We saw the reviews on Homestars and decided to go with them. The prices were very decent and the people came and installed our blinds very quickly, professionally, and punctually. We were very happy with their service. One of the things that we were not too happy about was the product itself. Though we bought Hunter Douglas blinds, within a few months of using them, the strings would come apart from the piece that held it together and it would become near impossible to pull the blinds up... unfortunately, in order to get the whole thing fixed and rethread, we would have to return it to Hunter Douglas and pay for the shipping costs, which is pretty crazy for such heavy blinds. We were unaware that this lifetime warranty meant that we would have to pay for the shipping. However, we did need new knobs for our blinds, and I contacted the store - the person was extremely helpful and quick to answer. I ended up having many more knobs than i had ordered within a week of placing the order. The service at Excel was amazing and quite impressive considering we purchased these blinds over 2 years ago...

I did a search on the internet and called them. They responded quickly. They came to my house, measured and gave me a quote. I picked the fabric and they said that they would be ready in about 2 weeks. They are lovely and I am very happy with them. There was however, a delay with the delivery. I was hoping to have them delivered on Friday, but due to missed connections they were not able to get them to me until the following Monday. I was disappointed that they weren't ready on time as promised.

They came over to see me and did an estimate for my shutters. They arrived about 2 weeks later and they installed them for me. It was very good, they had them up in 3-4 hours. We had 15 windows to cover.

I found this company online and visited their show room. Carmella came to my house to measure, made some color suggestions and gave me a quote. The shutters arrived around 10 days and they installed them for me. I have a big house, 20 windows.

A family member referred us to the company. We sat with Carmella and discussed pricing, and our options. I checked out the samples at their shop to decide what I wanted. They measured before we closed on our house. Some weeks later when we took possession the coverings were ready and were installed immediately.

We got a flyer in the mail for Excel Shades. Their prices seemed reasonable compared to the other quotes we got. We had a lot of windows to cover. It was a large job. We have referred them to others, as we were very happy with their work

This is a family owned company that we have used before. They understood our needs and were quick with a quote. They supplied the blinds in no time. Their price was within the range we expected to pay. It was a pleasant transaction, a very service oriented company.

My wife found this company; we went with them because of the quality and the price. They came to our house with samples; they took measurements and immediately quoted a price. The installation went smoothly and was done within the time frame. The customer service is above and beyond. Carmella is excellent to deal with and her follow up exceptional.

We had them install some California Shutters some time ago. We used them 10 yrs ago for another job and felt comfortable calling them back. Most recently we had custom venetian blinds installed in our basement. We are happy dealing with them. They are very accommodating and professional. Their installer is very good

Someone I work with had used this company years ago, they have been around for a while. I had already received a few quotes from other companies. Excel Shades, Carmella, offered a good price and quality. They were ready and installed when promised. Now we also used her brother for some California Shades. We were promised them in 2-3 weeks but it took over 6 weeks to get those. Less content with that job.
