    Chimney Liner Replacement and Capping

    I am so happy that a friend referred me to A1 Quality Chimney Cleaning & Repair. Our liner had disintegrated and masonry had fallen through. It was a difficult and frustrating job. First the raccoon who'd settled in, was coaxed to vacate. Then there was the arduous job of removing and replacing the liner, which was stuck, and sealing and capping the chimney. Owen and Rick were fabulous! They worked cheerfully and did a perfect job.

    chimney cleaning; new damper

    Based on the positive reviews on HomeStars, I contacted A1 to book a fireplace and chimney cleaning but also to ask about possible repair to or replacement of the damper which had not been working for several years, Owen quoted a very reasonable price for the cleaning and explained that the technician would try to fix the damper while he was here and there would be no additional charge for this. If it could not be fixed, the technician would provide me with information and quotes for a new damper. The cleaning was booked and the technician, Rick, arrived on time. He cleaned the firebox and chimney thoroughly, cleaned up all dust and spent considerable time trying to fix the damper without success. When I asked about a new damper, he explained a couple of different kinds and recommended one of them (the less expensive). Since I was going to be out of town for awhile, he said that he would arrange for the office to call me when I returned, which they did. Owen explained again about the damper and confirmed the quote. Rick was able to complete the installation that same day. Again, he was extremely careful about covering the floor and vacuuming up all dust. The installation went quickly and he explained how the damper worked and made sure I knew how to operate it before he left. I will definitely call A1 for future cleaning and any other chimney or fireplace work I might require.

    Chimney Cleaning

    Called A1 Quality Chimney after finding them on Homestars.com. Spoke to Kelly and setup a time 9-10 am, technician showed up at 915 did a clean job of sweeping the chimney with brush. Very happy with the service and the cost was nominal for the peace of mind.

    Chimney Cleaning & Inspection

    I needed my chimney inspected and cleaned, as it hadn't been used for a good 25 years. The technician arrived during the time agreed upon and was very friendly and professional. The work was completed quickly and thoroughly and the cleanup after was great. I would definitely recommend A-1 Chimney to anyone who asked. Thanks.

    Chimney Repair

    I wanted to use the fireplace in our century home but wanted to make sure it was safe first. I called ANOTHER chimney company who scared the hell out of me and told me I needed $10,000 worth of repairs. I was very discouraged and decided to get a second opinion. I spoke to A1 and they put me at ease right away. Bob told me my chimney was probably fine, and sent his inspector/cleaner out. He cleaned the chimney and patched up the mortar in the firebox. Total bill was less than $200. (The other company told me I needed to completely REBUILD my firebox at a cost of $2,000!) I was very pleased with the practical advice and service.

    What a team!!! From the first phone call, A1 has proven themselves to be the best. With urgency required to correct a possible hazardous situation as a result of damage done by another chimney company, Owen and Kelly got Shawn in quickly to remove a chimney liner that was ripped and blocking the chimney shaft and thereby remove any possibility of a health hazard happening Shawn is such a hard worker and clean worker with a great knowledge of his work and a great personality to match. It was a pleasure to meet someone like this. Thanks Shawn Owen who I first spoke to and Rick then came in and completed installing the liner with equal superior service in a wonderfully personable way. I don't usually take the time to write reviews but felt compelled to do this in appreciation of the work done by this great team we met. Thanks guys Sam

    Thanks for taking the time to write your review, Sam! I'm REALLY glad you called when you did, as it could have been much worse. These types of chimney blockages sometimes happen. I definitely recommend that you get some carbon monoxide detectors set up in the house. CO can really creep up on you and with detectors, you can catch these dangers much sooner.

    Chimney Cleaning and Inspection

    I called and they answered. We agreed upon a day and time. On the day they called before and arrived on time. Professional workmanship, a good attitude, and a perfect clean up. Priced as promised.

    Chimney cleaning & damper repair

    My experience with A1 Quality Chimney Cleaning and Repair was a very positive one from start to finish. First I arranged for a chimney inspection and cleaning. They were very accommodating and quick to respond. This was followed up by another visit for a damper replacement. Being on a stringent timeline because of our house closing date, they replaced the damper the next day. Their staff are courteous, professional and very knowledgeable...and do not leave a mess behind when they are done. I will always use A1 Chimney Cleaning & Repair. Thanks guys for a job well done!

    chimney cleaning and repair

    I just recently had some work done on the chimney and the team (Kelly, Owen & Bob) at A1 were fantastic! They were the most reasonably priced and walked me through the entire process on what I could expect. No added costs or trying to upsell me on things that weren't required. I will be a long term client and I suggest to others you give them a try, you will not be dissapointed.

    Removal of nest from Chimney

    After numerous failed attempts with various companies to have chimney to gas fireplace looked at for blockage at top called A-1 today and actually had someone answer! Kelly was very helpful and said he would try to see if one of his crew in the area could stop by today. Sean came this afternoon and removed the bird's nest quickly. Great service! Highly recommend!
