Decorative inserts for front door, side lights, and transom

I was very impressed with the professionalism and quality of the work that was done. I wanted a custom design based on a picture I had seen, and they had it custom made exactly how I wanted it. The price was extremely reasonable for what I got, and the installer was experienced, knowledgeable, and efficient. Overall, I am very satisfied. I heard about this company from a friend, and due to my positive experience I will be recommending them to other friends and family in the future.

    Windows and Door

I have bought from Door and Window Man twice in the past 2 years for both my front door and windows. I highly recommend this company. Quality service and workmanship! Very reasonable, honest, dependable and personable. It was a true pleasure working with 'big boss' Bruce who stands behind his products.

    Townhouse complex window replacement

Over 10 yearsDoor & Window Man replaced the wood framed windows of 94 townhouses, installing energy efficient modern windows that are maintenance free. Over 400 windows installed, plus a few patio and garage doors. This was not one order - 94 townhouse owners placed partial orders as they could afford new windows. Bruce was always competitively priced, co-ordinated the work personally and was focused on costumer satisfaction. The couple of warranty claims were corrected to everyone's satisfaction. Great work. Highly recommended.

    New windows, entire home.

Should have trusted my instincts. Late or missed every meeting before installation. Good product (available elsewhere), but, extremely poor coordination and medium quality installation. Bottom line is go with Bruce but be prepared to hound him to the end. Very frustrating experience.

Dining Room Window & New Front Door

In November, 2008, our home was broken into. The front door was broken/splintered, as was the frame around the door. The insurance company covered the replacement front door, and we decided since we were having the work done, that we would also order a dining room window, since it was aging. Bruce came out to take our order, and was very nice. He made some suggestions that we worked with - like ordering a front door that was primed only...I painted it myself instead of it coming pre-painted. This way, we could put a portion of the cost of the replacement door towards a new screen door as well. In hindsight, this was not a smart move. I am a good painter, but I think the door should have arrived pre-painted (my error in taking his advice). Service started to go down once installation took place. The installer was either new to this kind of work, or he was just bad. The dining room window was installed, but he only caulked the bottom of the window, and then it took 6-7 weeks for him to come out and do the capping. Because the windows weren't sealed properly, our curtains were blowing almost 1 foot away from the windows (in mid-winter, I might add). I e-mailed and called many times, and in one of the e-mails from the company, they told us that the reason the installer didn`t caulk the windows was because my husband told him not to. I have absolutely no idea why he said this - did he think we wanted cold air blowing in our dining room??? Eventually, he came back and fixed everything, caulked and capped the window properly. It was fine after that. Then, there`s the front door (painting issue aside). The actual wood door was fine, but the screen door to this day is still awful. The installer took an entire day just to install 1 screen door. We mentioned afterwards that the swing on the door was so fast that it was hitting is on the heels when we went into the house. He adjusted it by moving the pump or hinge thing (sorry, don`t know the proper term!). After he moved it, it closed a bit more slowly. Now the problem is that because he moved it, the door only opens up to around 65-70 degrees, and the swing is still too fast. The only way for us to open the screen door wider is to unscrew the pump thing - a complete pain. All in all, I would not recommend this company. Their service and communication was not good and response times slow. I had to follow up many times to get the job done even to a level that I think is still unsatisfactory.

    Front storm and rear doors.

We needed a storm door in the front and a new door on a new frame in the back of our house, and when we called a few places with good reputations Door and Window Man seemed to be the best option after the quote. Our house is old enough to have somewhat unusual measurements and, um, character. The job was done a couple of months ago and we are very happy with our choice and the job Bruce and his team did. Everything as it should be. If we need work done in this or the related areas they do, we will call them without hesitation.

    3 new windows

I recently contacted Bruce at Door and Window Man for a quote on 3 windows in my older home. He gave great advice on both the window type that would suit the home and on some other small home reno work that we would be following with shortly. I felt the price quoted was fair, the original time frame reasonable, and I was pleasantly surprised when the company contacted me to see if I wanted to install the windows a week early as they had arrived. I would recommend this company and Bruce to anyone.

    Replaced windows and doors

Bruce and the team of people he employs and subcontracts to were all very professional, helpful and pleasant to deal with. Bruce sets the tone, and his personable approach and reasonableness were appreciated by us as we worked together on this significant project. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and recommend Door and Window Man!
