    Asbestos abatement

    We were upset to be informed that we had an area near our furnace with a type of asbestos. David was so reassuring and knowledgeable from the first conversation with him that everything would be no problem at all. Gabriel arrived and he was also very polite, and very knowledgeable about everything. He answered all questions without any hesitation. Everything was shipshape and given clearance very promptly. We are very , very pleased and would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. Gerry

    Asbestos Test

    We just started renovating our old house and when the load bearing wall was removed we discovered some gold looking substance in the attic insulation. We were very concerned and I could not sleep as we thought it was asbestos. The very next morning I opened up Home stars and started searching for a company to have this substance tested. I came across Amosite company. I was hesitant to call on Sunday morning, but as previous reviewer mentioned David always answers his calls. I was so relived as David was very knowledgeable and reassuring on the phone . He asked me to send him pictures of the substance and called me back to say that it was not asbestos. He didn’t push any services on me and answered all my questions. I wanted this substance to be tested to make sure my family and all contractors that were working in the house are safe. David scheduled an appointment and next morning Gabriel showed up on time and was very through and informative. He collected the sample and followed up with me when it was submitted to the lab and then a few hours later he called with the results. I am very happy with the service and great attitude. I absolutely recommend David and his company if you have any environmental issues. Thank you David!

    Asbestos Scare

    I got David on the phone regarding an asbestos scare. We just moved in to an older home and my son was cleaning out our crawl space when he came upon a white substance that we thought could be asbestos . We then became very concerned and were in a bit of a panic. I then went online to search for information and came to Homestars and decided to call Amosite and I’m glad I did. David answered my call right away and he said to send him pictures of the substance so he could identify it which would save me the cost of unnecessary testing. Overall he was very reassuring and knew exactly what he was talking about. Thankfully the substance was not asbestos and our minds are now at ease. David is a man of integrity and good business practices. I would highly recommend that anyone call Amosite first!

    Abestos Recommendation

    David came out for an inspection, was very polite and open about policies and recommendations. Very much on the side of the customer, and left me with valuable information. If you need an inspection and work done, these are the guys to do it.

    Ceiling and Wall Testing

    I had occasion to call on Amosite Industries in 2014 while embarking on a renovation because of the age of my home and wanted to be sure all was good before the crew attacked a wall. It was busy renovation season and David was kind enough to ensure I got my samples taken in a hurry (without any rush charge) and got my lab report rushed to me so I could begin work. Years later when I needed a ceiling tested I called Amosite again and once again David and Gabriel gave me their full attention to get it done without delay. No matter how small the job - I felt I had their complete attention for it and they took due care to explain everything and make sure I was at ease. I am amazed at the customer-centric behaviour and expertise exhibited by everyone I have dealt with in this company!

    Friendly Service

    Friendly and prompt service from Amosite. Went through all the possible areas in my 1940s home that could have potential asbestos and was able to make recommendations on next steps.

    Prompt-Knowledgeable-Personable

    I bought an older home that was built in prime asbestos time! I had numerous people warn me about potential asbestos in the ceiling tiles when I bought the house. I was very nervous about what I could be facing and the potential costs associated with asbestos removal. I put out a request on Homestars and Amosite called me right away- like within 5 minutes!! David explained everything amazingly on the phone and really put my mind at ease- he is very responsive to any calls you have. Gabriel was who came out to the house to conduct the testing. He was such a delight to work with and I would highly recommend him. He explained to me all scenarios- good and bad as he took the samples. I also appreciated his recommendations if the tests did come back positive. In less than 24hrs I received the results- luckily no asbestos. It was well worth the call, it saved me thousands of dollars in the end and peace of mind for my husband and I, as well as our kids.

    Oil tank removal

    We needed our two old oil tanks removed from our basement. After talking to Dave, we received a quote and a date of service. Dave and his guys were on time and very profecional. Both tanks were removed in one hour and they did a full clean-up just before they left. You couldn't ask for better service. I highly recommend their service.

    Amazing People

    We were having trouble with an air quality issue in our house. I found Amosite on HomeStars and decided to try them. The owner Dave answered my call and said that even though it wasn't really within their company's services he would come to the house to try to help. He came to our house to help me troubleshoot and set us up with an air scrubber and helped me contact a chemical removal company for additional expertise. Dave and everyone at Amosite were complete professionals who only wanted to help us out. At no point was his help about money, he just wanted to do whatever was right for us. Unbelievably amazing people. Other companies would have charged us thousands for the work he did and for the equipment rental. I can't say enough about what a wonderful person Dave is, and how ethical and professional his company is. Thank you so much to Dave and the people at Amosite for helping us out.

    Asbestos

    I spoke with David regarding asbestos removal in my home. I sent him pictures of the renovations and he was able to advise me. David is very honest, knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend David to my friends. Thanks David for your honesty. Carol
