    plumbing fix

    On February 18, 2010 I had some plumbing work done by Chris [last name removed-- Ed] of DrainWorks. On the previous day I had called and was given a time of between 8 and 11 am. On the morning of February 18 there was a caution call that the plumber was running late. He arrived after 1 pm and was finished before 3 pm. There were three what I considered small problems. 1 A leaking shutoff valve in the bathroom. 2 A leaking laundry sink tap. 3 A toilet running, not sealing when flushed and refilling, the toilet tank leaking. The work took less than 2 hours for a total cost of $639.95. I found the cost excessive. I have no complaints regarding the quality of the work. There have been no problems since the repair.

However, it's important we clarify a few other issues you brought up; you are correct in saying we arrived later than originally anticipated, but we did provide you with a discount as a result of our being late for the appointment(in addition to a phone call in advance advising as such). In regards to the duration of the call, Our GPS unit indicated or plumber was there from 1:45pm - 4:45pm, for 3 hours, not 2 as stated. As for the cost of the items we did for you, it was $535 +gst for parts and labor prior to the assessment. We had explained to you on the phone when booking the call, that our plumber would assess the situation and then provide you with exact, to the penny pricing before any work at all was done, so you would know precisely what the cost was for all items you wished to have serviced. If this was excessive to you, there was certainly no obligation to agree to the price or to us beyond our assessment.

    Blocked sewer lines (tree roots, old pipes)

    Responded quickly to my initial call. They temporarily cleared the drain (no charge) and were able to start the real/big job within 1 day. They were clean, friendly, respectful and did a great job, I would recommend them to anyone.

    sewer backup

    Tech Jeremy [last name removed -- Ed], professional, on time, helpful and showed what was wrong and fixed it for what he said he would. I would definatly use drainworks again and recommend to others.

    Bathroom Shower

    My upstairs shower had very low water presser, Jeff Wright from Drainworks did a great job with the repair. One cool thing Drainworks changed the date of the appointment the night before so I got a 10% discount.

    Sewer line replacement

    Called DrainWorks on a Sunday night after discovering a blocked sewer line had started to back up in the basement shower. Apologetically got bumped by someone else's bigger emergency that night, but DrainWorks knocked 10% off of the inspection bill for my trouble and appeared promptly the next morning. The morning after inspection they had a crew in to dig up the line and replaced the problem section of pipe. Three different handoffs to different team members to get the job done, plus the dig crew, and all three were highly professional, efficient and communicative. Exceptional attention to detail, including clean up!

    Clear clogged kitchen drain

    Lou [last name removed -- Ed], the service technician, was prompt, extremely polite, and did the job perfectly. But also, diagnosed probable causes and gave suggestions for problem prevention and ease of future fixes (if it ever became necessary). He cleaned up better than he found it. Fantastico! I've never had such good service from any contractor - ever!

    fixing drainage

    Lou Spada was amazing. Lou came on time and fixed the problem. He cleaned up everything and did not leave a mess. He explained everything, got paid, and left. Thank you Lou!

    fix bathroom plumbing

    My husband was a handyman that could fix anything so there was never any need to use a trades person until he passed away suddenly.I was spoiled and didn't known who I could trust when I needed a plumber to fix a very bad drip in the master bath. A friend suggested DrainWorks and gave me the phone number.Right from the very first contact with this company I was impressed,I explained my problem and a Tech. was sent out the next morning to do the repair. He arrived on time viewed the problem and explained my options. I was able to work within my budget and pay with visa on the spot. The work took less than an hour to complete and no mess was left for me to clean up after.I was treated with respect and honesty,and will use and recommend DrainWorks in the futher, Karen M., Kitchener, Ont

    Drain Overflow issue

    I am always skeptical using the web to search for the best service, but the Drainworks site was helpful in describing what they do and THEY DELIVER on their commitments. He arrived on time, was courteous, helpful in explaining things and willing to do what it took to resolve the problem. I am very pleased.

    Blockage in sewage system

    We had a blockage in our sewage system that caused a minor flooding in our basement. We went on line to find a company and this one came up. We called an explained our problem and they had someone at our house within 45min. Matt was very professional and knowledgeable and offered as much information as he could so we understood everything that was happening. He himself understood exactly what was going on and helped us to find a way to fix the problem without just trying to take advantage of us not knowing the situtation and try to make money off us. We were very pleased with his knowledge and professional approach, we would definanlty recommend to others.
