Removing three areas where birds have decided to nest/store food

Gates was super great to deal with - to booking the appointment to coming twice to the property to deal with my bird issue! They went above and beyond to make me happy and cover three areas three stories up on my Victorian to deal with the birds. I highly recommend Gates - Josh was fabulous to deal with!

    Answer from pro:

Hi Ellen, it makes me extremely happy to hear "Gates was super to deal with". In our staff meetings we often talk about treating the customer the way we, ourselves would want to be treated. Your review is testimony to this. Thank you. Brad Gates, B.Sc. Owner / President -Awarded HomeStars Best Of 2015 & 2016

    Racoon removal from attic

Peter did a great job helping us safely evict a racoon from our attic. He installed a one-way trap/exit door, monitored the situation every two days (until the racoon left) and then installed safe guards to keep the racoon(s) from getting back in. All this with a 1-year guarantee! Thank you Peter.

    Answer from pro:

Hi, thank you for highlighting the fact that we monitor our work. It is extremely important to us that we follow up on how the job is progressing to ensure the animals are safe and that the problem is solved. Unfortunately this is not the industry standard. I also like the fact that you mentioned our 1-year guarantee. Brad Gates, B.Sc. Owner / President -Awarded HomeStars Best Of 2015 & 2016

    Removal of squirrel and raccoons

I woke early one morning to the sound of scratching and skittering in the ceiling above my bed. I spent the next two days in denial, thinking that whatever it was would decide to leave on it's own accord. On Day 3, I realized that it was definitely making itself comfortable in my attic and that I needed some help. I called AAA Gates and had a very helpful person carefully explain the process and next steps. She sent Nick out to deal with the problem and he was great. Friendly and knowledgeable, Nick examined my roof and found that I had a squirrel in my attic but also a raccoon in my chimney (which he took a picture of to show me). He installed one-way gates and did a quick fix on my eavestrough while up there. He followed up by examining the roof twice over the next two days to ensure that they were not back and that there were no babies trapped inside. He kept me well informed of how the job was going, Nick was great. I would highly recommend AAA Gates.

Hi Michele Mondoux, you are definitely not alone in wanting to believe that the animal noises you were hearing were not inside the home. Many of our customers live with their wildlife problem for weeks and sometimes months thinking that the critters are on the outside or that they will move out on their own. Unfortunately the longer the animals are allowed to stay the more damage they can cause in the attic. Thank you for your detailed review and for complimenting Nick on a job well done. Squirrel problem

About 5 years ago we had AAA Gates come and seal up an entry area under our eaves that was being used by squirrels to enter our ceiling. When we recently had our roof replaced, the workers inadvertently created a hole in the screening. Once again we could hear the squirrels moving around in our ceiling. We called AAA Gates again, and they came promptly to assess the situation. Nick even arrived early and waited patiently until I got home. He re-screened the area and installed a one-way door in case there were any squirrels and/or babies in there. He returned the next day and determined there was no activity inside and removed the one-way door. At all times it was clear that the animals' health and safety was a priority, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend this company.

Hi janisbirrel, it is actually pretty common for our previous customers to have animal problems after installing a new roof. When roofers strip the old shingles off the roof they often take our animal proof screening off as well. It usually doesn't take long for the critters to find the opening and move back in. Thank you for your review and for mentioning that "the animals' health and safety was a priority", as you saw it is a major part of who we are. Brad Gates, B.Sc. Raccoons in the chimney

The raccoons have been hanging around for about 12 months until they decided to move in with us. We called in Gates Wildlife and Josh came to our rescue. He showed us how to protect ourselves from further raccoon squatters and is working with us to remove the ones we have down in the bottom of our chimney. Josh is so easy to work with. He is good natured, very knowledgeable, and completely professional. I couldn't ask for a better Wildlife Control partner. Thanks Josh and thanks AAA Gates Wildlife Control.

Remove a raccoon from behind wall in bedroom

Josh was terrific! He came and checked for noises behind the wall, we couldn't hear anything but were afraid we had a mother raccoon and babies. He installed a swinging door on the hole in the eavestrough, allowing the animal to leave but not return. We waited for three days to make sure there were no sounds. Josh returned and declared it empty and did a great job sealing everything up. Very professional, friendly and efficient. Would definitely use Gates again.

Hi Nick, thank you for describing how your job unfolded and for taking the time to write a review. This is certainly the time of year to be concerned about the possibility of having a mother and babies in the house. If they are present, we need to take every precaution to ensure we keep the family unit together. Brad Gates, B.Sc. Owner / President - Awarded HomeStars Best of 2015 & 2016!

    Racoon removal

On April 1, 2016 Justin from Gates Wildlife Control successfully removed a mother raccoon and her 4 offspring from my attic and sealed the hole of entry which had caused a leak in my bathroom. Justin was amazingly efficient and knowledgeable giving me peace of mind that I had called the right Company. I am grateful for Justin's hard work and follow up the next day that ensured me I was in good hands. Many Thanks Justin sorry for the tardy response.

    Remove raccoons from the roof

We called Gates on Friday and Brad was at our place at 11 am on Monday morning. He assessed the situation and resolved our raccoon problem. Brad is great and we felt very comfortable knowing that the work would be done efficiently. Great Company, this is the second time we have had them help us out. Hopefully with all the screening, we should be rid of our raccoon problem once and for all and get back to a good nights sleep.

    raccoon removal

We had a mother raccoon and three babies in our attic. I called AAA Gates Wildlife Control and they were at my home the next day. Nick quickly assessed the situation and very quickly and efficiently removed the babies and placed them in a warm box so that the mother could retrieve them. The next day Nick returned and we were all delighted to learn that the mother had retrieved the babies and moved out! Nick was great - his knowledge and expertise was evident as was his care in treating the babies and mother. Thanks for an excellent job!

    Answer from pro:

Hi Joanne, thank you for describing how Nick removed the babies and placed them in a warm box so the mother could retrieve them. Not all companies are careful to ensure the babies are kept warm during the cold night air. I also appreciate your comments about Nicks' expertise and the care he took with the mother and her babies. Racoon Babies in Attic

We had racoon babies in our attic. Called AAA Gates on Easter Sunday and made an appointment. Next 2 days, they found and removed 4 babies. On their recommendation, had protective screening installed on 6 vents. Service was fast, efficient, friendly and much appreciated. Many thanks to Peter & Boris for a job well done.
