We contacted Lou of Dave White Heating to provide us with an estimate for a complete overhaul of the heating and cooling system for our two storey-home. Lou promptly came to review our existing system and explained to us the options available. We were very impressed with his knowledge and followed his recommendations for the purchase of the new furnace, A/C and HRV system. Lou and his brother Marino worked diligently to complete the installation within a couple of weeks. During that time, they kept us informed of their progress and arising issues. They were punctual and cleaned up after their work. We are very happy with our new system, and especially pleased with the heat distribution throughout the house. My gas furnace died just before Christmas 2 years ago. My family was coming to stay. The service company I had couldn't get the part needed. Fortunately Lou's number was on a tag on the furnace from when he installed it 15 years ago. He responded immediately. Got the part even though the supplier was actually closed. Fixed the furnace and has been servicing it ever since.

The high velocity air conditioning unit did not cold the home below 26C. The people from Dave White were very focused on resolving the issue and assess the problem in rational and methodical manner. This was a very complex problem to resolve with combination of possible solutions and in the end a solution was determine. Thank you Lou, for your perseverance and dedication in getting the job done any other guy would have walked away.

My hot water heater broke down sometime Friday night. Without hot water on Saturday morning, I called Lou, he came out, drained the tank, and arranged for the replacement. The replacement happened Monday morning. As always, Lou was totally reliable, honest, very prompt, cleaned up after the job, took care of everything. Lou installed my a/c a few years ago and has done various types of duct work as well as regular furnace servicing. I can count on him and can trust him. He has my highest recommendation.

Lou of Dave White Heating installed a new high efficiency furnace, air conditioner and water heater. Lou is honest, reliable, and efficient. With his work there are no worries; Lou explains and fixes everything. We chose Lou as last year he changed my mother-in-laws oil furnace to gas and did an excellent job. Lou was able to fix a complicated problem we had as the the sewer was not located near the water heater or air conditioner. He fixed it efficiently and with no mess and took away all old units and garbage! I highly recommend Lou to everyone and all my friends who use his services are extremely pleased.

Lou and team replaced all of the ductwork in a 100 year-old home that I am renovating. They did it well and quickly and for a very reasonable price. When I was out of the country weeks after they finished I found out I needed the furnace and hot water heater removed immediately for some work being done in the basement. I called Lou, the furnace and water heater were removed the next day in spite of them already havign a full schedule. I will be using Dave White Heating for all of my HVAC needs going forward. Great guys, a pleasure to work with.

Several years ago, our furnace died on one of the coldest nights of the year. We called our general contractor for advice (Mike Mazza of Mazza Renovation -- we thoroughly recommend him as well!), and he gave us Lou's number at Dave White Heating. Lou was came out the same day and had us toasty warm in no time, at what we thought was a thoroughly reasonable cost. We were immediately struck by how truly nice and professional he was and filed his number away for future use. The following summer, our air conditioning unit started freezing over during a major heat wave. We immediately called Lou, and sure enough, despite being an incredibly busy time of the year, he was out the next day, found the coolant leak and saved us having to replace the air conditioner. Then this week, after the earthquake, we found a liquid overflowing in our furnace room from some point in the air conditioning system. Worried that something had cracked during the quake, we called Lou on a Saturday, expecting to leave a message and hear from him on Monday. To our happy surprise, he called us back within the hour, and walked my husband through things to look for ("let's see if I can save you the cost of a service call" was his response). Sure enough, the problem was a simple one (a plugged drainage elbow) that we were able to fix ourselves. Not many contractors would have this kind of consideration and take that kind of time to help out a stranded homeowner. We can't recommend Lou enough. He's professional, incredibly courteous and thoughtful and knows his stuff. Thanks again, Lou, for saving our bacon 3 times now!

When my A/C stopped working, I naturally ran out and tried to diagnose the problem. I checked this and that and everything else I could think of. Then I wondered who I might call. I first thought to call the original installer. He was a pretty good guy but I had flashes of hundred dollar service calls. Then I remember Lou (who had previously done my ductwork for my new addition). He was a good guy and made an effort to save me some bucks with the ductwork job so I figured I'd give him a call. Being Friday evening (around 8 pm) I figured to leave him a voicemail and wait for him to get back to me on Monday. Much to my surprise, he answered the phone. I introduced myself and mentioned the job he had done for me previously and he instantly knew who I was, what he had done and what I did for a living (which is a testament to his memory because half the time I can't remember where I was yesterday let alone 2 years ago). In any case, I describe to him what I had checked and what seemed to be the issue as well as what the A/C was doing (aside form not cooling). After a couple of quick questions he suggested that I try a replacement run Capacitor (after explaining how to test the current one if I had the proper tools). He suggested where I might look locally to find the capacitor. Unfortunately the shop he suggested is no longer there (but that's to be expected now and again). So Saturday morning I spent some time trying to locate a supplier with the capacitor in stock who was open on Saturday. I eventually found one and grabbed the capacitor, came home, replaced the original and once again I have functional air conditioning. So thanks again to Lou (and while I appreciate that virtually any A/C service person "could" probably have given me the same information, I'm not too sure how many wouldn't have made an "emergency service call" just to tell me they couldn't get the part until Monday. Thanks again Lou. You were my ductwork guy, and now you're my anything HVAC related guy. I can't stress enough for you readers out there. Tuesday night my husband and I were up all night with our son who was ill with a high fever. After we managed to get a couple of hours of sleep in the morning, we realized it was very cold in the house. It seemed the furnace was out and it was -10 outside! I called a few heating repair places and was told that they could come out on Friday which really doesn't help when the house is 13 degrees inside. I called Lou at Dave White and he said he could come in a couple of hours. He identified the problem and fixed it quickly. He showed me how the furnace works (since I didn't know) and even suggested I replace the filter. He was professional, friendly and got the job done. I also appreciated that he took his shoes off at the door and was very courteous to an exhausted Mom! Thanks Lou!
