    Gas Fireplace Insert

    I came across Cozy Comfort Plus on Homestars while researching supplement heating for my finished basement. I originally considered installing a gas wall furnace but after discussing with Brian we agreed the best option would be to install a Gas Fireplace insert in my wood burning fireplace. Brian stopped by my place on Tuesday to review the site and discuss options/cost. Thursday I stopped by Cozy Comfort to check out the display units and placed an order to install a Valor G3 gas insert. Friday two gentlemen completed the installation on time without any issues. So the process from start to finish was very fast and efficient. Brian is extremely knowledgeable answering all my questions and reassuring I selected the best unit satisfying my concerns with regards to quality, safety, efficiency and cost. One of my requests was the ability to manually turn on/off the unit with a wall switch. Brian did say there was an option with this unit but when the guys were doing the insulation they said that it was not possible to hard wire a wall switch to the unit and it could only be operated with the remote control. After I had time to review the documents that came with the unit it does mention that a wall switch is an option so I will follow up with Brian. This is not a big concern but manual control would be a “nice to have” option. Overall I’m very satisfied with the out come and would do business with Cozy Comfort Plus again. I’ll post an update when we get into the heating season after I have an opportunity to run the unit for an extended period of time. Dave

    residential ductless air conditioner service

    Cozy Comfort helped us choose and very cleverly installed a ductless air conditioner in a west-facing room that was often warm. It was a pleasure dealing with Brian and his team. Within a year the unit stopped cooling. We called Cozy Comfort for repair service, and everything about this service was excellent: quick and friendly response, next day appointment, diligent and communicative service individual who worked until the problem was identified and fixed, waiver of the service fee since the problem was early non-functioning of the unit (not Cozy Comfort's fault) and follow-up to ensure that everything was working fine. These are very good people to deal with.

    A/C & furnace

    Great installation of Lennox A/C and furnace. Installers answered all questions/concerns and left furnace area in clean condition. Great pricing. Company handled all rebates & warranty registration. Highly recommend Cozy Comfort Plus.

    Carrier Furnace Replacement

    I was hoping to push my 30+ year old furnace for one more winter before getting it replaced. However, it stopped working middle of February and I made a number of urgent calls for quotes. Cozy Comfort Plus was my last call and they sent a sales rep to my door, same day. Brian was extremely helpful, patient, and spoke at a personal level. I was given a competitive price compared to the other vendors for the same equipment and he also offered the option of getting an outside energy auditor for additional energy incentives which the other vendors had failed to mention. I was extremely pleased with the service as I had an energy auditor and a new Carrier furnace with condenser pump arrive the next day on Feb 25th 2015. Installation was done well and the technicians were professional and courteous. I am extremely happy with the work from Cozy Comfort Plus.

    heating furnace

    Cozy Comfort installed a Lennox furnace in our house. After 2 years the furnace suddenly stopped working. Service call was placed. The technician almost instantly upon arrival concludes " the water pump is broken" The new one lasted less than a week. After we call them they say "they do not know when they can come" Terrible company. Do not go with them

    Hello and thank you for your feed back. Please be advised that the Lennox furnace had stopped working because of condensate pump failure. This is an added feature of the pump to shut off furnace in case pump can not displace water and will shut off furnace to prevent overflow and flooding. Unfortunately since installation on 12/November/2012 customer has never carried out an annual maintenance and cleaning of their furnace, which would have also included cleaning and inspection of condensate pump. Lack of recommended maintenance and unfavorable operating condition had led to excessive accumulation of dirt leading to pump failure. Following replacement of the pump customer called on Friday night regarding problem with new pump and appointment was made for Saturday morning. It should be noted that installation premises is a rental home with 2 rental units and furnace room is always locked (although it was advised NOT to keep furnace room locked for safety reasons and quick access to furnace in case of an emergency). On Saturday morning when technician arrived at location one of the tenants was not home and the other tenant had no idea why a service technician was called and as the furnace room was locked he could not inspect or check anything. Technician called customer and was told that he does not require the service anymore. We strongly recommend an annual furnace cleaning and inspection as it can prevent costly repairs and unnecessary replacement of parts & accessories. We would be more than happy to provide annual maintenance for Stephan to enjoy many years of problem fee furnace operation. Thanks .

    Emergency Furnace Replacement

    After a trying to keep our old furnace running for one more winter, we were left with no choice but to replace it after a cracked heat exhanger was found and it was tagged out of service (long story/competing company ). I had contacted a friend who unfortunately couldn't do the job for several days (not an option it's January) so in a bit of a panic I reached out to Cozy Comfort after seeing reviews here and on the Nest Pro Website. I was assured immediately over the phone that a sales person would contact me shortly and they would help us get up and running. Sam arrived at the house shortly there after (this is a Saturday afternoon) and we discussed options and price. I was ecstatic that they could do the job the next day (Sunday)! Mustafa and another tech showed up exactly on time and proceeded to complete the job in just a few hours. The heat is on and we are thrilled. I would recommend Cozy Comfort unconditionally!

    Heat Pump / AC Unit

    I did not have a positive experience, however I was issued a full refund. I've therefore retracted my full review. This company clearly cares about their brand and tries to provide customer service.

    Tankless hot water heater

    We have had nothing but problems with the tankless hot water system installed by Cozy Comfort in Nov., 2009. The system would shut off arbitrarily and have to be reset to begin heating again. After numerous visits, The Cozy Comfort repair person said there was nothing that could be done. Their top installation expert, Raymond, came to check out the problem on Oct. 7, 2014 and said that the problem might be low gas pressure and we were to contact Embridge Gas. Then contact him (Raymond) again after Embridge checked out the gas meter pressure. We did. The Embridge people came to check out the pressure and found it to be over 8 which was more than the required pressure to run the heater. They did note that the pipe connecting the Embridge gas from outside was 1" and the heater had been connected using a smaller size pipe. That was probably the problem. I left numerous messages (4) with the Cozy Comfort people as per the instructions of their expert installer but have not heard back from them. That was several weeks ago. Our hot water keeps cutting out. Their service is terrible, especially when it appears that their faulty installation of the equipment is to blame. Since this problem existed from the time the equipment was installed it should have been covered by the warranty. While exploring the reasons for the malfunction, their repair person attempted several things and charged us for the attempted repairs ($497.20 on Nov. 20, 2013 and $169.50 on Feb. 18, 2014). He even tried cleaning the heater saying that the problem was due to too much dust in the room (It was installed in the laundry room). There was a service charge for the cleaning. Of course, none of these attempted 'fixes' worked. I am very displeased with their knowledge of the products they sell and of their lack of knowledge in dealing with the problems that expensive equipment manufactured in Europe for European markets is not properly adapted for installation in the North American market. (This also refers to the inadequate installation of the boiler that was installed and kept blowing fuses in the middle of freezing winter weather leaving us without heat for days on end while waiting for a new fuse which was not readily available. The problem was finally fixed by my brother, an electrician, for about $60.00 worth of materials which Cozy Comfort said they would build for us for an additional cost of $860.00....This is after charging over $10,000.00 for installation of the tankless hot water heating system and tankless boiler. But because the boiler is not longer a problem since my brother fixed the electrical problem, I am not bothering to complain about it and only bring it up as an example of how little they know about the equipment they sell, install and maintain.) I rue the day I began dealings with them and will never use their services again.

    As it has been mentioned by customer, installation was done on 17/Nov/2009 for a Viessmann Boiler and a Noritz tankless unit. We did a number of service calls for customer since installation as below: 1- 20-Jan-10, (boiler Problem not Tankless) No heat. Boiler coding "F4". Cleaned flame sensor. == No Charge. 2- 21-Apr-10, (boiler Problem not Tankless)No heat. Replaced board ===No Charge. 3- 20-Nov-13, Tankless water heater keeps resetting. Tankless WH. not working / called Noritz / problem with clogged burners / problem with dirty spark maker, dirty sensor, dirty ventor motor, dirty heat exchanger / heat exchanger needs descaling for one hour / opened up all and vaccumed and cleaned / descaled with the special liquid == $497.20 incl. tax. 4- 14-Jan-14, Service call on Noritz Tankless WH / been there on Nov 20th / customer believes it’s the same problem. ****Technician went to fix the customer's tankless WH-it showed code # 90----called Noritz----Noritz company said they need an air compressor to clean the dust ,…..this happens in areas where there is too much dust.== No Charge. 5- Raymond attended a NO CHARGE call in September code:90, combustion gas pressure, before start up 8WC , 2 psi, co 85, temp: 32C. 6- 18-Feb-14, (boiler Problem not Tankless) water was previously leaking from the bottom of the heat exchanger / tightened up the rubber drain to the bottom of the heat exchanger / the temperature is going Up / CO test was done: 00.00 ppm. As stated above total service calls attended for Noritz tankless unit total to 4 since 06/Nov/2009, the two recent calls 14 & 22 were at no charge to customer.The other two services that were carried out on above mentioned tankless unit were carried out in 2011 & 2013. However, we also, as mentioned above carried out three other service calls on Visseman boiler, two of which were at not charge to customer only the service which was carried out on 18/Feb/2014 was charged at $169.50 . Another point to note is the fact that all gas piping is done according to code and piping from meter including branches are based on BTU requirements. Also as mentioned by customer problem was solved by an electrical repair done by her brother, and it was not related to gas piping but as Gas technicians we are very limited to the amount of work that we are permitted to do on electrical aspect of the job. Nevertheless, we regret that Anita had to go through this experience, we try our best to provide the best service that we can to each and every one of our customers, we have tried to solve the problem with all our best intentions, have made number of calls to Noritz technical support. We sincerely hope that Anita would have many years of problem free operation with her boiler and tankless. We would always be available for future services.

    Furnace and AC

    Shopped for replacing an old and inefficient furnace for qhite awhile until I learned about Homestars and the reviews where I came across the great reviews already on Homestars about Cozy Comfort and decided to also give them a call for a quote. From the person who answered the phone to Sam who was the Salesperson who explained everything very clear and precise. He was absolutely Great. Mark who scheduled the installation and work to be done. Then the team arrived to do the actual installation who was JOE and HAYTHAM what an amazing TEAM. They were EXCELLENT! They were patient, very knowledgeable, their workmanship was amazing a superb job. We could not be any happier and were so lucky they were the persons handling our heating especially when the winter is just around the corner. We are so glad to be another customer extremely happy with the Service Provided from Cozy Comfort. A very special THANK YOU to JOE and HAYTHAM for their amazing workmanship and integrity.     furnace, ac and thermostat

    This is only the 2nd time that I am have written a review at homestars , but only because this company and staff truly deserve to be recognized for their excellent integrity and amazing performance from the handling of answering their phone, to the manager, Mark and Sam the Salesperson who explained and got our trust to sign the contract and his follow up and care about our purchase. But above all I want to emphasize what a great team the installers were. A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU!! to JOE and HAYTHAM for their integrity, patience, EXCELLENT workmanship and understanding in handling quite a difficult and complex job. I came across this company via Homestars and because other customers rated Cozy Comfort so highly, I too decided to call them for a quote and advise for my furnace and ac. I cannot say enough nice things how accurate previous customers were and I am glad to be another one to be added to their list of a very satisfied customer.
