    clogged toliet

On Nov 5th I found that my toliet was clogged and after repeated attempts to clear, I desided this was in need of a professional. I called Drainworks and they sent over one of their team. The fellows name was Mike and after he tried and tried to unclogg the toliet with the snake , there was no choice but to take off the toliet. A few months ago I had a similar experience when my gran-daughter had given one of her toys a swim in the toliet. I figured that this was a repeat but no... Mike took off the toliet and low and behold there was the clogg. Beets ! some how.... a number of sliced beets had been put down the toilet. Mike removed the beets , changed the inbound water line, replaced the toliet. All this was done very professionally and reasonably priced too! I highly recommend Drain Works and their very special staff... " Thanks again Mike " for BEATING the BEETS clog for us........ Gerald Hopkins

    Laundry Faucet

As one of my laundry tub taps was leaking badly, I called DrainWorks and asked them to make a service call as soon as possible. This is my third time dealing with them and, on every occasion, I have been exceptionally happy with their service. I called on a Thursday and spoke to Will who was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I told him that my taps were quite old and that the drip was rapidly getting worse. He took all the particulars and promised that someone would come as soon as possible, hopefully, the next day. Sure enough, he called again on Friday and said that they would be able to come that afternoon. Chris Léger and a new associate arrived promptly at the appointed time and could tell right away that I would need a completely new set of taps. I was quickly given an estimate for the work needed and, as I found it very reasonable, I agreed to have the work done right away. I am happy to report that I now have a new set of gleaming copper taps, in addition to new and improved hoses for my washing machine. The work was completed on a timely basis and I especially appreciated that, as is their custom, there was no mess for me to clean up. I was also provided with a service warranty. Chris also pointed out to me that I needed a main water valve replacement as it was also leaking and was kind enough to recommend a company that did this type of work. I will definitely call DrainWorks again for any future work I may require and will recommend them to my friends and neighbours, as I have already done in the past.

    Bathroom leaking into kitchen below

We had two separate leaks a few days apart so we called Drainworks in twice. Turns out the toilet was leaking and was dripping water into the kitchen below. Then a few days later, as our lack of luck would have it, the tub started leaking. Initially we had no clue where the water leaking onto our kitchen cabinets was coming from other than the bathroom above. Drainworks came in and 'diagnosed' and fixed the problem quickly. All is good! Very much appreciated!

    drain clog

While showering this morning the water level in the tub began to rise. And rise. And rise. But it wasn't just the tub, the sinks in both the bathrooms and kitchen were also backing up. Not good. We tried to plunge and clear it but the water would not go down. We're new at being homeowners and didn't know exactly who to turn to, but with Homestars' high recommendations of DrainWorks Plumbing we made the call. We're really glad we did. They fit us in really quickly - they were at the house within an hour of our call - to accommodate our availability (it was either now or we go without water for 24 hours, not so easy with a one-year-old child. They came over, snaked it all and cleared it all out very quickly and cleaned up completely after the job. The plumber also pointed out a drain trap in the front of the house that needed to be attended to, taking the time to put the camera in to show us the issue for ourselves. He left a quote, explained our options and also let us know about a city rebate to look into that may cover the cost of the repair. We're very pleased overall with the professionalism of this company and won't need to look any further for any future plumbing needs. I'd recommend DrainWorks to anyone with a plumbing problem.

    bathroom sink repair

I paid $72 dollars to get a quote from Drainworks. I needed a new tap installed in my standard bathroom sink (no plumbing problems; just a drippy faucet). The guy quoted me more than $700 just to put a new faucet in a standard bathroom sink! I found another licensed plumber who is replacing the tap for $320 including labour. When I complained to Drainworks, I received a nasty email from the manager calling me names.

    Answer from pro:

Anne, After looking into the call done at your home yesterday, there are several inaccuracies and outright falsehoods in your email. You mention that your bathroom sink needed either new washers or a new faucet due to a small drip. You were given 3 options for this: $159 +gst to repair the faucet, $319 +gst to install a faucet that you supplied, or $529 +gst for us to supply and install the bathroom faucet for you(including parts and labor). If you look at your invoice, all of this was very clearly explained and documented on it. You signed the invoice acknowledging as such. Furthermore, we take great offense to the wild accusation that your gender had anything to do with the outcome of the call. We have one pricebook for EVERYONE; Male or Female. All of our pricing is clearly outlined in it. Lastly, you say you're outraged at having to pay $72, yet you were made aware of the assessment fee when you booked the call in and had agreed to it; no more or no less. Not liking our prices is one thing, but to proclaim wild inaccuracies and falsehoods is a completely seperate matter. The same procedures, systems and business practices are conducted daily by DrainWorks, this enables us to correct customers who make proclamations like yours. Thankfully, Homestars is in the process of getting the capability for parties involved in situations like this to post the invoices in regards to claims made. This will go a long way towards ensuring falsehoods like this can be seen in an accurate light so other consumers won't be swayed by misinformation

    Unclogging of kitchen pipes

I called them and spoke to a very professional and nice operator. My service was scheduled for that day. They called me before the technician arrived, who was on time as well. He was knowledgeable and fixed my problem in very good time. Will definitely use them again.

    Tub Clog

We called Drainworks after seeing their positive reviews online. Their technicians arrived right on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and had our bathtub working again in about half an hour. They were even careful to knock quietly when they arrived after seeing baby toys in our living room! While fixing the tub the technicians realized our toilet was also running slow. The problem was calcium buildup, which they fixed at no extra charge. Great guys, great work... Would definitely recommend this company.
