    Maintenance call

Had air conditioner and furnace maintenance call done today. The tech was very polite and helpful. He explained everything to both my husband and I. Turns out the furnace is on its last legs so he set up an apppointment for a quote as well as leaving me some written info which he took the time to explain to me. always happy with the service Teliance provides.

    water tank service

We called for service due to lack of hot water. Someone did show up but thought it was a small issue and didn't do a proper check. He did managed to get us hot water but it was short lived after he left. The following day we still experienced no hot water running so we called again and this time we got Arash Setayesh, who quickly knew what the problem was fixed it with excellent service. He explained to us what the problem was and reassured us. He was great!!

    TERRIBLE contract - highly unrecommended

This is a terrible business to work with. Do not rent a water heater, and if you must, do not rent from Reliance. We were saddled with a contract when we purchased our place, and the water heater was not installed to code. We have to install a new heater, but with 18 months on our contract, we are unable to return the unit. We would be happy to pay the rental costs in full for the remainder of the contract, all 18 months of rental, but we cannot return it until the end of the contract. If we do return it before the last day of the contract, we are charged for the purchase of the unit, which is 660+HST. ZERO STARS. To add insult to injury, we have a 2-day window to return it, after which point we will be charged for our "rental" again. In the spirit of piling on, we then have to pay a standard fee to return the heater. Also, their customer service is terrible. Don't expect to reach anyone within 24 hours. If you don't believe me, google Competition Bureau and Reliance Home Comfort for the Government of Canada's response to Reliance's highly unethical practices.

    No hot water or heat

It has now been over a week with no hot water or heat. I have made several appointments, 6 and counting that have been cancelled by reliance. I have now missed 3 days of work. If I had any other choice I would use it. Can anyone recommend what I can do to get a hot water heater replaced.

    Service

Had a furnace and A/C installed in my home. Vince spent time with me to find a product that would best meet my desires and my financial situation. The furnace operated wonderfully and kept the house warm over the winter. Today, Ken & Joe were here to install the A/C portion of the unit. Service was friendly, efficient and personal. Thank you Reliance!
