I needed a home cleaner to come same day for a job - I was moving into a new condo, and the landlord did not have it cleaned prior to my move. Clean and shiny came in only a few hours after contacting them and did a very good job with 100% their own supplies. They were friendly throughout the job, and even provided advice on how to maintain many of our appliances. I would recommend them, especially if you need a job done quickly.

Clean & Shine provided me with Expedient service, experienced, very informative, excellent advice and recommendations, punctual, excellent quality, walked through the home with me after the job was completed, over and above the job task, pride in their work, efficient, followed up and made the home liveable again. Highly recommended. $ very reasonable and when the job required additional time, I was contacted for authorization.

I have been using Clean and Shiny for the last three years to clean condos prior to a new tenant moving in. They have always provided timely, consistent and a high level of quality service. After using various other cleaning services over the years with inconsistent results and pricing, I am happy to know my needs are always met with Clean and Shiny. Steven

I hired Clean and Shiny for a post-reno cleaning. This could not have been easier for them as there was no furniture in the house. I simply asked that all surfaces be wiped down and sanitized (we had plastering done and our wood floors sanded, so there was a fine dust over everything). In particular, I asked that they ensure all the windows and radiators were cleaned. I paid an extra $45 for a steam machine, which they said they couldn't clean the radiators without. There was also a $20 hidden fee at the end for a "travel expense". The results were laughably bad! They missed 2 or 3 windows entirely as well as a couple of radiators. You could literally walk into the house, pick a window, and run your finger over a ledge and see a layer of white dust on your finger. I can't for the life of me understand HOW they could have missed these things. They were there for 5 hours! My only conclusion is that they're pretty lazy. Yes, it's difficult to clean radiators, but entirely possible with a little elbow grease. I had to do the radiators over myself and they came out cleaner than the ones which were cleaned. It was a complete and utter waste of money. I called them right away to say that I wasn't happy. They promised to come back on the weekend to rectify things and re-clean the areas they missed. Surprise, surprise, they never called, not that I expected it. They have a great website, and they quote reasonable prices but I would never use them again for my own house. You may wish to consider them if you have a rental property and if you don't mind or care if the place doesn't end up completely clean! Unreliable, unprofessional, and unskilled, with no eye for detail whatsoever.

I wish I'd read KT's review before I made the mistake of bringing Clean & Shiny into my home. They rushed through each room, missing some very obvious areas (oh, and they "don't make beds" - what cleaning service doesn't make beds??). What's more, they don't put anything back in its place, sometimes left clothes or other items they'd moved from the dresser on the bed or the back of the toilet. I probably spent a good 45 minutes putting everything back in its place and recleaning spots they'd missed. I strongly suggest that the owners change the name of their company to "Half-Assed and Sloppy". It would definitely be a better description of their services.

Had the absolute worst experience with Clean and Shiny. In a 4-hours period managed to only dust my house. And the only reason I know this is because they moved the frames around on the shelf and didnt; put them back in their place. They didn't even touch the washrooms and claim they did. Not only was it the worst cleaning job I have ever witnessed, they also yelled at me for stating otherwise. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Reasonable price. I hired Clean and Shiny for a post reno clean up of my very dusty house. They Did a good job for a day's work. They sent a two person team.

I had my condo cleaned on Saturday Nov 26 for a post construction clean. When I called to book the cleaning I said there had already been a general cleaning done but the construction team had still been in and out completing work so the floors were very dirty. I stressed that I really wanted the floors to be the main focus. I am a designer, I work from home, so I had also already cleaned our home thoroughly as well. I am in and out of peoples homes all the time and I can tell you that by any measure my home was already quite clean when the cleaners arrived. The only thing that had not been completely cleaned were the floors because of the continued workers in and out. I have had cleaners into my previous homes before and they have all said the same thing, that we have a very clean home to begin with, so this was not a difficult job. I really only wanted one thing done; the floors to be cleaned PROPERLY. When the cleaners arrived, I made this very clear again. They dusted everything, which was fine, and had finished cleaning the master bathroom when the gentleman started 'cleaning' the hardwood floors (the woman started cleaning the second bath). He was using a spay bottle and simply wiping the floors; he was not moving anything such as floor vases and other minor/light items that should not just be cleaned 'around' (I had to tell him to move things), he was also not changing the floor pad he was using (in effect just moving the dirt around). I went into my master bath and cleaned the floor myself to check to see how clean it was and I came out and showed them the dirt on the paper towel that I had just cleaned off the floor. I again stressed that the floors were very dirty and they needed to be SCRUBBED not just wiped. I told them if all they did was make sure the floors were clean I would be happy. The gentleman stated they would make sure even if they went over them 3-4 times. At this time he went and got a proper bucket with hardwood cleaning solution in it, however he was still just lightly 'wiping' the floors and not changing the floor pad. After only this second pass on the floors (and still not moving everything that could be moved off the floors) they said they were finished and were going to leave; they had not been there the full three hours that I have to pay a minimum for. I asked him to please go over the floors again (he did not seem pleased by this request). I then went around and moved everything off the floors that could possibly be moved, again he just wiped with the same floor pad. They left after this. Immediately after they left I SCRUBBED my floors with the swiffer and swiffer hardwood floor cleaner; I used 14 swiffer pads and spent 3 hours SCRUBBING the floors alone. SCRUBBING!!!! Not nonchalantly wiping and moving the dirt around. I have posted the photos of what was still on my floors after your cleaners had 'cleaned' my floors. Needless to say I am less than pleased that I paid $205.66 for a service that I spent the next 3 hours doing myself!! I believe you should refund the money paid for a service which I did not receive and ended up doing myself.

As a real estate agent, I am always looking for "the best" service people I can find. A client of mine used Clean and Shiny and upon inspection, I contracted them to do 2 jobs for me immediately. Prompt, reliable, and most important a fabulous job!

Vadim and Ella worked very hard cleaning the apartment that was left in disgusting shape. I am very fussy and had spcific instructions for what I expected. I was more than pleased with the results. They were professional and took pride in the job they were hired to do. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone requiring professional cleaning.
