    Supply only

    Brock windows and doors were excellent. I made a supply only order, I checked out other companies and even a few big box stores. Brock windows was able to take my measurements and make a custom window. It was even less money then the standard sizes other stores were offering. turn around time was only 3 weeks. I drove to the nearest location and loaded in my truck. for me to be able to slowly replace 1 window at a time doing it at my own pace will save me thousands.

    House renovation

    We bought a fixer upper a few years ago and have been slowly chipping away at the renovations. We recently ordered all the windows for the basement through Brock and was quite pleased with the service. My husband is a contractor so we provided the dimensions to them and was quickly given a quote. We did shop around and found that Brock gave us a better deal, I believe they had a promo on at the time. We picked the windows up from the Brampton location and they were made exactly to our measurements. Would highly recommend Brock to friends and family.

    Accounting Dept spoiled what was an excellent experience.

    I ordered new windows and they were installed ahead of schedule. The Installers were professional if a little lax when it came to mask wearing. Everything was fine with the install except one small issue with one window. No big deal. I used a Credit Card for the original $2,000 deposit. 6 weeks later I paid for the completed job with my Line of Credit ($5700). They had for some unacceptable reason retained my original MC info and wrongly charged that account. OK mistakes happen. I called immediately (Nov 12) and left several messages. No response. Called again the next day and no response. Later that day Brock's Service Dept called me to arrange an appt to fix the problem window and I asked them to transfer me to the Accounting Dept. After explaining the issue the gentleman I spoke to assured me the issue would be fixed immediately and he would confirm by email. It is now Nov 17 and nothing has been fixed. I am overdrawn on a MC I use for small expenses, have been charged an overdraft fee of $29 and probably had a notice sent to the credit bureau. All because of a mistake that shouldn't have happened and once notified should have been fixed immediately. I am very unhappy.

    Rear French door disaster

    Great salesman came out to give us the info. Measurements were made and we determined that a custom door would work with the opening available. Miscommunication between the sales person and Head Office (we presume) resulted in an employee from the company coming out to remeasure the opening for the door. We were told that we would now need to cut into the brick in order to widen the opening. We thought it strange because we were getting a custom door. We contacted the sales rep that we had met with, initially, and he said he would contact Head Office to get it straightened out. He called us back and said it had been straightened out. On the day of the install, the door was fine, but the caulking job was poorly done. In some areas the caulking was thick, in other areas thinly applied, and in several corners, missing. The caulking was also very haphazardly applied. We took pictures and requested that it be redone. We also noted that wind was blowing under the door, which seemed odd for a brand, new door. The pictures and our concerns about the weather stripping were communicated to Head Office. We were told a person would be out to fix the problem. I believe his name is Tom - great guy who did an amazing fix on the caulking. He was aware of the issue with the weather stripping, but did not have the proper weather stripping to fix the issue. This was communicated to Head Office. We were told that another employee would be out with the weather stripping. The gentleman who arrived did not have the proper length of weather stripping, so it was not installed. This was communicated to Head Office. We indicated that we would not pay the balance of the payment until we received the proper weather stripping. That was in the spring, prior to Covid-19 restrictions. We have yet to receive the proper weather stripping. Today we received an email from the collection agency for the balance of the payment owing. We refuse to pay until we receive a complete product.

    Window Installation

    In August of 2011, I had 5 windows installed by this company. They weren't cheap but the salesman sold me on the company's reputation and their guarantee. The windows are great. I have no complaints. A few years ago (I can't remember which year) we had an exceptionally cold winter. I believe the term 'polar vortex' came into fashion as a result of that winter. In the middle of the cold snap, I woke up one morning to a huge crack in the window. I called the company about the crack and was told that cracks were not covered under the warranty. This was upsetting because clearly there was a defect in the window. Nonetheless, after my anger wore off, I called back the company and arranged for them to come in and do the repair. I was quoted a price of $278.84. The repair was done in July of 2016. Since the work was done in July and my AC was on I had on need to open the window. A couple of months later, I went to open the window and that was when I noticed the terrible job that was done. The plastic panel at the bottom of the window that you would hold to lift the window was not installed properly so you can't lift the window from the bottom. From the photo, you can see that the plastic piece should fit into the groove at the bottom. It is clearly too long. Anger got the best of me and to be honest, I was so done with this company that I didn't even bother to call them and report the condition that the repair guy left the window in. I figured I could just live with opening the window from the top panel. I guess I can't live with it anymore so I decided to write this review. If it weren't for the fact that I had to pay to get the broken window fixed and the fact that the repair was not done to my satisfaction I would have given this company 5 stars.

    Brock Windows

    Just moved into my rental unit and had Stefan and Ricky install both my front door and back door. It was an all day job. They were both enthusiastic throughout the process. Always willing to answer any questions that I had. Very professional. Efficient. I would highly recommend both Stefan and Ricky/Homestars company to anyone. I am highly pleased.     Disappointed with order on new window purchase.

    In purchasing 2 sliding glass doors, 1 steel exterior door, 4 windows and a storm door, the initial sales experience was very pleasant. Sadly the experience went downhill from there. In the course of this order, I made the mistake of not thoroughly reviewing the sales agents work as I supplied information for the specs of what I needed. Two weeks in noticed the mistake. It was changed through the office delaying parts of the order. This was no big issue really, except that the wrong door was switched in the re-order process. This as well was partly my mistake, I didn't review the order thoroughly enough. As I had signed off on it and accepted this, I would not be writing this report if it were not for the next events. The steel door was significantly later than we were originally told in the order and when unpacking it noticed it was damaged by dents on inside panel. Since we need this door to close in for winter, and the install property is 300 km away from Brock warehouse, I kept the door. Further to this, the storm door was not as ordered. I ordered an inswing and received an outswing. Brock acknowledged the mistake and took the door back informing me it will be 8-10 weeks for a replacement with no options for a discount or refund of any kind due to my inconvenience. The position on it was they had taken a loss on the door and I was not entitled to any compensation due to their mistake. So in the end, the order was riddled with mistakes from the beginning, from not spending the time to ensure the correct order is placed, to damaged goods, to not offering a customer any kind of compensation when they admitted to their own mistake. Many of the mistakes I would have accepted on their own as I too was not reviewing the documents thoroughly. Be mindful if you order from this company to thoroughly review and ensure it is exactly as you order, and in addition if they make a mistake, it may not result in any compensation and you may be stuck waiting months for replacement items, again with no compensation. To put the final icing on this cake, they offered me the storm door which I cannot use at a 50% discount to further reduce THEIR loss. I will not recommend this company and we've moved our next projects house window purchases to another company as a result.

    Whole house window replacemsnts

    I am very fully satisfied with the work done by Brock windows and Doors. It is hard to choose a good company as everybody makes good promises before the job but Brock not only provided beautiful windows and professional installation but also prompt service as there were few windows that needed adjustments. Anwar Rehman was my sales person and is expert and gave me good service. Amry and his team provided a perfect installation. I would recommend Brock without any hesitation.

    Cheap product, Lousy Installation, pathetic service Department.

    Last fall I hired Brock windows to replace the 60yr old windows in my home. Salesman said they had licensed carpenters on staff to upgrade header for a 6' × 12' bow window. Because of the structure change I got a permit for the new header in the wall.. It was late fall when the windows were ready for install. When they first showed up to do the 5 other windows first I saw the flimsy construction of the windows. Vinyl casing with 12mm MDF plywood skirts to make up the extra depth needed for windows. When they installed them the didn't use any shims just screws which distorted the MDF when pulling windows square in opening. 3 of the windows casings separated few months later and they said it was manufacturers defect and still haven't come back to replace the mindows. When I close the bottom windows to latch them the top one drops and you need 2 hands to latch windows shut. One to push upper window up the other to pull lower down and they latch. Pathetic.. Next day they came back with the Bow window and materials to reframe opening with 14" LVL header. Instead of reframing inside face to original framing they put one end ½" proud inside and ¼" inset on the other end. They removed window sill and some rows of brick enlarging the opening and didn't reinstall window sill after.. Then they installed the bow window ¾in on one side and flush on the other and had to shim the oak casing of the bow window from the window casing to correct bow in casement window on one side because it was to far out past frame for the shims to affect window. They refuse to come back and replace bow window they butchered and put the header and framing back to flush inside like it was when they started.. I am In the process of filing in small Claims court now to have all windows removed and bow window framing corrected by true licensed carpenters..

    Replacement of 6 Windows

    Very pleased to have had Brock Windows & Doors replace some windows in my home. The process was easy and I was kept informed. The staff who installed my windows were on time, polite and kept the area clean as if nothing was happening. We are so happy with our windows. Highly recommend!
