    Replacement of a leaking water heater (rental unit)

    Your telephone receptionist, Michelle, was very informative and professional. The technicians ,Ron Baxter and Casey, were cordial and efficient and took every precaution to avoid any unnecessary mess or collateral damage. Within four hours of contact the new unit was installed and the damaged one removed. Thank you for your prompt and efficient attention to our needs. G.W.Young E

    Furnace purchase

    Our furnace had major deficiencies and we contacted Reliance. We decided we might purchase a new furnace. Arrangements were made quickly for Tori to come and talk with us as we have no heat in our home and we are using portable heaters to keep us warm and we have no hot water. Tori was very helpful and knowledgeable about their products and gave us options to help us make a decision. She was polite and friendly. She is a great asset to the Reliance team here in the Sault as is Dave who promptly came to help us with our problem. Great staff.

    boiler combi

    meet with John Sageloly today and got set up with a new boiler combination system on the rental plan. customer service was excelled and explained eveetching. Pleasure to deal with and looking forward to new system and peace of mind with the rental!!

    Sales rep visit for new upgraded furnace, central air a/c and power vented hot water tank

    I had a new chimney installed by a mason on June 9th of 2017. Since having my heat on, my entire house became extremely humid and all windows are sweating. There is black mold on the sills , wall and baseboards laundry room where the furnace is. This is on the main floor. The chimney that is covered in plaster, began to blister under the paint. I called the mason to explain that something was wrong. He came the next day, January 16, 2017 and checked the chimney area indoors. He said the problem was not with the chimney, but that I needed a new window (beside the chimney) as it was the problem and that the black was dirt, not mold.. Thank goodness I had an annual visit scheduled for a furnace inspection, as it turned out the chimney was blocked and carbon monoxide was returning into my house and I was getting poisoned. Thanks to the tech, Grant W who turned off the gas to the furnace and hot water tank and called George Waye to visit with me about getting new appliances and having my heat restored. I will discuss how Grant went above and beyond, on another site. George was very patient and explained everything about the newer furnaces , a/c's and hot water tanks and how they work, which is what I wanted to know. He is also a very personable gentleman and we formed a good relationship. George did not pressure me at any time but he did advise me on what he believed was best for me after discussing what I was looking for and what I needed. I think he's a wonderful sales person, with much knowledge, patience and kindness which makes a person feel that he is treating you as he would a family member. I am impressed with both George and Grant W and would highly recommend Reliance to my friends and anyone I know! As I am not allowed to write another review, I want to say that Grant W, the tech who came to do the annual inspection, was the one who diagnosed the problem with the blocked chimney and resulting CO leaks. He explained everything to me and let me see the CO readings before shutting them down. He called Adam Wells at TSSA and sent him a photo of my receipt for the chimney and liner. He had me call and rent a new hot water tank and advised me to get an electrical outlet nearby. He also called George Waye to come to advise me on a new furnace and a/c as my chimney is useless and a thing of the past. He also called and spoke to my brother to explain the situation and have him pick up some good heaters to do until my new furnace comes. I am 70 in march and live alone and do not drive, so having him go above and beyond what his job entails, left me impressed with his kindness. He made sure I was comfortable in the knowledge that something was being done and he explained everything and presented me with my options. Both Grant W. and George Waye are employees that Reliance Home Comfort can be proud of!

    No heat in the house

    They fixed my heat. And also told me about promotions they had. Very nice guys as well. Knew what they were doing and didn’t take long thanks guys ! !

    Furnace Installation and AC

    My old furnace quit working and I call Reliance. The Home Comfort Advisor Mark Clatney is topnotch and the tech who installed our furnace. Great job guys! If you’re around Ottawa area and you have a heat and AC problem call Reliance and they will help you. Mark Clatney the Home advisor offered us 2 portable heater for a night to survive the cold January weather. Very nice guy.

    Three days with no heat . The technician did not order all needed parts, the second technician ordered another and who knows when this will be done.

    I am renting a furnace from Reliance ( three years old ), Suddenly the furnace stopped working. Called reliance, the first technician come and said we need to order some parts ( he does not have any stock ) , the process is that the part will come to customers and then we have to call again reliance to book for another appointements . So as I have no heat , I took a day off waited for the part so I can call them as soon as I get the part. Another technician come and OPPPS he need more parts ( he also does not have these part in his car ), so we will repeat the process and will have to wait for the other part then call them again and hopefully will not have more surprises . To be continued Can not believe this is the process of repairs for a company in 2018!

    Furnace humidifier service

    We had 72 Degrees Comfort Control to follow up with a part installation on our furnace, they called prior to coming over. Talking with them they quickly diagnosed the problem and made the repair they are knowledgeable and efficient I would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Plumbing service
