    Home Inspection - 30 day Tarion

    We found Brent on Homestars. He fit us in on short notice, as we needed to complete before 30 days on our new home . He showed up when he said he would, and did a very thorough job. Would certainly recommend. Extremely professional and polite.

    Pre-purchase home inspection

    After being quite disappointed by a previous home inspection by Carson Dunlop we opted to call Brent to inspect a rental property we were considering. Not only was he professional, on time, reasonably priced and very knowledgeable, he saved us big bucks! The photos he took were key to our getting $3000 knocked off the purchase price. Thanks Brent! I can tell you that CD didn't take any photos that we could have used to lower the price. And their inspection costed us way more in the long run. This house that we just purchased had had a home inspection performed one week prior by another interested bidder. Brent's inspection found many important issues that the previous inspector didn't. We highly recommend Brent's services. Thanks again Brent!

I think with many industries, sometimes when you hire an independent they take their job a little more serious. I mean, home inspecting is my livelihood. When a person hires a larger company you simply don't know what you’re going to get. However I am glad that you had something to compare me to! Pre-listing inspections are a funny thing as well, sometimes I wonder if they guy who did the inspection even knows what he is doing. So much can be missed on those things. I don't even look at them when I'm on an inspection. I'm glad that I was able to help you with the home and what a bonus to help take a little more off the price of the home.     Home Inspection

    Brent was referred to me by a co-worker and I'm glad we went with him for our first home inspection. He was there on time and we received fantastic service!! He went through everything and answered all my questions. He explained everything thoroughly and made sure we understood it. Will definately recommend Classic home inspections Inc.!! Thanks Brent

    inspection of a new house

    We used Classic Home Inspection service to inspect our future home. Ed did a very thorough inspection and was very professional. He arrives earlier than the agreed on time and took his time to look through the house. He gave us suggestions and his fees were reasonable. We highly recommend his services.

    Brand new home inspection

    When we were looking for a home inespector, we thought of using Mike Holmes' services . However, after seeing the reviews on Home Stars and realizing inspectors were subcontracted, we looked for someone else,hopefully the best in the market. This is how we found Brent. Brent took the time to explain us everything, asked us many times if we had any questions, guided us on how to go back to the builder and how to ask them to replace things that need to be fixed and told us to contact him if we had more questions in the future. Although it was a new house, Brent found mold in the basement's insulation, which could have cost us thousands. He was very polite,good sense of humor , extremely knowledgeable and tech savy (he shared our pics on a cloud system so that we could download them) Thank you brent for all your help! You know it's funny, I have no interest in bashing any of my competition (even though the person you mention does), however from time to time I run into people who have used the big guys home inspection company, they all say that they would not use the company again. They found it very overrated, overpriced, and that the inspectors do no more than anyone else. People are paying up to $1100 to use the services of the company. Wow...that's a lot of money for a home inspection! One person told me that the inspector that they had from the company is a full time firefighter, part time home inspector. I'm thinking to myself...do I want a part time home inspector looking at my house, yet paying premium prices for an inspection? I wouldn't personally, but that's me.     home inspections for home buyer

    Brent gave me advice on three houses, although I only paid him for two. For the first house I was looking at, the seller agent was trying to push me to put in an offer without any condition so that the seller would accept without waiting for the offer date and hence bidding war. I called Brent to see whether he can do a home inspection before I put in the offer. Brent warned me of the risk of not having a home inspection and said any reasonable seller would agree to give a couple of extra days for home inspection. I went back to the seller and insisted to have a condition on home inspection. It turned out that not only the seller accepted the condition, but also they couldn't draw any other offer at the end of the day. Their fishy behavior made me walk away and the house sit on the market for a long time, not being able to sell even after a couple of significant price reductions. For the second house, it was being sold "as-is", but was priced low and everyone only had one chance to put in the best offer. I asked Brent to do a home inspection before I put in the offer. After inspecting the house, Brent said he didn't understand why it was being sold "as-is" because it is a very solid house structurally, although the inside needed update. Sure it was a good house; it was finally sold 25% over asking. For the third house, Brent did such a thorough inspection that even my agent said she never saw a home inspector as thorough as Brent. He not only looked for problems, but also found solutions for them, and provided info regarding the costs of fixing them. He is very knowledgable and takes the time to explain details. I highly recommend Brent for any home inspections.

Now that was a nice home! It's funny that you mention what I had thought about the first home and what the agent had said. I guess it is easy to spend other people’s money. When you get into these calibres of homes, why on earth would anyone buy it without an inspection? I think that agent was being just a little too pushy.     Classic Home Inspections

    I am very satisfiled with Brent's home inspection. He was very thorough, took his time, patiently explained all aspects of the house, gave me useful tips/advice, and was a very nice and pleasant guy to deal with. I highly recommend his inspections to anyone buying a home. Lorenzo

    Home Inspection for One-Year Tarion Warranty

    With only a few days left until the deadline to submit our 1 year forms to Tarion, we decided to hire a Home Inspector to inspect our home for defiencies that we may have missed. We also decided at last minute to use a home inspector to ensure that our house had no major problems. Searching the internet and then homestars we came across a few companies. After reading through the reviews, and speaking on the phone with Brent from Classic Home Inspections, we decided to have him inspect our home, over another company. He sounded the most honest, knowledgeable, and down to earth. He was also able to do the inspection with such short notice. On the day of the inspection, he was very thorough. We are very happy that he had found some deficiencies that we had missed which included another foundation wall crack and a water leakage. He later provided us with the photos with the deficiencies. Overall, a good home inspection.

So many people contemplate to get one or not. I think most who have are glad they hired me. Whether it is to confirm problems that they know or just for the piece of mind. In your case, I think it was a little surprising to find a leak in the basement with some mold starting to grow. Not something someone would expect in a brand new home.     We bought a new house and we neede a home inspection

    Brent was very helpful; I will say that I didn’t expect so much information. I asked him everything that I was worry about the house and he had patience to walk me through. He gave me good tips in how to fix the floor of the house (it was squeaking?), the basement window and he help us in trading with the seller some items vs. small repairs...What is more important he gave us the option to call him anytime if we need help or if we still have questions about our house. That is very important to know that you can count on the relationship with him, that you can follow up, that the service didn’t end right after you close the door... Great job Brent, thank you very much.
