We contracted Ashton Renovations to completely redo our ensuite bathroom. This was the second time that Mark and his team did renovation work for us. Once again Ashton Renovations carried out exceptional work. They were on time, cost conscious and very professional. Working with Mark and the end product once again exceeded our expections!

We bought our first home just over a year ago and never did we think we would buy one that required such extensive renovations, but we did and we found ourselves looking for a contractor when I came across Mark's website. After our first meeting, we knew he was the contractor for us. He was very professional and asked questions we had never even considered. The scope of our project started out rather small but grew extensively once we began tearing down walls (we all know what these old houses can be like!). Mark, Ron & Rob were always willing to go the extra mile and consistently offered up alternatives to save on time and budget. In the end, we are in a home that we love and will continue to call Mark and his crew back to complete other projects for us in the future.

We hired Ashton Renovations to undertake a complete renovate to the kitchen in our 90 year old home. This work involved removing the entire existing kitchen and rebuilding a new kitchen from the floor up. Extensive work was undertaken including removal of a structural wall, re-routing of plumbing, electrical and duct work, removal of asbestos and installation of new cabinets, flooring, lighting and built-in appliances. We were extremely impressed with Mark Ashton. Mark is a thoughtful and kind person and an expert communicator. He provided us with a detailed quote for labour and supplies and focused our attention on the key issues involved in the renovation. He was able to reassure us about the project were undertaking immediately. Mark was transparent with us about the potential issues we would encounter in undertaking an extensive renovation of a kitchen in an older home. And he was reassuring throughout the project; Mark and his team were proactive and presented mitigation strategies for our consideration whenever we encountered issues. Mark brought with him expert sub-contractors and a professional and courteous team. You could tell that everyone associated with his company did their job well and was willing to go the extra mile to deliver an excellent product. His team kept our home clean and liveable despite the extensive nature of the project. Mark delivered an exceptional kitchen and stayed on budget. He made many suggestions about products we were considering from flooring to cabinets to new doors. Many of his suggestions focused on how we could make our home more environmentally friendly. Towards the end of our project Mark went beyond the call of duty and coordinated all aspects of our work with our cabinet and counter top installers. We are more than pleased with the results – we have a charming open concept kitchen that has completed our home - and are already planning a new project with Ashton Renovations. We strongly recommend Ashton Renovations to other homeowners considering new kitchens.

Ashton Renovations did a complete renovation of our house. This was our first home renovation and we found Ashton renovations through the internet. Naturally, we were very nervous in committing such a large project to a total stranger but Mark's professional experience and genuine character was evident. Thankfully, Mark Ashton has not only performed excellent work but he also gave us a genuinely happy experience. Mark's expertise was much appreciated in making our environmentally friendly linoleum flooring with a drycore subfloor for our low height basement. We are very happy with the look, warmth and how easy it is to clean. Ashton Reno did an excellent job of installing the custom kitchen sink where we had trouble with two other contractors. We are also very happy with Mark's suggestion of creating an open window to the hall which brings in alot of natural light. We relied on Mark extensively in the design our home and also in choosing the right materials. Ashton Renovations did a great job in the renovation from start to finish.

Mark Ashton and his experienced crew are professional home renovators who genuinely care about producing high-quality work for their clients. They were very responsive to my needs and had demonstrated excellent workmanship during my basement renovation which involved the demolition and rebuilding of a bathroom, the ceiling and the sub-floor. I am impressed with their trade knowledge, renovation skills and attention to details. I would recommend Ashton Renovations to anyone who is looking for highly competent and dependable contractor to undertake home renovation project.

Mark Ashton and his crew came to install a stair railing we had ordered from Montreal. It was an incredibly complex piece and took three days to install. We were impressed with Mark's and his crew's ability to figure out what was clearly a very difficult piece of installation with very sketchy instructions. During the installation, we were amazed at the crew's quiet work - we almost forgot they were there, and at their clean and tidy workspace. They were prepared to remove everything at the end of each day, but we insisted they feel free to leave things. Each night they left a neat and tidy row of all their tools and equipment. Our son was starting a career in carpentry and they were helpful talking to him about what they were doing. The finished railing is just astounding. One picture shows the completed railing. The other shows the bend in the railing necessitated by the way the railing has to shift to accommodate the ceiling. This part Mark and the crew had to completely create on their own; there were no instructions!

Superb attention to detail and fine quality work during our kitchen renovation in our 50+ year home has made us very happy. Attention to enviromentally friendly alternatives was especially helpful. Ashton Renovations is very co-operative and informative offering suggestions for the many challenges encountered in our renovation. We highly recommend their work.

Ashton Renovations has completed two projects for us. The first was a portico replacement. The fine quality carpentry and attention to detail convinced us to have Ashton Renovations back to gut and completely replace a main bathroom in our 60 year old home. All work was completed with expert design and material recommendations. The work entailed complete removal of fixtures and walls and flooring, the installation of a whirlpool tub with elaborate shower and tap fittings along with custom made cabinetry and custom radiant heated ceramic flooring. Work was completed within a set time and the project space and surrounding areas were carefully prepared and protected agains wear and damage. We recommend Ashton Renovations for high quality results.
