    Prepaid 2014 Lawn Care Services

Dr. Green in Calgary promises service that they just can't deliver! When no one shows up, they blame the weather; but we kept track and weather was never an issue on the days they said they'd be here. We prepaid for 2014 services in March, but they didn't provide their first treatment until the end of June (after we had cancelled the service and requested a refund). We had to fight to get them to cancel our service, and they wouldn't process our refund until we filed a complaint with the BBB. For those who are still trying to get their money back from Dr. Green, file an online complaint on the BBB website. It's an easy process, and we had our refund in two days. For those who are considering using Dr. Green - please don't!

    Lawn Care

Doctor Green calls in the fall saying that they would do a free fall treatment if I sign up next year. They never showed up in the fall. In the winter I cancelled because they did not keep their commitments. Somebody shows up in the spring. I told him to leave my property because they haven't done anything for me. I have to cancel them again in the spring. Now they call and tell me that I owe $75 for cancelling or they going to give this case to a credit agency. Please do your homework before you use this company

    Lawn Care

We were told that we would have aeration completed for our lawn early in the season but did not receive aeration until August. We had called a few times to ask and were told that it would be completed but they were backed up. I don't think this is an acceptable service time when we were told it would be completed in the Spring.

    Lawn Care

One evening I got a phone call from Dr. Green co. and offered me free lawn care fall treatment. Lawn care treatment will be given to demostrate me the quality of service provided and if I will convinced by the serviced I have the could sign lawn care contract. I reconfirmed that I may or may not sign a contract with them and cofirmed by the salesperson. Accounding to Dr. Green sales representative this call was recorded. A few day after this conversation I saw Dr Green tag in my lawn and $50 invoice for the first service and if I will discontinue I should pay $75. Nobody called and schedule the visit even my wife was home on that day and she didn't notice any work. I called the Dr.Green and discotinued (cancelled), which I never agreed for, further service and paid $75. This is an alert to everybody, please donn't allow Dr. Green for the free service. You will be automatically signed up for the services. This is unethcal practiced by the Dr. Green.

    Lawn Care

Poor job, had to get them to come back, and was then charged for it. They do not tell you all services are automatically renewed yearly, and it took me 3 times calling in and repeatedly cancelling for the service to actually be cancelled. *They do NOT tell you on the phone there is a cancellation fee to their services, but they put it in the fine print in your cancellation e-mail, to be able to charge it. I find this company extremely poor and do NOT recommend them!

    Lawn care

This company is very flexible when it comes to price. The guarantee of the quality is that they come and redo the service in case I am not happy with the job done. I've been using them for 4 years and this has never happened.

    lawn service

I switched to Dr. Green from a competitor this year as I was unhappy with the health and quality of my lawn. I was assured that the Dr. Green program would result in significant improvements so I agreed to give them a try. Around about mid july, it became apparent that the grass quality had not improved - it was weedy, thin, poor colour - certainly not the lush dark green grass I had been assured would result. I called a few times and tried to get a consultant to come out to review the grass and talk to me. Seems to be an impossible task - people came out at various times but they would not commit to a time window so I could be sure to be here, in fact once I was home but they didn't ring the bell and just left a written report in the door. Very frustrating!! I was about to fire the company, when Christina D from customer service contacted me. She was very empathetic, calm, concerned and promised to follow-up. She had a senior tech come out (although he still didn't talk to me - i couldn't be here at the time he could comet), she gave me an extra aeration, overseeding and soil condition treatment for no extra charge. She called me at least 2-3 times to follow-up without me having to chase her. Time will tell if the treatment actually makes a difference, but I wanted Christina's bosses to know that without her kind diligence, they would most certainly have lost this customer!

    Lawn Care Service

This is truly a horrible service. I would not recommend to anyone. They keep charging money for services they don't do well or even don't do at all! On there site it says you can cancel anytime for any reason. I called customer service and they wouldn't even let me cancel their services! They said I have one more appointment. I expected full service from them and didn't receive it. I am greatly disappointed. My lawn looks worse than it did before I signed up with Dr. Green. I hope people will read the reviews of their company before they sign up with Dr. Green.

    Lawn Care

I have had nothing but trouble with this company. I have been on the phone to them more times than I can count. I had an overseeding done in the spring. I kept getting notes after that that I should have an overseeding done. When I questioned this, they said that sometimes the techs don't look at the past records. So they came and overseeded again. We had to wait another 3 weeks to cut the grass and followed all the care instructions. When we cut the grass it was a terrible sight. There were burnt and dead patches everywhere. Long grass was laying down flat and when I lifted them up it was dead underneath. I had to hold the grass up with a rake while my husband cut it with the lawn mower. I called and asked someone to come and talk to me about it. A week later a "supervisor" came. Didn't knock on the door just left a note that he thought it was bugs. I called and after he was very rude he finally came back to talk to me. He had marked all kinds of things on an analysis sheet that did not apply to my lawn. I insisted on a second opinion. Again, about a week later, someone came early in the morning and did not let me know he was there. Left another analysis which differed considerably to the first one. He also said it was bugs. There was no further damage to the lawn in 3 weeks so it couldn't have been bugs. By the time they sprayed for bugs the lawn was starting to look better. There are still some bare spots. They called and told me they were sending a "manager" out to speak to me and reseed the damaged areas. I got an email that they were coming the next day. No one showed up. The following week I got a call that they would be here this week. I asked them to phone me first and to not come so early in the morning. No email, no phone call. The "manager" came at 7 this morning, filled in spots that had nothing to do with the damage from the overseeding. There was a few worn spots from a party I had on the weekend which would have corrected themselves. Totally missed all the other spots. I did not even know he was here until my dog heard him put the bill in the mail box. By the time I got to the door, he was gone. he left another analysis that said that I had no weeds. Again, not true. I could count at least a dozen and that doesn't include the clover. I am so frustrated with this company. They send students out to service the lawn which is fine if they know what they're doing. Last year they burnt an area with weed spray but we gave them a second chance. Big mistake!
