    Chimney Sweep

    Last year we had booked A1, but ended up hiring someone else to sweep our chimney. Unfortunate mistake. This year, we called up Kelly and booked an appointment. Kelly was able to accommodate us in about a week. The chimney sweep, Shawn, arrived on time. Shawn took the time to explain some aspects of our 100yr old chimney. He was professional and made sure to protect our floors. He was very thorough and respectful. A1 was reasonably priced, on time, and thorough. They will be sweeping our chimney annually from now on! Thanks!

    Clean chimney,install filter,brick tucking on chimney

    Good response time and accurate time allocation.Good follow up,workmanship and expertise.Did not get other quotes but did research of customer reviews and Better Business Bureau.Will be using their services for cleaning every 2-3 years.

    Chimney Repair

    Owen went out of his way to get the right flue that we needed and repaired our flue quickly and with great care. We were very impressed with the company and would definitely recommend them. Very professional and helpful.

    Cleaning

    We had guys from A1 come out last weekend to do our chimney cleaning before the winter time. They were on schedule right away. Brought all the necessary tools with them and were in and out in under 3 hours. Also they showed us how much built up they had cleaned out, which was amazing. Thank you A1

    Chimney Rebuild

    A1 Chimney were wonderful. I was in Toronto only for a short time helping with my sister's estate and found the chimney of her house was about to fall down! In short order, A1 Chimney gave us an estimate, arranged for the electrical conduit to be shut off (a MAJOR hassle), completed the work in a timely and expert manner (during a searing heat wave), helped get the electricity restored (another MAJOR hassle) and stayed in contact with me the whole time providing helpful updates and progress reports. Bob and Kelly made the whole ordeal tolerable. I happily recommend this company!

    Fireplace clean and inspection

    We were really impressed with Sean who cleaned and inspected our fireplace. His excellent personality and caring were really appreciated. He was very neat, organized and knowledgeable. They were fairly priced and we would definitely recommend. Nice to deal with a company that has your genuine best interest at heart. Thanks so much Sean.

    Chimney Liner Replacement and Capping

    I am so happy that a friend referred me to A1 Quality Chimney Cleaning & Repair. Our liner had disintegrated and masonry had fallen through. It was a difficult and frustrating job. First the raccoon who'd settled in, was coaxed to vacate. Then there was the arduous job of removing and replacing the liner, which was stuck, and sealing and capping the chimney. Owen and Rick were fabulous! They worked cheerfully and did a perfect job.

    chimney cleaning; new damper

    Based on the positive reviews on HomeStars, I contacted A1 to book a fireplace and chimney cleaning but also to ask about possible repair to or replacement of the damper which had not been working for several years, Owen quoted a very reasonable price for the cleaning and explained that the technician would try to fix the damper while he was here and there would be no additional charge for this. If it could not be fixed, the technician would provide me with information and quotes for a new damper. The cleaning was booked and the technician, Rick, arrived on time. He cleaned the firebox and chimney thoroughly, cleaned up all dust and spent considerable time trying to fix the damper without success. When I asked about a new damper, he explained a couple of different kinds and recommended one of them (the less expensive). Since I was going to be out of town for awhile, he said that he would arrange for the office to call me when I returned, which they did. Owen explained again about the damper and confirmed the quote. Rick was able to complete the installation that same day. Again, he was extremely careful about covering the floor and vacuuming up all dust. The installation went quickly and he explained how the damper worked and made sure I knew how to operate it before he left. I will definitely call A1 for future cleaning and any other chimney or fireplace work I might require.

    Chimney Cleaning

    Called A1 Quality Chimney after finding them on Homestars.com. Spoke to Kelly and setup a time 9-10 am, technician showed up at 915 did a clean job of sweeping the chimney with brush. Very happy with the service and the cost was nominal for the peace of mind.

    Chimney Cleaning & Inspection

    I needed my chimney inspected and cleaned, as it hadn't been used for a good 25 years. The technician arrived during the time agreed upon and was very friendly and professional. The work was completed quickly and thoroughly and the cleanup after was great. I would definitely recommend A-1 Chimney to anyone who asked. Thanks.
