, the tech. that installed my furnace was exceptional. They were both very knowledgeable and helpful in their explanations and tips on operating my furnace and A/C unit. Punctuality was a plus and Dan worked alone installing the furnace and was very efficient. I was extremely happy with both their services and would recommend Reliance to my friends.

    Furnace and Air Conditioner

    I had the pleasure of dealing with Dean Timpany from your London office. Our existing furnace and central AC came over on the Mayflower and after a service appointment we decided that we needed something new (this was based on our conversation with service technicican). Upon meeting with Dean I found him to be very easy to talk to. He explained the various systems available and what he felt was the best for our home. He also figured out what would be the best financial plan for us. At no time did I feel pressure to purchase anything. During our discussions he made reference his own home and what he had. All our questions were answered to my satisfaction which made our decision easier. Dean is very professional at the same time a very personable individual. Based on this experience I would approach Reliance Home Comfort in the future.

    Hot water heater

    David Tran of Flan-Air attended my residence to fix my hot water tank (no hot water). He was very knowledgable and repaired the unit very quickly. He called when he was scheduled to and attended the residence around my work schedule. Very pleased with his service and his personable demeanour.

    Water Heater Repair

    I recently purchased a new house and took over the Reliance water heater rental. Upon Union Gas coming out to service and enable the gas to the house, they noticed the hot water heater pilot switch was broken. I contacted Reliance to have it fixed and they had a technician on-site within 20 minutes (Jason A). He then had a look at the switch and determined it was indeed broken and it had to be replaced. Unfortunately it wasn't a common part to break, so he had to take a quick trip to the depot to grab one. During the time he was out, a competitor of Reliance (which they won't let me name in this review) sales rep. showed up at my house. He fed me a whole whack of sales propaganda and set up a "tentative sales appointment" for later in the week. Jason returned just as the sales rep. was wrapping up and heading out the door. After I escorted the sales rep. out and went back down to the basement, the new part was already installed and ready to go. I informed Jason about the other sales rep. and all of the propaganda he had given me. He then proceeded to explain to me the truth behind what the rep. actually was there for. Basically that the "tentative appointment" was an installation appointment and not an informational appointment the rep.sold me on, and that they were going to show up with a water heater ready to install. He also explained how (company that shall remain nameless) contracts out their technicians, along with the fact that it was likely a 15 year or indefinite contract for the new water heater. All truthful information after reading around reviews on the Internet. One particular article by the Toronto Star about "Water Heater Fraud" (written by Ellen) goes into the depth of the trickery. After getting some very insightful and honest answers from Jason, I decided to call up and cancel my appointment with (company that shall remain nameless) right then and there. Once that was all said and done, I bombarded Jason with questions regarding the furnace, water heater and AC. Since I'm a new home owner and our furnace definitely needs to be replaced (as old as the home from 1963)... I was curious his opinion on the matter. He was very knowledgeable and offered both his professional and personal opinions openly. I then asked him who to contact if I wanted more information about my existing water heater and contract. He went so far as to set me up an appointment that was convenient for my schedule, instead of just giving me a random number to call and do so myself. Jason was extremely friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and above all, professional! Listen up Reliance management, I'm a new home owner and after dealing with you for the first time... I'm very impressed. Not only did Jason save me from a sketchy contract with (company that shall remain nameless), he also provided me with a ton of knowledge about my home. This man deserves a raise, if nothing else! Thanks again Reliance and especially Jason, I look forward to dealing with you both down the road if I need any future services.
