    Furnace maintenance checkup

    It always feels safer to have the heating equipment in my home checked and maintained by Direct Energy before the winter. Their knowledge and skiills are so important. Thank you.

    TERRIBLE TECHNICIANS, SERVICES

    STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS BEFORE YOU GET A HEART ATTACK. It's been almost 2 weeks without hot water, they've sent over 7 technicians to look at it, they left my house without finishing the job,never told me what is the problem. Every one of them tried to leave the house because they won't admit they DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. I called the Direct Energy Services agents, they hung up on me when i am just asking for help and why are they providing me such irresponsible services! Transferred my call to a supervisor, i asked her is this how you train your agents? Hang up on their clients? She replied "Oh i am not involved with them, i don't know who you spoke with and there is NOTHING i can do" I am about to explode every time i speak with them!! I finally said ok, i am willing to pay $450 FOR A NEW FURNACE , NOW MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR ME . The technician called his manager, NO ONE PICKED UP, the tech or agents he spoke with just laughed at him for some reason... they are extremely unprofessional! Then the tech support said to him "THERES NO JOB YOU CAN'T DO, FINISH IT" and he replied "Ok i am telling you I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS" (This was all on speaker phone, so my whole family heard their conversation) They are having internal issues themselves yet they charge me $45 service fees every month for this kind of customer service? Today was my last chance given to them, i expected them to come between 10am-2pm for replacing the new water heater tank. Guess what, they left me a note saying "Sorry, we've missed you" at 12:30pm, no other information left for me. I called the planning division, i said the technicians never called, never rang the doorbell and just left me a note. He reached for those guys and THEY ARE ALL GIVING FALSE INFORMATION! He said they called and no one picked up, they were knocking on the door for several times. DO THEY NOT KNOW THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED A DOORBELL???? Oh.my.god. I know what they are trying to do to me, they are forcing me to cancel their services then they won't need to provide me the new tank and i will have to find someone else for extra costs. NOW I AM STUCK!

    Plumbing

    I had a plumbing plan, called them for about the clogged sink. They told me that the earliest they can send a plumber is after 3 days. I paid another plumbing company to get the problem fixed.

    FURNACE MAINTENANCE AND DUCT CLEANING

    Bad customer service Reps. I scheduled furnace maintenance and duct cleaning service, first they messed up appointment date, second they charged me way more than what they promised, third they were not cancelling my service. I had hard time cancelling the service. Hopefully I will not receive any bill else I will have to find out some legal ways to deal with them. JUST AVOID THEM GUYS!!!

    air condition

    not recomend it at alllll, they will find any way for not fixing the problen under the reason ( not covered) they are using the most unprofessional local staff .. save ur money but not byuing the plan

    Hot water tank

    Never ever use their service!!!Here's a warning for everybody! Here's my story: I bought a house months ago and we did a reno, because my wife is pregnant so I didn't let her to help with anything and I'm really busy deal with the reno, take care of my wife and in the mean time take care of my job. I did made a mistake that I didn't realized that the house is under contract with Direct Energy. Because the hot water tank we have in the house is the very old style with a chimney and we want to upgrade to a the latest model so I called another company from a friend's referral and they came and did the installation for me the next day when I called. After a while when I finally got some minutes to review my bills and I found out there's a charge from Embridge bill and then I realize that the tank might be a leased unit. I'm ready to pay some penalty because it's my fault to signed a new lease and I called them nicely and to check how much they want and how can I take the tank back. The agent on the phone tell me the contract is 16YEARS! yes, it's SIXTEEN years!! and they DO NOT accept the tank back and the only way for me is to payout the tank and they asking for almost 800 dollars!! Even a most advanced model in home depot, brand new unit won't even sell at that price! The previous owner have already paid the contract for five years and they say there's no other options and there's nothing they can do because I signed the contract!! Let's just do a very simple compare: Other company's contract is 7 years and they accept the tank back. Direct Energy's contact is 16 years and they don't accept the tank back. Other company offer one free upgrade during the lease and Direct Energy ask me to pay for an upgrade and I don't even think it will be a fair amount! They are such a greedy company and definitely not a ethic company! !!STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!

    Cottage Furnace Cleaning-Maintenance

    I requested the maintenance visit for my furnace at my cottage in Tiny Township to occur on sun.sept.28 between 12;00 noon and 4;00pm. I waited and received a call at 3:30pm from Marko the Direct Energy tech that he was still in Barrie, and that I would need to reschedule.On Mon.Sept.29, I received an email that I was rescheduled (without my acceptance) for Wed.Oct.1. I called back and rescheduled for sat.oct.4 for 4:00pm to 8:00pm. The tech arrived at about 4:30pm. He did not ask to see my thermostat (which in his report says it's NOT programmable.....it is programmable). He completed his work within 1/2 hour and quickly left.....was he in a hurry ? I can't say I'm pleased with the amount of money that I pay for maintenance annually on my HIP plan, only to be dicked around with scheduling and techs who either don't keep their sceduled appointment times or are in a big hurry to get in and out.

    HVAC Service

    The technician who came to my home was very knowledgeable about my equipment. If its possible I would like to have him come back every year for my maintenance. Great job!
