    Ductless A/C

    Very pleased with my ductless A/C. Got one that provides heat too. Scott Padfield was amazing. I like the house to be very cold and so if you do too, make sure you ask what the lowest setting is. Mine goes to 18 Celsius; would have liked colder, but the house if very comfortable. I own an old home fraught with duct work woes, and so the ductless A/C works wonders. I would not be without it. I should have gotten a ductless A/C unit sooner!

    New Furnace and A/C installation

    We just recently had a new Daikin high-efficiency furnace and A/C unit installed by Delta Air Systems. The process, from initial consultation to installation to post-installation follow-up was excellent. Whether it was their sales-person or the installation technicians, they were extremely professional: pleasant, personable, courteous and informative. Buying a furnace and A/C unit is not a simple purchase process, and my wife and I were extremely impressed by the level of commitment Delta Air Systems staff has regarding 1) the ability to provide their customers with a range of product choices, and 2) the level of education they provide customers about the products they are investing in. These are two HIGHLY important aspects that should be involved in every sale (or potential sale) of a HVAC system; however, sadly some companies just don't understand this. And that is precisely why we chose Delta. Thanks, guys!

    Furnace and AC Replacement

    From the quote to the completion of our renovations, Delta was a dream to work with. Jason, who provided our quote, was courteous and knowledgeable. Not only did he look over the duct work and gas lines, he answered questions about our fireplace, windows, and plumbing system, and he gave us the names and numbers of reputable companies who could help us in areas that Delta couldn't (ie. windows). He then offered to expand a portion of our venting system for optimal airflow and to replace certain gas valves that were no longer up to code. The quotes we received from other companies also admitted these valves weren't up to code, but then they shrugged and said they were probably fine anyway, whereas Delta agreed to replace them at no additional cost. Steve and Sean performed our renovations, assisted by a trainee whose name I didn't catch (sorry). They completed every detail Jason and I agreed upon, replacing valves, venting, and installing our new furnace and air conditioner all in one day. I've had trouble with contractors in the past showing up drunk or doing shoddy work, but these guys were fantastic. They arrived on time and worked hard, taking only a short break for lunch. They cleaned everything up before they left, and Steve stayed behind to explain the work they did and how to use and take care of our new HVAC system. I would wholeheartedly recommend these guys to anyone looking to replace their furnace or AC unit. Never in my life has a renovation gone so smoothly.

    furnace

    My daughter suffers from hyperacusis causing normal sounds to be multiplied 50 fold. We went through 3 different companies, all who promised they had the answer by installing their furnace. Well, 4 furnaces later and 2 years of misery and we were still no further ahead trying to find a furnace who's sound didn't make my daughter ill. We were to the point of selling the house. Researching “on line” reviews led me to Delta Air Systems. I called the company and explained the situation to the receptionist. She put me through to Calvin (the owner) who immediately said he understood my problem, having run into this situation prior. He suggested I drop by the office and he would explain what he could do. Upon arriving Calvin explained how the new ECM motors were the cause of my daughter's sensitivity to the sound. He suggested using a PSC motor. He introduced me to Tyler who would design a new system that would accommodate a PSC motor. Calvin came to my daughter’s home and inspected the existing system. He did a static pressure tests and balanced the system to improve circulation. He then had Kevin come to the house to inspect and measure the existing duct work. Kevin explained that the plenums and ducts were the original from the old oil furnace and needed some adjustments to better handle the air force of newer furnaces. He showed me how previous installers had simply modified a few areas in order to make their furnaces fit. He also suggested how to improve on the cold air returns. Steve and his crew arrived on time and went right to work installing the new system. Steve (the crew captain) explained every detail they were performing and answered all questions. They completed the installation professionally and cleaned up afterwards. Both Calvin and Kevin dropped by during the install. They also called me several times to check if I had any questions. The system was turned on and to my daughter's delight, it was perfect. Calvin came by and took the time to explain to her what they had done and how the new system (that they virtually built) works. We now have a system that my daughter can live in the same house with and it performs better that any of the previous systems installed. There is a definite improvement to the air circulation. No other company was able to figure it out. All they were interested in was selling me a furnace then walked away after they got paid. I can't thank Calvin and his staff enough for what they were able to do. As Calvin told me' "There's a reason why we are called Delta Air Systems".

    Replaced furnace & air conditioning system

    Recently we had Delta Air Systems install Lennox furnace & air conditioning units. Our 22 year-old system was originally installed by Delta Air; we were very satisfied with their service. When our A/C system crashed we naturally went back to the original supplier. We got prompt attention to our needs and a proposal to fit our budget. On the day of installation a crew of three arrived, they were courteous and efficient. The old equipment was quickly dismantled and removed. It was impressive to see the installation's progress, obviously the crew were were well trained and good at their jobs. Within the day the new system was set up and tested. We have no reservation in unconditionally recommending Delta Air Systems for your heating and air conditioning needs.

    Furnace and ductless a/c install in Kitchener

    I recently had a new high-efficiency furnace and ductless air conditioner installed by Delta in my older (~120 years) home in Kitchener a few months ago. The home had not previously had air conditioning, and the ductwork had obviously been retrofitted into the home sometime long after its original construction date, so it was not suited to a typical ducted air conditioner. I opted for Delta because the salesman Scott took the time to explain why a ductless air conditioner might be a good solution for the home. I was familiar with the technology but, even after bringing it up to other HVAC installers who quoted me for systems, I was told that a typical air conditioner would be “good enough” and, anyway, cheaper. Scott went through the principles of it without overwhelming me with information, and explained the reasons why I was likely to be more satisfied with a ductless unit. He also explained the different options of furnace and gave me enough information that I could reasonably weigh the costs and advantages of each choice. The unit installed wound up being a 1.5 ton Daikin ductless air conditioner and heat pump on the second floor of my home, and a forced-air two-stage Daikin furnace. The installation required two days, and I found Dale and his partner extremely professional and courteous. I met them the first morning and they explained to me exactly what their plan was, and where and when they would require access. Dale spoke with me about the different options for the specific location of the air conditioner’s line, his requirements and my preferences, and he was able to run the line entirely out of sight in two upstairs closets. I’m also pleased with the performance of the air conditioner so far. As in other older homes, our challenge has been to keep the upstairs cool while the first floor is usually very comfortable. The ductless unit blows right where we need the cool air most on the bedroom level, and falls towards the main floor. We’ve found so far this summer that using a mix of the unit’s ‘Air Condition’ and ‘Dehumidy’ functions, along with the furnace fan, keeps the entire house very comfortable. Testing the heat pump function of the unit, I expect to be able to use it for supplement heat during the night in winter, when in past winters we’ve used a space heater to help with extra heat in the kids’ rooms. Overall I was very satisfied with the work Delta did, and very happy I went with a more appropriate solution for my home’s cooling than what a lot of other suppliers would have been happy to install. It was not the cheapest option, but I feel that the outcome was what I had hoped. I would definitely seek Delta out next time I need HVAC work done.

    Ductless Air-conditioning

    Scott made the best recommendations for our home built 1925 with no cold air return from the top floor. Scott was great to deal with and when the installation team came in they were polite, clean and quick. The unit works as promised and looks clean and tidy.

    From sales person to Installers

    Just had my new Daikin air conditioner installed. The installers arrived about 15 minutes past expected time. (no problem, I was prepared for worse) Brian and Sean were polite, knowledgeable, and skilled at the work they performed and completed the installation right on schedule. They spent a few extra minutes helping track down a water problem from the old AC which had leaked into the fan and 1 screw hole later the problem was solved. They cleaned up their mess to my satisfaction and overall I am impressed with their work. The initial sales person Jason was accurate on all counts and even accounted for a change of mind on my wife's part to have the AC put on brackets instead of on a pad. Now if Daikin holds up to it's reputation this will have been a very smooth process from sales to installation to years of AC operation!

    Heating and Cooling Systems

    We have purchased two complete services (Heating & Cooling Systems) from Delta Air Systems Ltd., throughout the years. The service was exceptionally professional, from the start to finish, from all personnel at Delta Air, even to the point of personnel removing their foot ware when entering our home, and not leaving until the sweeping was done. Heating and Cooling Systems are a major investment for any homeowner and like any major investments; it must be taken very seriously. A bad decision can be disastrous, with serious consequences resulting in unexpected additional costs. In conclusion, Delta Air Systems met and exceeded our expectation and we strongly recommend their services.     Furnace and AC

    We were extremely pleased with the excellent service we received from Delta. Scott, our sales rep was very knowledgeable and Very patient! The installation team of Brian, Chris, Sean were great! They worked efficiently and left everything neat. All our questions were answered before they left and ensured we knew how to run our new equipment and where to find more in depth information. The office staff took care of preparing all of the rebate submissions. A couple of days after installation Scott returned to ensure all was in order and that we were happy! Thank you again for all your work! We would not hesitate to recommend you to friends!
