    BEWARE - DO NOT LET THEM INTO YOUR HOME

    These shady extortionists are like crooked car mechanics. They come looking for and cause more problems than you had in the first place and then give you a hugely inflated estimate to fix those problems. We called them to repair our central air conditioner. The contractor spent more time looking at our water heater and furnace (both working fine) than he did the A/C. Then he did damage to our furnace and threatened to shut off our gas unless we paid them to fix it! It was obviously a well rehearsed scheme.

    NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

    This company is a joke. The first time we switched on our BRAND NEW AC unit this summer, it didn't work. Turns out it was an incomplete install and the technician didn't open the factory seal on the valves to let the coolant through. So basically the compressor fried as soon as we (unknowingly) let it run dry for several nights in a desperate attempt to cool the house. Since then it has taken about 10 calls, 6 technicians and complete failure of any communication between all of these parties involved over the course of the past few weeks—AND IT STILL ISN’T FIXED. Each technician that showed up had no info on what we had talked to the helpdesk about or what the guy before him had done, so each came in to do their own set of tests and opinions. One day we had 2 technicians come in a row, the second one re-doing all the same tests (pressure test, etc.). Finally technician #5 ordered us a new compressor, fully covered by our warranty. He followed up the next day saying it's out of stock. Literally 20 minutes later, a compressor was delivered. Ridiculous!! After yet another call to the helpline, Technician #6 comes by the next day and turns out the earlier guy didn't order the filter that's supposed to go with it. Currently waiting for this filter to be delivered ( it's 1 day late and the helpline has no idea about this order, and no way to re-order it for us) and so had to cancel the Technician #7 who was due to come in today to replace the compressor and filter. Filter finally came and Technician #8 showed up tonight (half hour after the window of time they gave us. Another day off work wasted, thanks!) And he comes to deliver a furnace filter (WHAT?!?!? But thanks for the cheap free furnace filter we didn't need) ...he says he knows nothing about replacing the compressor and that he will be back tomorrow to take a look and see what needs to be done! HOW is this company still functional? This is the 21st century, how is there zero communication between all employees/technicians/customer service! 3 weeks of little to no functioning AC, through 2 of the biggest heatwaves we've seen in a while. I'm sick of talking to different people each day and explaining the same thing over and over again. There are no words to explain how ridiculous, unprofessional and terribly disorganized this company is!

    AC

    Newly installed in 2015. Issues came since 2017. Reliance is not immune from bureaucracy. The process of finally fixing it right takes 5 to 6 visits from reliance. All seemed to be contract technician. Finally their own technician, a very skillful and thorough young man, fixed the problem. Now it runs wonderfully. I am very satisfied with the gentleman who finally fixed my almost new AC. To be fair, no machine runs perfectly forever. But I am disappointed that it broke down so fast (2 yrs after it is installed), and, most importantly, it takes so many visits to finish the job, especially the last break-down happened during the heat wave in early July. I have mixed feeling for the choice I made with Reliance. One thing for sure: any company would be lucky to have that last technician visited me (and fixed the problem) on their back. Reliance: fix your response system - you are wasting your money for no result.

    Mark was awesome

    Mark Chevalier was terrific. He solved our problem and was efficient, knowlegable and polite. Have always been happy with Reliance technician, but not happy with contractor. Will get Reliance back again if we ever have another problem.

    Awesomeness

    Woke up to horrific noise and like me, my old and decrepit A/C bit the dust. Repairman Joe, came and performed last rites and Jill swept in and made arrangements for life to be cool again. Professional, friendly and quick service. Thanks for everything.

    (Plumbing) repaired leaky tap and installed new kitchen faucet

    Very pleased with prompt & professional service provided by Matt J #4657. Would recommend him highly for any plumbing related services. Took time to explain process and make us as a customer very satisfied.

    Problem with the customer care

    I was called by customer care and given 2 months free protection plan. I called back before starting the plan and asked them to cancel and it took 4-5 hops to reach out to person who can answer. They responded back nothing will be charged and you can cancel after 2 months. I got a bill now with the charges and again I had to call back for enquiry. I was told that first it will be debited and then it will be credited in next 2-3 billing cycles. Not sure what part of it was free then? And when I asked questions I was passed to different peoples which wasted a lot of my time with customer care team. Will not try any promotional offer again with them.

    Happy

    We got a new air conditioner installed and the techs were very kind and knowledgeable. They walked me through the install and left my house neat and tidy. I would recommend.

    Reverse sesmoses

    I was very happy with Bernie. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand. He phoned me before coming and was on time. He left everything cleaned up after he was finished installing the machine.

    Water heater service

    Excellent service from Kody O'Mara. Water heater pilot was shutting off frequently. Called Reliance and had service within an hour. Completed repair within 20 minutes. Continue to be high on the service provided by Reliance and their team of contractors.
