    Hardwood Floor purchase

Was recommended to Brampton Hardwood by a contractor my wife and I were working with. We had recently moved into a new home, and required flooring to match the already-finished kitchen. Wendy took the time to show us to the engineered hardwood section of the store, and explained which products were on sale. When we finally settled on a beautiful Brazilian Cherry plank that was on clearance because there were only a few boxes left, Wendy offered to see if she could get us a better price. The owner was very friendly, and reduced the price a little for us. We were told later by our contractor that we got an excellent price for the quality of wood plank we received. Overall, we're very pleased with out purchase and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brampton Hardwood.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you Jason for kind words, it was a pleasure working with you and we are pleased that you were satisfied enough with our service and products that you would recommend us to others.

    Kitchen floor

On November 8th, 2016, I made a purchased at the Scarborough location 10 boxes of Walnut Natural wood 23 Sq ft / box i.e. 230 Sq ft, paid $2,024.64. (7.79 per Sq ft). Measurement of my kitchen is 11.5 ft X 18.5 ft or less, therefore, i need total 213 Sq ft of wood. I picked up 10 boxes of wood at 59 Bramalea Rd on November 9th 2016. I noticed when I picked up the wood that wood were shifting in the boxes, I mentioned this to the shipper and he said that is the way it came from the manufacture. The wood was installed on Saturday November 12th, 2016. The 10 boxes were not sufficient to complete the job, about 15 SQ ft were short. I should have had 15 Sq ft over based on me purchasing extra wood, looks like about 30 Sq ft of wood short in the 10 boxes. On Sunday November 13th I went to 59 Bramalea Rd and spoke with the manager in charge (Raj) about my situation. He said that he will look into it and after half an hour he came back and said they were shortage in each box amount to 10 Sq ft. ( at this time I felt disappointed but thought to myself that I will take the wood he is giving me hoping this will complete my kitchen floor). On Tuesday November 15th, my installer still could not finished the floor because about 5 Sq ft of wood short. On Wednesday November 16th, I travelled all the way to Brampton again from Scarborough explaining my situation to the associate at the desk and I was told that I have to buy a whole box of wood. I said to the lady that I would like to only buy a few pieces that are missing and they refused to sell me a few missing pieces. They advise me to speak with the operational manager Joe. I explained my situation to Joe and he told me that he will visit my house on Thursday November 17th to measure my kitchen floor. I waited all day Thursday and Joe did not show up. I called several times and Joe would not return my call. My wife send Joe a text November 21st, and no response from Joe. Unfortunately I had to buy a box of wood from another company (The Hardwood Flooring Store LTD) on November 19th just to get a few pieces of wood. The wood that I purchased is not quite the same but I will have to make it work. THIS COMPANY STILL OWE ME OVER 15 SQ FT OF WALNUT NATURAL WOOD PLUS TWO UNNECESSARY TRIPS TO BRAMPTON AND WAITING A WHOLE DAY FOR JOE TO COME TO MY HOUSE TO MEASURE MY KITCHEN FLOOR AS JOE HAD SAID HE WOULD. I cannot believe a large corporation will do this to me.

    Answer from pro:

We apologize Rafiq, but we honestly believed that this matter had been fully resolved. When you first brought the shortage to our attention we immediately provided the amount you indicated was missing - no questions asked. However, apparently this was still not enough extra flooring to finish your job. Perhaps with the extra cutting that kitchen floor projects often require there was some extra waste by your installer, resulting in a shortage? In any event, we will certainly send over a professional hardwood flooring installer to measure your floor ASAP and try to address any further quantity concerns. Kindly give us a call at your convenience and let us know your availability.

    Service

I Live in Brampton but I was referred by my boyfriend to go to the Toronto location because the manger there will provide you the best service. |'m writing this review to let you know I received the best service anyone can receive. When I was here to pick up my order I witness a situation that Lina had to take care for a customer receiving the wrong product. Let me tell you Mr. Owner, you are soooo lucky to have her as your employee. She handled the situation very professional and controlled the situation right a way. I happy to say that I can count on Lina no matter what the situation is. Lina deserve recognition as she probably doesn't get it because she is women.

    Answer from pro:

A very warm thank you for this review. You have gone as far out of your way to reference Brampton Hardwood Floors positively as we did to give you a professional quality service. Enjoy the floor and we await hearing from you for the next level of the home.

    Worst Hardwood!

We dealt with Lena at the Jane St. location. We went in with our 1 year old and asked for the hardest wood because we have a baby. She advised that the St. Lawrence graphite wood that we liked was extremely hard and it takes quite a lot to scratch - very important with a one year old. We are two days into living in our new home with our new floor and I have lost count of the dents, chips and scratches. I watched my son roll his small toy car with plastic wheels across the floor, leaving a nice long scratch. Easy as that. Our floor already looks awful. Our installer told us he would never have recommended this wood, advising he gets nothing but complaints from people who use it. Wish we had known!!! What a waste of thousands of dollars. What can we possibly do about it now???

    Answer from pro:

Hi Cindy. Lina remembers you, your husband and your adorable son quite well. She recalls your concerns about scratches and recommended some Brazilian products due to their innate hardness. However, you had wanted a darker hue and selected the graphite colored oak floor from St. Lawrence. While not as "hard" as the Brazilian woods, oak flooring is still quite scratch resistant, especially with the many layers of oxide finish that St. Lawrence applies. However, like anything else, ongoing care and maintenance is important. The St. Lawrence oak hardwood is a high quality product and we have never had any complaints or issues with it. In fact, we directly asked the installer about his comments and he does not recall ever saying anything like that. Regardless, we hope you will have many years of enjoyment with your quality new oak flooring.

    Medium Grade Hardwood

We Just wanted to share that we had a very positive experience working with Raj at the 59 Bramalea Store to select our Oak Hardwood. He was very patient to explain the pro's and con's of different species of wood, different brands and product lines. He helped answer all of our questions as we are very new to purchasing hardwood. We found that the price point was below our budget and the quality of the wood seems great. Just had it installed Mid September 2016.. so far so good, love the look and quality.. Brought one box back and kept half a box. Raj treated us very well there.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Karl. A big hello and thank you from Raj and all of us here at Brampton Hardwood Floors. We always try to provide as much time and info to our customers as possible, which is not always easy when you service about 30,000 clients a year. Enjoy your beautiful new oak floor. Please do not hesitate to come back and see us with any further hardwood flooring needs.

    Very good place for flooring

I have purchased several times from this store. They have a good variety of flooring, great prices and efficient and friendly service. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing qualify flooring.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Petra, we are sorry that you were not happy with the payment method limitations taht we are required to follow. Unfortunately, we do not have a choice due to the relatively recent advent of PIN credit and debit cards. It is the policy of our payment service provider that all purchases made via credit card must be either PIN code verified or signed. This is a rigid requirement that we are unable to deviate from. Thus, while customers call call in to provide a credit card deposit over the phone, they must physically attend with their card to pay the balance so that they can either enter their PIN code or sign the credit card receipt/slip. We hope that you are happy with your new floor in any event.

    Hardwood Floors

We Just wanted to share that we had a very positive experience working with Vandana at the 59 Bramalea Store to select our Canadian Ash Floor. She was very patient to explain the pro's and con's of different species of wood, different brands and product lines. She helped answer all of our questions as we are very new to purchasing hardwood. Her professionalism was unmatched with all the other stores we had visited and gained our trust as she was very upfront about the products and helped us select a floor the not only fit our budget but we got a floor at a fraction of the cost of most other retailers we went to.

    Answer from pro:

    FLOORING MATERIAL

I bout flooring material from Brampton Hardwood Flooring. They are very co operative when you buy stuff from the shop but if you need to exchange or Return they are really not cooperative and are too rude. I will never recommend to any of friend or client But I will definitely share my story with everyone. I have decided not deal with them in future at all.

    Brampton Hardwood

Never Buy From Brampton Hardwood. There installers are terrible start giving trouble from day one and then after sales service is hopeless. Joe their serviceman never picks up phone and never return calls. Their owner Vandana doesn't care about customer rather says that do whatever you want to do and we don't have time. Similarly their install Greg never picks up phone after payment and tells that we don't have time. Still waiting for repair work even after one year. I won't recommend anyone buy from them.
