Backyard Deck Above Walkout Basement
When we decided to replace our house's 4-year-old builder-grade deck, we knew we wanted to ensure the deck that would be installed would not only last for a very long time but would also be as safe as possible. Having worked with Arturo, of Hickory Dickory Decks, we now have a deck that meets not only those initial criteria but is beautiful too. The space is so inviting and comfortable we find ourselves spending time outside more and more. Throughout the review, selection, and installation process, Arturo was able to walk us through, with just the right level of information to help us make our design and purchasing decisions. He made it a very easy and enjoyable experience...maybe too easy! I would recommend HDD, and Arturo (and team) in particular, any given day

Backyard decks
Adam and his team from Hickory Dickory Decks Durham handled our 2 deck project professionally from beginning to the end. From the minor variance application to building permit to the actual build all was done with great communication and care. We are extremely pleased with the entire project and final result. Any issues or changes were dealt with promptly. We highly recommend them for any deck project you might be considering. Backyard deck with lights
Hickory Dickory deck did an amazing job. They sat down with us and listened to our ideas and devised a plan. We love our new outdoor space.

Rebuilt porch stairs
Frank and Roland did a great job rebuilding my sad stairs to my porch and part of the old porch. We used a combination of Composite and Cedar and it came out great. They also did some stonework on the landing to complete the job. They were very creative and solving several challenges when working with a very old porch and it was much appreciated. Their company is highly recommended.

Deck Rebuid
This summer we hired Hickory Dickory Decks to resurface our aging deck. Our deck was large extending out and around our pool. Charleigh spent considerable time with us measuring the deck and preparing a very detailed quote with several options to choose from. When we sat down with Charleigh and Greg to discuss the quote there was no pressure to choose some options over others. They provided advice that allowed us to make informed decisions without the pressure of costs for the project. Our project started on time and we were kept up to date at every stage of the build. Unknown to us was that the salt water from our pool had slowly been corroding all of the metal parts in our old deck. As Matt and Greg began to remove the top boards, we were faced with failing joist hangers and post anchors. Our straight forward resurface had quickly turned into a complete rebuild. Matt spent many hours speaking with us and providing us with options to address the various problems that we encountered. He was able to quickly pivot towards a complete rebuild and problem solved with us several times. Matts attention to detail and focus on quality resulted in several changes to our deck design. Matt also came up with a fantastic solution to box in the sides of our pool and we were thrilled with the outcome of our deck. We were impressed with everyones professionalism throughout the project. They made us feel like our opinions mattered and they surpassed our expectations every time. We now look forward to enjoying our new deck for years to come and we highly recommend Hickory Dickory Decks to anyone planning a new deck. HDD Mississauga N/W - deck and pavilion
Extremely happy with my backyard renovation. Fantastic people to work with - Bob who listened to my vision and offered the best products for it to come to life - composite deck, cedar pavilion with shingled roof and glass panel railing. Mack for meticulous tear down saving materials for reuse (planter boxes) and Nick a very skilled carpenter. Very personable young man who explained the build, offered some suggestions and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Very happy repeat client!

Front porch
I recently contracted Frank to build a new front porch for my family home. I have dealt with many contractors over my years as a property owner and I must emphasize just how seamless the process was dealing with the team at Hickory Dickory Decks. The communication was some of the most prompt and friendly I have ever encountered and the keen attention to detail in the handiwork speaks for itself. Overall, the workmanship and high quality of the end product were well worth the price point and I would highly recommend Frank's services to anyone looking to revamp their outdoor spaces. Best Barrie contractor
Big THANK YOU to Arturo and his team for my long-awaited ground level and second level decks. Although there were some delays with permits from the City`s side, everything was handled in a professional manner. Amazing work all the way throughout the process with high level of professionalism in both communication and workmanship. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for quality and peace of mind.

Custom Deck
We had a very pleasant experience with Arturo and his crew at Hickory Dickory Decks in Barrie. From the outset Arturo was very helpful and informative in designing the deck and provided a very detailed quote so we knew exactly what to expect. When we made some changes during construction the installation crew were great with suggestions and Arturo was again prompt and detailed in outlining the cost impacts of our changes and helping us to get what we wanted at a fair price. The construction crew were outstanding. They always had time to answer questions and we could see first hand the quality of the work they were doing. We were also lucky in that we're in a new development with decks being built all around us and we could again see first hand the difference in quality of our deck versus others. Of course quality comes at a price but we are very happy with our extensive deck and are confident it will maintain its integrity for many years to come. We wouldn't hesitate to use Hickory Dickory Barrie in the future and highly recommend them if you are looking for a long lasting, high quality deck solution.

Composite deck, Excellent Service
When we decided to replace our old deck, we had so many questions. After talking to several companies, we decided to go with Frank from Hickory Dickory Decks. We are glad we did!! Frank came over to check the area, gave us advice, explained all the options before giving us a quote. He was very patient, polite, professional, and knowledgeable. The demo, construction, and installation were faster than what we have expected. It was impressive how organized Frank and his team were, cleaning up the area extremely well at the end of each day. The final product was worth every penny. We went with an 11x18 feet composite deck with a combination of rails and glass. We also added a cocktail railing top a great way to put your drink or plate if you have a party and running out of small tables ;-). Thank you Frank!
