I went to Caplans looking to replace my finicky top loading washer & dryer with more efficient front loading ones. The salesman was pleasant, and showed me a pair out of their scratch & dent area. I got an amazing price on 2 great units, which a couple of years later I am still in love with. My only complaint: when they installed them the delivery people didn't switch the door on the dryer and it swings the wrong way. It tried to get a response from Caplans but didn't get my calls returned. Also, when I tried to buy a dishwasher from them last year I called them to see what they had - stating I was a repeat customer - and they seem quite indifferent to my phone call & gave me no information (even though I told them I live across town and wanted to make sure a trip in would be worth my while) so I ended up buying it elsewhere.

Went there for customer service. Salesman was nice and we purchased a few appliances that day. The delivery happened in a timely fashion but the work was not great. Dishwasher broke and they wouldn't replace it, even though they said they had one in stock. The customer service manager was very rude and unhelpful. She said new appliances would be for new customers only. They said they would order a part and it took weeks and then didn't work. After hassling Caplans for awhile they finally sent a repairman out and he said the appliance had clearly been dropped before it was installed and should never have been installed. After a few more weeks, they finally installed a new dishwasher. Caplans is supposed to be known for their customer service but we've heard that this has become typical of them these days and they aren't any better than most other suppliers and are worse than most of the best. We would recommend not using them.

Caplan's has the WORST customer service I've ever encountered. Bought a Bosch dishwasher that came defective and needed a new control panel. Left several messages that went unanswered. Finally spoke with Liz of "customer service" who contradicted herself a number of times, telling me how "common" broken control panels were since they are electronic. Argued with me when I said a brand new machine should not be delivered with a broken control panel. Offered me NO help whatsoever. Refused to call Bosch on my behalf. Do NOT buy from Caplan's. Also, salesperson didn't return any of my 3 calls.

Fantastic customer service. I walked in and someone helped me right away with everything i needed. The sales associate stayed and answered any and all questions i had and was very friendly. They were so great that they seemed like family. I totally recommend Caplan's.

Caplans definitely has every appliance you could possibly want, however, my experience with their sales service was negative. I met with one of their sales agents who rushed quickly through a quote that was a thousand dollars more for the same appliances at any other store. Each question I asked about a product seemed to irritate him. Most of the questions I asked he had no answer for, or he made me feel that the question was not relevant. Maybe I would have had a more positive experience with another sales person. First impressions...you never really get a second chance.

We had visited many top rated appliance stores in the city and weren't very impressed with the service AT ALL ! As a last resort we tried Caplans and are very happy we did. Their service was amazing, they spent several hours with us determining our needs. They gave us the best deal they could and then held the appliances for 8 months until our move in date. I have and will again, recommend them.

Extremely disappointed with the response re. My new induction cooktop which broke down 8 months after purchase. Would never buy another Jennaire (whirlpool) product . Service department is in Tennessee (who are barely understandable) and never return calls. Caplans are also slow in returning calls and do not stand by the product sold. It has been 2 weeks without a stove and I'm waiting for a solution to my dilemma.

over the past 6 months have tried using Caplan's ... I find it hard to get answers ... staff never answer the phone ... invoices come with wrong amounts and no one understands the supposed "new system"

This is my 5th appliance I bought from Caplans'. As usual the service from the sales team to the installation folks was excellent. Caplan sales team are the most knowledgable I've encountered and their pricing is the best in the city.

What I love about Caplan's is the scratch and dent section. Never found anything in there that was scratched or dented, always good stuff with really good prices. First time I bought there was when a fridge died 3 days before a long weekend. Everyone else, including home depot couldn't deliver before long weekend. Caplan's price was lower then everyone elses and they delivered the next day. Recently bought a Dacor above the range microwave for $199. Retails normally for $699-799.
