Review from HomeOwner Review left on 16 Oct 2012Rating: 5 out of 5Brocks was refered by a friend who also comment on this column, we were lazy guys and know little about the business so we signed with brocks in one interview (never interview with any other companies). It started(first meeting with sales) at late August and finished yesterday, the reason we wanted to pay an extra $1000 or so (compare with some small companies) is we don't want to end by a lot of problems, to this point, their services worth the money. There always be problems especially in terms of what is include in the contract what is not, we worked out this (not very smooth, but finally worked out), so my suggestion for everyone is do your own homework before contact any sales. My high rating come from: northstar windows and doors, the design is so good we love them; installer Amry, he did a wonderful job even there had some conflict between us and the contract. One more thing, if you have an old house and can afford a few more grands, better go brick-to-brick for all your windows replacement, it will make your whole house a 'woo-waa'.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

We had about one half of the windowns on our house replaced by Brock in 2009 and the second half replaced in 2012. We are very satisfied with the work done by Brock for both projects. The replacements were done without any problems and the staff were very attentive to our needs. For both projects triple pane North Start widowns were installed and although the project was done in two pahses separated by three years, Brock was able to select widowns that match very well. We highly recommed Brock.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner
Review left on 25 Sep 2012Rating: 2 out of 510 1st floor windows replaced with triple glaze
While I am pleased with the product ( Northstar) and the installation I am not happy with the followup service. I had requested that these windows be triple glaze NO low E for esthetic reasons ( hazing under bright sun). They were installed and I noticed they were all Low E, one was a double glaze and one window glass additionally had defects. Brock did offer to replace all window glass. We settled on the major sun affected windows and Brock offered to replace two previously updated ( 2 year old) Northstar windows where I learned of the hazing affect. Unfortunately after a great deal of waitiing for the new glass( many weeks), being informed when the glass would be in and then myself informing Brock when I would be available so installation would be done we were thrown into the general service scheduling and my dates ignored. Brock tells me I was "considered for special service" but obviously not. Now I need to further accommodate Brocks "scheduling". I am very disappointed with this part of the service.Answer from pro:
Dear Lance. We tried very hard to please you and I am disappointed to hear we were not able to make you feel “special”. The Low E with the hazing that you are referring to is the old Low E and the hazing was only visible under certain conditions. This has since been much improved and the new Low E no longer shows any hazing. We really tried to go above and beyond with your situation including personally visiting your house and coming up with a win – win solution to resolve the root of your problem. North Star replaced the defective glass quickly. The window which was double glazed was made in this fashion due to the manufacturers size limitations. This has since been manually overridden to supply triple glass. In booking your service we gave you first choice of our available dates and presented a number of options in an effort to accommodate your schedule. All of our customers are important to us and we treat all of them with the same respect and priority. It wouldn’t be fair to bump or delay some customers to prioritize in favour of another. We are sorry we weren't able to fully satisfy your needs, but look forward to any future opportunities.

We replaced all the windows and a patio door in our home and chose Brock to do the work after receiving a number of quotes. Sales rep. Mark was very knowledgeable and helpful and his suggestions made the process easy. Installer Amry was very professional and courteous and he did a wonderful job! Northstar windows are top of the line and look fantastic! Its like we have a brand new house! Work was completed in 2 days as quoted and everything was left clean and tidy. We would recommend Brock to anyone who wants quality, great looking windows!Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Out home's windows were well over 25yrs old and time to replace. Brock's installer Amery and his team were amazing! Clean, courteous, well organized and extremely professional. They entered my home at 0900am and were rapped up by 500. My home looked as it did prior to the construction but with beautiful windows and fresh trim. So happy! Already the compliments are pouring in! Thank you Brock!Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

I was initially pleased with Brock. Their salesperson was courteous and not pushy. However, he has never followed up with us, we have always had to follow up with him. The installation went smoothly except for the fact that our basement windows had not been ordered. We were told our windows would take a week to arrive. It has now been over 5 weeks and the job is still incomplete!!! We had to follow up with our salesman, call the company 2 weeks after to schedule our installation only to be told the windows had "just come in". After scheduling the job for the following week, they then cancelled the morning of. I was told that I would be contacted the next day to reschedule - that was 1 1/2 weeks ago!! I am mostly upset because we financed this purchase through Brock and had my husband not signed the paperwork 5 weeks ago - as he had every right to - our job would have been promptly finished instead of dragging on.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Review left on 15 Sep 2012Rating: 5 out of 5Storm Door Installation
Everyone I dealt with from the sales rep, installer to the receptionist was courteous, professional and knowlegeable. The sales rep wasn't pushy and let me come to my own decision weeks later. The installer worked efficiently, provided a brief tutorial on the storm door after it was installed. Every time I phoned the company, the receptionist was friendly and very helpful. The only reason I rated them a 9 intsead of a 10 was the installer could have made a better effort to clean up after he installed the storm door (he left remnants of the old storm door on the porch: wood and paint chips, stickers from the new storm door, a couple of screws). Otherwise, the installer did a fantastic job. The storm door looks great and I am very happy with it.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Another project with satisfactory results. Very thorough, no mess left, and I would not hesitate to recommend their service or product to anyone. I have received comments from everyone on what an improvement it has made to the front of my house.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Brock's representative Sharifa called me to follow up on the window issue I had on NorthStar windows they installed. She even sent out the manufacturer to look at the issues to get it fixed, at no cost to me. I call this a good service. Hope they will keep up this level of service for all customers. The windows are solid built.
