My experience started off mildly well, but went progressively downhill.
With the exception of curtailing a clover problem in one area, the services provided were truly disappointing. I asked to be notified when an upcoming treatment would occur, so I could clear the lawn of any kid's toys and trampoline. I didn't get a notification, and they just came and sprayed around everything, not treating under the trampoline. I complained, so they did notify me after that.
When the Dr. Green workers showed up, they spent more time writhing up the invoice than actually treating my lawn. I called their Help desk to ask for someone to come to my home to discuss how to treat some of the problem areas in the lawn, because I was seeing no improvement. I was assured someone would come out in 3-5 days...It was a 1 1/2 months before anyone showed up, after repeated requests. I asked numerous times for a manager to contact me; No one ever called.
At the end of it all, with the exception of the clover patch, I spent $515 to have my lawn look no better than the year before, when I treated if myself, with about $60 worth of Miracle Gro.
I informed the Dr. Green Help desk in the fall I would not be using them again. Then this spring, I get a notice that they've scheduled a spring clean-up for our lawn, and subsequent fertilization. I called, and asked why, and was told, even though it could be seen on my file that I requested no more visits, that they just automatically reschedule the same program as the previous year regardless. The girl I spoke to said she put on my file for this to be cancelled (again).
Then today, one week later, my wife called to let me know a Dr. Green truck had showed up to work on our lawn. She informed them that I had requested them to not come, and they told her also we are just automatically re-scheduled for the same program as the previous year, without any confirmation from us. Obviously this is a company mandate, to trick people into services they didn't ask for. My wife informed them they were welcome to still come, but they wouldn't be paid, as which point they left.
I appreciate no service is 100% perfect, but the professional incompetence questionable business practices of Dr. Green have been mind boggling. I feel bad for their Tier 1 help desk staff, because they're fielding the frustration of clients like myself.
So the moral of the story: Don't use Dr. Green; you’ll be profoundly disappointed. I just wanted someone to contact me, and they couldn't be bothered.
How Kyle ever won a 'Business Leaders of Tomorrow" award, is beyond me. The committee who nominated him should consider reviewing whether a vetted candidate actually is operating ethically or not, which Dr. Green clearly does not.
