    Faucet installation

I had called drain rescue because my kitchen faucet had seemed to be broken, I needed assistance as soon as possible. Drain Rescue was able to get someone to my home within an hour from my phone call. The technician had come in and had taken a look at my broken faucet. He explained all the work he was going to do in a professional manor, he went through how much it was going to cost as well. I went ahead with the work, the technician was very clean and very organized. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the work that was done as well as the professionalism as a company. I will be using Drain Resuce again.

    Drain pipe repair

Charged over $1,000 for 2.5 hours of work, including travel time to pick up parts, and some common ABS parts. Would not provide me with a quote that would show cost of parts and number of hours times hourly rate. Signed contract as I was under pressure to have the drain leak stopped. This company did not deserve my trust

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for taking time to write an honest opinion. Arrived on location and diagnosed the problem and told the customer the cost of work. Customer agreed to do the work and signed the invoice. Our company does not charge by the hour we charge by the job, so whether the plumber was there 2 hours or 6 hours the price would have been the same. There was no obligation to go ahead with the quote provided. Our plumber arrived to this location about an hour and 15 minutes after customer called to say he was having a problem. Customer had all rights to shop around if they wished to do so. Our plumber even gave the customer a 15% discount on site from the original quote. We apologize that you feel the price was too high. All of our plumbers have pricing guides with them and price accordingly.

Shower Faucet Repair? Or money grab?

We needed a new shower faucet cartridge. It's an easy DIY job so attempted it myself. We could not get the cartridge to sit properly so finally had to call a plumber. Sadly we picked Drain Rescue Plumbers The plumber arrived. He was very personable and seemed very helpful. He attempted to fit the cartridge and also failed. He gave me two options. 1) Cut into the DryWall and replace the whole Shower Valve. 2) "Force" the cartridge into place. To be fair his preference was for the former, though I was told that "if" he could get the cartridge in all would be fine. He managed to do so and with some trepidation he turned the water back on. Everything seemed fine and it looked like the cheaper of the two options had worked. Roll the calendar on two months, and the shower faucet would not switch off at all. I contacted Drain Rescue Plumbers again and the "manager" was unable to tell me any warranty details, and the owner was away but returning "sometime in June." She got the original plumber to call me. He told me that his recommendation had been to replace the valve and that I had chosen the alternative. I pointed out that I had chosen from two options given to me by him. I had assumed that either option given by a professional would be viable. Not an unreasonable expectation! After a free and frank discussion with the "manager" Drain Rescue Plumbers offered me a choice of a free re-install of another cartridge. (You will remember that they had made clear that was not the recommendation!), or 10% reduction on a replacement valve. I asked the likelihood of a new cartridge working and was told by the plumber that "I have no idea" (Not very reassuring). He also told me a new valve would be warrantied for only 3 months. Now here's the thing. I no longer trust Drain Rescue Plumbers. How could they offer a free solution for something they don't recommend? Could it be just to "settle" with a difficult customer? Why did they not agree that I should have an expectation that either option presented to me would be viable? So I no longer trust Drain Rescue Plumbers. But more than that, I have subsequently discovered from Moen and other plumbers that on no account should a cartridge be forced. Never! Nada! If it doesn't slip in easily it is always a problem with the valve itself. Apparently this is well know, though the information does not appear to have reached Drain Rescue Plumbers! So option one was never really an option, but it certainly was a money grab! Beware!

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for your review Jeremy. As you state in this review our technician gave you 2 options but recommended you to do the 1st option. It was your choice to make. You chose to take the cheaper route. He explained to you and even wrote on the invoice that his recommendation was for you to change the valve. Again this was your choice. After 2 months you called us back and our manager tried to come up with a solution for you. We had offered to change the cartridge again, free of charge or go ahead with the recommendation at 10% off of the original quote. Unfortunately we could not come to an agreement. We want to thank you for being honest when saying out technician was personable and helpful.

    drain repair

I called drain rescue because I had a sewer backup. They arrived at my house within the hour. The plumber was knowledgeable and explained everything to me. I live in an older house with clay pipes that had collapsed which cause the back up. They excavated and got my drains working by the next day. They left my house immaculate. I will recommend drain rescue to everyone!

    Outside drain

I called to book a quote, was greeted very nice, Was very pleased with the quote, Wayne took the time to explain everything ... very professional made me feel very confident to hire Drain Rescue. Booked the job to be done in one day. The crew who did the job were very polite, left the sight over night in very clean and secure. After job was complete the place was left very clean ... The front yard was dug up and is quite small dealing with the pile of dirt wasn't easy but they did a fantastic job and the garden looks pretty good considering it had loads of dirt piled on it ... The job it's self everything is flowing nicely ... Thank you Drain Rescue for a very satisfied customer :) Janet

backed up sewer line , broken pipe in basement and outside

Quite satisfied with the quality work and the professional manner we were treated with by workers and office staff . Timing and co-ordination was good. Inside and outside were put back the way it was before the backup. The actual inside sewage cleanup was done by us, or you would need to call a restoration company . more $$$$ Thank you.

    Answer from pro:

    Massive Drain Overhaul

Drain Rescue has handled all our plumbing and drain issues with tact, discretion and the utmost professionalism. Since 2014 we have had them in our home on three occasions and, while plumbing issues are never fun, they have given us piece of mind no one else could. This recent experience with them was amazing. After three days of labour, concrete floors being dug up, etc. you would never know any work was even done. The workers were respectful of our home (and the state we were in), worked cleanly and left no mess. I would recommend them to anyone.

    Drain Line Replacement

I called Drain Rescue because of recent backups I've been having in my basement floor drain. The technician came no more than an hour later I called. Turned out their were roots growing in through almost every single joint. I accepted to have the work done but was worried that because it would be such a big job, with the excavator and everything, the aftermath would be absolutely displeasing. On the last day of the job, the workers did absolutely everything that could be done to make my property look the same as it was before the work even started. What a job they did, I was more than satisfied.

external lead pipe replacement into my house

This company was fast and reasonably priced with great customer service. They even cut the sod carefully so it could be replaced back on top of where they laid the pipe. A job well done!
