If you're looking for an honest, trustworthy electrician, look no further - and give Kiya a call! We were surprised to discover during our renovations that the last owners DYI work was crazy dangerous (using co-axial cable for electrical??). Kiya came in, assessed the work and gave us a very reasonable quote on the Friday and got to work on the Monday. Within a week he had completed the job. He stands by his work, coming back on more than one occasion to fix something that I screwed up or forgot to do. Any further electrical work I need done I'll always call Kiya. Kia did a total electrical overhaul on our house and did a great job. He also overcame some obstructions that made it difficult for him to perform some of our requests. Three days after the ice storm in Toronto I was still without hydro as the line to my house had been pulled down by a falling branch. Hydro would not fix the problem as the Hydro mast had been pulled down from the house. Kiya answered my call and reconnected the hydro the same day. He worked in the dark in minus 10 degree temperature for two and a half hours to get my power back. I will always call Kiya for electrical work in the future.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

I've used Kiya on a number of different projects for both my own home as well as a few income properties. He always shows up on time and gets things done in the time frame he specifies. Kiya gives really good prices. If you are doing your homework and calling multiple electricians you will find his prices are hard to beat. However, more importantly, he cares that you get a good service and makes sure you are being updated properly about progress and how he is going about it. Additional note: During the recent ice storm in Toronto. When we loss power because of the damage fallen trees caused to our power lines. Once we realized Power Stream is not taking care of wires connecting to our house, we called Kiya who responded quickly. Note that we called him on Dec 24th late afternoon! He came in the next morning to fix what he could and made sure our requests were placed with the ESA asap. I'm a very satisfied customer of Kiya Sunrise Electrical. I contacted Kiya through Home stars to have my home aluminum wire removed,located in Scarborough area, and his response was very quick. He came to our house and provide us with a very reasonable price for our job , he also advise us of other small jobs need it and we accept his ideas as all of them were great. During the week he spent with us ,he and his crew member were all polite and organized. He add a few extras at no charge. The spot lights were installed in the right place with not damage to our ceiling. He provided us with certification by Electrical safety Authorization His knowledge in all electrical aspects were terrific and he finish his job on time. I am surprised by all the positive reviews Kia has received. While our experience started off positive, as the project moved along over a few months, KIA was difficult to deal with, argued with us on the phone, and in the end, seems to have not completed his work as agreed to in our contract. We were to have 3 x carbon monoxide/fire alarms installed and another electrician in our home this week (because we did not want him back in our home) confirmed they were ONLY fire alarms, the cheaper version. There were multiple issues with his work along the way, and clean up was definintely NOT something he and his team did, at all. He also went over budget, each time he seems to pull numbers out of his head. We only had a contract for the first portion, so the second part which he quoted on, ended up being A LOT more expensive. I would NOT recommend him to any friends or family, I am very disaapointed with how this relationship turned for the worse. And even with the project complete (And fully paid) we continue to find issues with his work. Very dissapointed.Answer from pro:
Ms. S Stephen I'm very disappointed the way you are talking about my job. I usually do not take a minute to reply any of my reviews as most of them are great, but this time I like you to know that since I met you my intensions were honest and I helped you a lot. I was recommended to you by two of your friends were I did the same type of works without any hassles . When I came first to your house you showed me a few estimates from other contractors and the were all very high in price , you told me you were on a budget and I quoted you accommodating all your needs and your money issues. I also installed at not cost extra switches, plugs, fixtures, estimating this extras at $2000 +. You made me cancel many times ESA inspection costing me more money. Your contractor was very delayed making us all suffer. You have a right to review and either like or not my job , But I do always try to accommodate my clients and make them happy . The lack of knowledge you had in regards to construction make you overload ,I do feel sorry because the contractor you had wasn't honest at all and even did not let me to patch the wall as he wanted to do it him self to gain more money for him. You have 2 certifications from me and my job was outstanding as usual, I feel sorry as my experience with you wasn't pleasant also my team think the same. Any ways I wish you best of luck. It is my third time working with Kiya and his team. They did a great job of cleaning up the messy and potentially hazardous wiring in our basement and also added pot lights. We will continue to use Kiya for our electrical needs.
