The workers were supposed to arrive between 12 noon and 4pm. They arrived at 1 pm. They were very courteous and respectful. Our garage ceiling insulation had already been removed by someone else. They removed the vapour barrier which was still up. They also removed all the items that we had in the garage (lawn mower, snowblower etc.) They then proceeded to get to work. It took 4 hours. When they were done, the garage ceiling and ducts were all covered in purple. However, they damaged a wire in the garage door opener such that it could no longer open and close. They fixed it and then left. It was after 5pm and the office was closed. We were paying by credit card. They told us to call the office on monday to pay. First thing monday, we got an all capital letters email from the office about payment. It was absurd. We called the office and paid over the phone and educated the office staff on how to conduct email correspondence. This was the worst part of the experience with them - the rude email about payment - they acted as if we were trying to avoid paying. The actual workers and the work was fine. The rooms above the garage are warmer now but the true test will come in the winter.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB WHILE WORKING ON THE GARAGE. I NOTICED THAT THERE WAS NO INSULATION IN ANOTHER AREA AND THEY TOOK THE TIME TO INSULATE IT AT A NOMINAL INCREASE IN COST. SAVED EXTRA FEE.

We had Insta-Insulation install blown in cellulous fibre into our back split (with two attics) and the price was the best by a far margin (it may have been a slow time of year) and the installers did a good job. Work included adding R30 insulation and baffles for every rafter. The EcoEnergy Auditor that we had indicated the job was done well and we likely exceeded R50 in parts of the attic. The work was mostly cleaned up after (some residue did remain). We have noticed the difference in both summer and winter.

I choose this company because its on the Holmes on Holmes website, and I've definitely used some great companies, but this one is an exception. I dealt with Robert S. who came into my house and sold me on the fact that he was familiar with the neighborhood and has done insulation for a LONG time. Knowing that we, and our area have a termite problem, he put in insulation that was useless. The termites ate into it almost immediately. So not only did I have to pay for the insulation, I had to pay to get it removed so that our crawl space could be treated. After speaking with the company, they didn't care and had no interest in even giving us a discount. That's a sign of a company just looking to make money off people, even if they have to walk over people in the process. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I'm sure there are many companies out there that are more compassionate and caring about their paying customers. Merry Christmas to me.....over $1000- in the hole!

After watching Holmes on Homes, he suggested Insta-Isulation for insulation installation in your home. They were inexpensive, great products and exceptionally fast service. I was beyond happy with their workmanship and will definitly use them for insulation purposes in the future.

Easy-going, non-salesy, great servioe, great workmanship, worked with us for our specific requests, on time, on budget. Prompt. Would recommend them... :) Polite, friendly. Mike Holmes would be very proud!

I had three quotes – two from other listed companies and one from Insta-insulation. All three men got exactly the same info. In fact, they all ended up standing at the same point in the kitchen as I discussed an ice damming issue near the kitchen window. Robert immediately pointed at the pot light and said “that is your problem , I hate it when they put pot lights in attic spaces, they never insulate them properly”. A week later, we were having the roof re-shingled and I had them cut the roof boards right above that spot. The pot light box to keep the insulation away from the heat was 1 inch from the roof board and there was zero insulation above it. As well there was no vapour barrier at all – so we were really heating the attic through our pot lights. So he was totally right. Before the insulation was blown in, we removed 8 pot lights and fully sealed the rest of them with a fireproof insulation and vapour barrier boxes to seal them completely. The difference in our house has been unbelievably good – one room that we took 6 pot lights out of has actually been warm this winter! Our energy costs are down and zero ice damming! The Insta-Insulation guys were great – they came in as scheduled, did the job and left on time, cleaned up after themselves, and did a thorough job. And of the three quotes – they were not the lowest, but certainly did the most complete and thorough job. I would strongly recommend them.

These guys did a great job. They were fast and did an excellent job with the soffit prep and insulating. They cleaned up well leaving absolutely no mess. Customer service was great, I only had one problem which was a billing error that was resolved immediately.

I called insta-insulation and they gave me the best possible way to insulate my basement. I am going with insta-insulation for sure, as they are professional. I have seen their work on Holmes on Homes and i believe he uses them exclusively.

Had insta-insulation spray foam the walls and headers of my basement reno project. Everything was done on time and on budget. Room was cleaned up nicely. No issues and I would have them back for future projects. Price was not significantly more than using traditional methods, and I didn't need to install vapour barrier.
