I hired Mike's Carpet to install engineered hardwood in three rooms and tiles in the entrance hall. This turned out to be a nightmare. The work was scheduled to be completed in three days, turned out to be seven. The workers showed up late pretty much every day. The first day Mike advised they would start between 8 and 8:30am. They showed up at 11am. It went on like this every day. After installing half of the hardwood floor we were advised that the underfloor was not level, of course it was too late now to do anything about it, hence the floor now squeaks pretty much everywhere you step on it. The installer used too much glue when he did the stairs, took me hours to clean this up after Mike failed to respond (Did I mention he hardly ever picks up his cell - after the contract is signed?). We ordered a 4 1/2" baseboard, they delivered a 1/2" baseboard, I paid another $350 to get it painted by Mike's guy, horrible job, he forgot to paint part of it, left lots of paint spots on the wall, etc. Finally, I gave the hardwood installer the house key, had to drive all the way to Burnaby to get it back - Mike was too busy with a new job, of course. In summary, terrible company - stay away !!!

I have had wonderful service from Mike's Carpet & Flooring.The owner, Mike is very helpful. He was more than willing to come out to our home and give us a free estimate for both laminate and carpet-he came on time and brought samples with him. The price was reasonable. I had other estimates from other companies and Mike was able to match all the price and gave me a discount. The installers showed up on time. They did a great job-amazing workmanship. They paid attention to detail. They removed my old carpet in living room, bedrooms and stairs. They installed Jatoba laminate in the living room and bedrooms and installed new ice mocha carpet for the stairs. My home looks modern, my bedroom look warm and more cozy. I am satisifed. I would recommend Mikes carpet and flooring. Whatever style you want, they will take care of you.

What an Excelent Company These guys are great I have recomended them to all of my friends and customers. Good prices and exellent work!!!!! Great with a tight installation time line. Very professional salespeople. The company stands behind their products and installation. I was very impressed! Not only the work was professional and my home looks beautiful, Mike called me the following day to ask how everything-this made me feel very good and shows that he cares. I Will be using again for our next project.

I see that everybody praises Mike, but nobody mentions the people who actually do the hard work. Well, Mike is great. He is behind everything and makes sure that everything is done the way it should, but without his people, his promises would be just empty words.He promised me low pricing and that's what I got from him. He promised me great carpet, and that's what I got from him. He promised fast and perfect installation, and that is what I got... not from him though,but from his installer.This man has golden hands and I am sure he can install the carpet with his eyes closed. I watched him doing the work and he was like a robot.He was so quick and so precise in measuring, cutting and fitting that you would think he had a computer chip implanted in his brain, that would coordinate all his movements and control all his actions. We had a flood in our home. I called a few companies and explained my situtation to them and that I was in a rush (i had family coming over from out of town) but most of them did not care and wanted me to wait a few days. As soon as I called Mike's Carpet & Flooring, the receptionist got Mike to call me back right away. Mike was extremely understanding. He told me that he was booked for the next couple of days but because I was in a hurry he made time and came out to my house. Mike took care of everything. He dealt with the insurance company. Within 2 days they were at my house and finished the job. Mike made everything easy for me. After the stress that I was going through I am glad that I met Mike because he was helpful, caring and took alot of stress from me. It was not about the money but he truley cared.?

It is not too often I write letters or reviews. But having been a client of MIke's Carpet & Flooring now on three separate occasions, it is time for a word of praise. We started with an insurance replacement of carpet, then 5 years later added some laminate and about 3 years after that added some Cork. Each time we have been more than pleased with their prices and more importantly the service.I am taking this moment to thank Mike and his team and to let everyone know that if you have any flooring renovation you have to call Mike-he is simply the best!

We were not sure what type of flooring would work out best for us. Mike came out to our house and gave us many options and explained different types of flooring.We also went to the showroom and saw many more samples there-the resceptionist was extremely friendly and helped us out with questions that we had. We ended up going eco friendly route with Bamboo and have been very pleased. We got the best service. The whole time we felt comfortable and treated with respect. They respected us, our home and our property-they did not scratched anything when moving furniture around and placed everything back-this made everything alot easier for me specially with 3 kids. The installation was done in one day which we are very thankful for.

A friend of mine who lives out in Burnaby had recommend Mike's Carpet & Flooring but I was not sure they do jobs in North Vancouver. I called up Mike and without hesitation he said said that he would come out for a estimate. Mike drove out all the way to North Vancouver to give me a free estimate for hardwood flooring and carpet. I am pleasently surprised by the knowledge and the customer service he provided. He brought samples out with him so I did not have to drive to burnaby. The job statred two days and finished in the same day. They removed carpet and underlay and installed the new hardwood for 6 rooms and carpet for stairs. Amazing job! I approve this company for anyone.

Most people want to get rid of old carpets and replace them with something more clean, like hardwoods or laminate flooring. I am the weird guy who does the opposite: I had laminate in my bedrooms and I wanted it replaced with carpets. Two years ago my daughter succeeded in convincing me to exchange the "dirty & impossible the perfectly clean" (these are her words) carpets with something better looking and easier to maintain. So, 2 years ago I installed laminate in my bedrooms. Laminate floors are nice, but extremely cold. I really hate them! This is Canada, not Hawaii! I would get off the bed in the morning and on the way to the bathroom my feet used to freeze when stepping on those floors. My arthritis is killing me and cold is the last thing that I need these days. So, I decided to go back to carpets. I found Mike on Craigslist. Mike came over, helped me choose the carpet, made his measurements, and gave me a quotation. Then, I see Mike looking at the floors in my living room. My house is old and the floors in my living room must be at least 20 years old. Mike turned over to me and asked me, "what do you plan to do with the laminate that we will be removing from the bedrooms?" I looked at him confused, because I did not know what he meant. Then he explained me that the laminate is a floating surface, not permanently attached to the floor, and that it can be easily removed and re-used. He suggested that instead of throwing it away, I should install it in the living room, on top of the old hardwood floors. I liked the idea and asked him how hard is that to do. He offered to send one of his men over and have it installed for me. He said it would take only half a day. Long story short, in two days I had new carpets in the bedrooms and laminate floors in the living room. Mike is a very creative man and he saved me lots of money. I am very satisfied with the work and the money I paid.

With all these great reveiws i feel i have to share my story with Mike. we wanted new vinyl floors in our bsmt to finish off our place before our open house (we're selling) he missed the first appointment to measure the floor and it took about a week to get him back. when the floor finally went in there were extra seams in the material (it was on top of existing vinyl floor) they put an extra seam in a doorway (extra traffic area) and the pattern didn't line up properly!! not to mention that the seam sealer they put on has a different finish than the product (looks bad) Mike said he was coming to fix it, Mike where are you???? I've been calling!! you don't call back!!! AND i have no recourse as he insisted on payment up front due to it being under $1500. I'll never be doing that again.. After posting this, Mike gave me a call (yes we played a bit of phone tag) and arranged to have someone come and fix the seam issue. they came today and tried to remove the seam sealer excess that looked shiney on the floor. the seam does look better now.
