Had attic & skylight upgraded, the crew was very professional in appearance and attitude. Service was accurate to what was on the estimate. House was left clean as well. Passing vaccum was required as expected. Will recommend to family and friends!

Bruce Jackson was the sales rep and two young gentlemen ( I regret not remembering their names) came to our home to provide spray foam insulation. I was pleasantly surprised at the warm caring nature of all of these folks and their wanting to provide good service. It was great to have been treated so well and in fact outstanding in this world today. Increased our attic insulation to R-50 with the help of Insta, and at a fair price. Installers were great - arrived early on the morning of the appointed date and got straight to work. Project was completed within a few hours and we noticed an almost instant change. I've passed on recommendations to my family and friends!

I contacted several companies to get quotes on insulating my garage ceiling (with bathroom above) and the inside wall of the cold cellar. Insta-Insulation offered a good price, and they seemed to know what they were talking about. We booked the appointment, and they were to arrive between 1 and 3 PM. They showed up after 6 PM, and finished up by around 8 PM. That's not too serious, except that because we have to get out of the house for 24 hours (to allow the insulation to cure, and the gases to dissipate), it kind of messed up our evening. Once complete, I found that our bathroom floor was still quite cold... a bit frustrating, given the cost and effort to do all this. I rented a thermal imaging camera for $90 and checked out the quality of the coverage, and found many small holes that defeated the goal of sealing the air gap between the floor above and the insulation, as well as a few thin areas. I would have called them back, but due to time constraints to get the rest of the job done, I just bought a few cans of spray foam insulation and filled the gaps. Using the camera, I confirmed that everything was good. The floor is a bit better, but still cool. (No fault of Insta-Insulation, I'm sure). The installer made a comment that he was having problems with his sprayer, and it finally started working well as they finished up the job... that might explain the spotty coverage in some areas. So, while I like the foam insulation, the job was just 'ok'. I might use them again, but I'd make sure to explain that I really want a good job this time!

I contacted Instal-Insulation in the spring of 2011 to add more R value to my attic and to fully insulate my office space that was an addition that had no insullation at all. They had to come at 2 separate times as two different trucks are used for the insulation. They came not only on time but a few minutes early just to so they could prepare. Bruce was the guy who gave me the quote and explained the process to me initially. I had also seen their work on Mike Holme's shows and felt comfortable using them. The guys were all courteous, they cleaned up after themselves and answered any questions I had. They increased the R value for the attic from a R12 to R50 and for the spray foam they did it to the full 3 inch thickness i required to qualify for the energy grant. I would have thought that because they are sucha big name company and always featured on Mike Holmes that their prices would be astronomical. But I found them to be very reasonable. I have definitely noticed a difference in my home thanks to Bruce and his guys.

We hired Insta-insulation to blow in insulation in our attic to a R-50 rating. They were on-time, polite, very informative, and did a great job. Noting more you could ask for. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

A major leak developed in our roof just before Christmas. Going up into the attic, I discovered that several 4 x 8 sheets of plywood had gotten mouldy and rotten. (The builder had decided to vent the upstairs bathrooms into the soffits and not through the roof. After many years of backflow into the attic and condensation on the underside of the roof, the structure had failed.) We hired a reputable roofing company to come in to install a new roof. However, the roofer was unable to redirect the existing venting up through the roof. We did not want to leave the problem in place. We had been thinking about hiring a handyman but were reluctant to trust a general and perhaps inexperienced worker. While investigating the possibility of upgrading our insulation to R 50, I happened upon Insta-Insulation (as seen on Mike Holmes’ tv shows). Their representative Sean advised me that I should correct the venting in the attic before I did the insulation upgrade. Fortunately for us Insta-Insulation also has handyman services staffed by attic specialists. A week later, we had 2 visits in the same day. In short order our attic venting was put right in the morning. In the afternoon other upgrades were completed including the addition of blown cellulose to take our house up to and beyond the building code. At all times Insta-Insulation staff were friendly, professional, and courteous. Those who visited our home were careful to leave the premises as clean and neat as they found it. I cannot recommend a company more highly than Insta-Insulation for any service that they may provide. It was a pleasure dealing with them. They have given us much peace of mind about the security of our attic and the savings and comfort we will experience in future. Many thanks.

The quote process was very easy, prompt and courteous. They were able to do the install on short notice. During the installation process it became apparent that they wouldn't be able to complete the work because some copper pipes were too close to the wall. They came back and finised the job with little fuss and delay. Overall we are very glad we chose this company and will call them back to quote on our attic job. By the way, we instantly felt the difference after the job was completed (Feb 11).
