Drain snaking
DrainWorks was quick and clean. Exceptional service, their serviceman was very friendly and left the place cleaner than it was before he came. Love the booties that the serviceman and the machines wore.

exterior excavation to replace blocked pipe
Unfortunately some gravel from a renovation found its way into our sewer line that effectively backed up our waste water. Drainworks was quick to show up and diagnose the problem with a camera inspection. At a cost of $278 this was very expensive given other companies, I've since learned, will do it for $50. they came back the next day to excavate the clogged pipe just outside our house and replace it with a new one. The workers were curteous and efficient, doing the work in less than a day. In an emergency situation, where cost is less of a priority, I would use them again. However, if you have the luxury of time, it would be prudent to get a couple other quotes. **DISCLAIMER: Drainworks offers a $20 cashback incentive to its customers for writing a review on Homestars. It does not specify that it need be a positive one.

**Thanks Jon** We value your review and your input. Regarding companies that claim to perform camera inspections for $50, you do get what you pay for. Being in the business for over 20 years it is impossible to run that type of service with a qualified hourly technician with the proper insurance needed, for example, WSIB, liability, etc. The type of company that provides a $50 camera obviously cannot provide the level of service you received from DrainWorks nor do they encompass the level of experience needed to complete your repair. Also, as far as obtaining additional quotes for the excavation, DrainWorks would always be the least expensive quote as we offer 10% less on a competitors comparable quote.

basement drain
I called Drainworks for a basement flood at 10am on a Saturday they were at my home within a few hours! respectfully took care of the problem with no mess or heavy fees am very satisfied would highly recommend and glad I found a company I can trust with any plumbing needs, thank you Drainworks!!

odour in laundry room drain
Their staff was helpful and courteous on the phone and in person. I received same-day service from a friendly and knowledgeable plumber, who explained precisely what he was doing every step of the way and left my house clean and tidy.

Drain repair
A call in the afternoon resulted in a visit the very next morning. My technician was courteous - thanks for wearing those plastic booties over your shoes - and quickly identified and repaired the problem with my backed up drain. This is the second time I've called on them and I certainly won't hesitate to do so again.

Underground Full Drain Pipe Replacement
Shortly after moving into an older wartime bungalow in South Etobicoke, the term "Move-In Ready" or "Turn-Key" does not apply to this home any longer. After a drain back-up nearly two weeks ago, and the original diagnostic of root infiltration into the existing clay pipes, it was determined that this job was necessary before going any further. From the moment they walked through the door, Drain Works have been nothing but up front and fortunately brutally honest about the condition of the piping inside and outside of the home. The work crew worked diligently, the on site supervisor got right into the muck of things, and the area supervisor's were very helpful during this time of unfortunate circumstances. It is very endearing to see that the company gives back through charitable donations at the end of each job, a full video-recorded inspection was provided, and a lifetime warranty that is transferrable to the next 'lucky' owner of this house is a definite bonus selling feature. Thank you to Frank, Armando, Walter and his hard-working ukrainian crew to ensure everything ran as smooth as can be. Definitely a reputable company, would highly recommend.

Removing a drain clog
We discovered that there was a fairly significant clog in our takeaway drain. We found DrainWorks under plumbing in the Yellow Pages and decided to try them. The person who answered the phone (I believe it is Sam)was courteous and very helpful. The technician who came to the house (Matt)called a half hour before he arrived (as we were told)which was within 3 hours of our original call. He explained what he would be doing to rectify our problem and priced the job accurately before he began. He took his time to fix the problem and to give details of how we could further fix the problem (tree roots in the drain). He was clean (wearing booties over his boots), extremely polite and very professional. He had all necessary equipment with him and the problem was fixed quickly. The advertisement that DrainWorks uses worked, but most importantly their advertisement was accurate. They are as good an organization as they say they are. I was extremely satisfied with the service I received, and although I hope I don't have to, I wouldn't hesitate to contact them again, nor would I hesitate to recommend them.

Snaking followed by Excavation
When we ran our washer, all of a sudden water came out of our drain in the basement. So first we tried the Draino of course to no avail (does this stuff do anything ;-) Next was a snake I tried that would only really unclog a bathroom drain. Called the city, they would not help us, as we had no clear out valves on our property. Who to call next? After reading the reviews here we were led to try Drainworks. All the reviews here (positive ones) are very accurate. We called around dinner time on a Saturday... they were going to show up that night but got caught on a big job but we received a call from dispatch asking if the next day was OK. They showed up in between the time they promised on Sunday and tried to snake the drain. 30 feet in and a big clog, no more snaking. Our tech, Matt, then did the camera and could not see much but a big blockage. He pinpointed the "root" of the problem and recommended excavation. We said go ahead, the next day the crew was there and replaced a part of clay pipe with newer technology pipe and removed a 3 foot tree root. They also put 2 clean out valves on the new pipe for us so if we need to snake again, it can be done now. Our water is flowing again thanks to Drainworks. Big thanks to Matt and the great Drainworks crew who really worked hard and very quickly to not only fix our problem but make us more knowledgeable about the tree root problem that exists. Hopefully the city will help cover some of our expenses as the inspector deemed city tree roots. Thanks again Drainworks, nice to know there are companies around that are not out to just rip you off but genuinely care about what they do and how they do it. I have attached a photo of our tree root so people can understand how much of a problem these can be!

sewer drain repair
When I called they had a plumber at the house within 2 hours to inspect the sewer damage. The very next day they repaired the damage. They work very clean and review all the work that had been done with a video inspection.

Drain snaked
I had a backed up drain in the Laundry room floor which needed to be snaked which was done very quickly. Jeremy also showed me the source of the problem which was an improper plumbing connect to the main sewer line done by a previous owner. I know what will have to when I renovate the basement sewer line and feeder lines. I found this value added to the original work that had to be done.
