Thank you so much Patrick for the kind words and for taking the time to leave me a review! I really appreciate it! Well that Patrick, was certainly an interesting scenario. You and I found blatant evidence of leaks and a ton of Mold within the basement space. To say the least it was very obvious. Then we both get a call the next morning from the listing agent, telling us that his "inspector"has looked at it and is stating that there are no cracks in the foundation, leaks into the basement, and that's not mold that we saw. I just about fell off my chair. The agents "inspector" is an RHI with the Ontario Association of Home Inspectors! That was the most blatant cover up I've ever seen. It was pathetic that he would stoop to that level. I would doubt he will stay in business much longer...the law suits should start to pile up for him soon...Thanks again so much Patrick! I'm sorry about the home not working out. But there was way to much shady stuff going on there ! Thanks for choosing Classic Home Inspections!!!

Fortunately, yours was near perfect. Surprisingly, I do many condo inspections. As I was telling you at the inspection, I've done many high end luxury condo's that have some real big issues. I try to be as detailed as possible. I figure people are spending so much on the home that they should know as much as possible about it. How many times have I heard,"our home was full of knob and tube wire and the inspector didn't pick up on it" ... I just shake my head and sympathize with them thinking to myself, "why didn't he remove a couple of outlets?" At times, you will see things on a new home that I thought I would never see. Leaks? Mold? I wouldn't expect to see it but I do! I've even seen big time structural issues on new homes. The townhome in Oakville that I did a couple of years ago that was "pulling apart" was probably the best example...and the agent told the buyers "don't waste your money on an inspection"! Not a bad idea, many people hire a home inspector before they do renovations to get an idea of what to expect when the contractor comes in (and starts spending your money). Many people don't realize how quickly costs can go up, even by adding or changing simple things.
