    Miele five burner cooktop

    damaged unit opened when new kitchen installed but was told we should have opened and inspected unit sooner. Then realized conversion kit for propane not attached as promised. Was told salesman said we didn't mention we were going to use propane. Right. He remembers that from seven months ago??? We live in the country so OF COURSE we mentioned it. Ethically bankrupt business.

    WASHER AND DRYER SET

    The service and the product was excellent so far no problems with the product. Also, the delivery people was very careful and polite. I will recommend to use this company to my friends or any person that it's looking for appliances

    Kitchen, laundry

    Not having bought appliances in a very long time, was thrilled we had such an informed sales person to work with. Nancy was terrific. The original wall oven we selected was too big for our tiny kitchen and we were able to easily change the order for a smaller size. Excellent delivery, excellent service and excellent, competitive pricing.

    Appliance purchase

    Great customer service when we came in to purchase our 5 major appliances. We knew which brand of appliances we wanted to purchase for our kitchen. Saleperson gave suggestions for appliances for washer and dryer. Saleperson was very helpful in explaining differences and functions and did not force us to buy on the spot.

    new washer and dryer

    We bought a new front-load washer and dryer set from Caplan's and were very pleased with the experience. The salesperson was knowledgeable and pleasant (not at all pushy) and the delivery was on-time and the set-up was competent. The delivery guys got the 27" appliances down a 28" basement stairwell with minimal scuffing. Caplan's then followed up to ask us if we were satisfied with the products and installation. The price was good too.

    Kitchen Appliance Suite

    We ordered the following: Electrolux Double Wall Oven BlueStar Gas Cooktop Viking Built-in Refrigerator Ventahood Exhaust & Cover Sales agent was professional, and easy to deal with. Provided a good price, and several small perks (free delivery, free knife block and set) Exhaust cover was damaged upon receipt at Caplans, so it was delayed several weeks behind the rest of the appliances. Not a big deal. Appliances were unboxed and set in place, packing material was removed. Delivery staff were very professional, efficient and courteous. Major complaint: Viking Fridge was sold as a new customer special order, non-delivery. i.e. someone ordered it, but didn't want it. After receipt of the unit, it is very clearly a unit that has been disassembled to access the internals, for some reason or other. In other words, it is not "new" and there was some prior problem that needed to be fixed. The control console does not seat properly, and the upper shroud assembly is warped. It is not visible when installed, so it's not a huge problem, but it is notable that the product was misrepresented.

    New Dishwasher

    We needed a new dishwasher and I had heard from friends that Caplan's was a great store. Boy we're they right! The people at Caplan's were very patient, helpful and able to answer all of our questions. We are very happy with our purchase and would return in the future. I would recommend them to family & friends.

    Kitchen Aid Kitchen Appliances

    Excellent selection of top rate appliances but when it came time to deliver things got difficult. Terrible customer service after the fact, but the appliances are fantastic. They tried to make things better with a discount but they were were very rude when I tried to tell them I wasn't satisfied with their service.

    purchase of Miele dishwasher

    We purchased the dishwasher, via Caplan's due to their reputation, the sales experience went well. However, when Miele called to confirm delivery for the next morning, we asked about installation, they promptly told us that would be an additional $290 - a fact the sales man failed to tell us. The salesman also "forgot" to tell us that we would have to arrange for and schedule installation separately. The end result is the dishwasher was sitting in our kitchen with no one to install it - the delivery men told us this happens all the time as the salespeople do not understand the Miele system (apparently not just Caplan's), but as a leading retailer, I expected more. I ended up installing myself, as leaving it in the kitchen for an extended period was not an option. When I called Caplan's for an explanation of this misunderstanding, they seemed indifferent, at best.

    washer/dryer

    We had a great in store experience, very knowledgable, helpful and no sales pressure. The only dissapointment came on delivery (we had other appliances delivered weeks prior by their competition for comparison). They were weeks late to start and then we had to call several times. Upon delivery they did not roll out protective carpet and wore their muddy boots trecking in and out of our home without a word. They swore at each other during installation and seemed rushed and left all the garbage from the installation all over the laundry room. I would recomend one of their competitors before them.
