Hardwood Refinishing
We had our kitchen renovated and had to replace a tiled area with hardwood that needed to match and blind with the main floor hardwood. NewRidge patched our floor and sanded and re-stained the main floor. Matt did a great job. He was on time everyday(even when it snowed on a Friday in Winter). Our place was very clean when he left the house each day. We were very pleased and highly recommend Matt and NewRidge. Its been over 6 months and our floor still looks great.

Hardwood Floor Refinishing
I just wanted to let you know that we are very happy with the job Yen and his crew did. In addition to doing a fantastic job with the floors themselves, they were punctual, cordial, cleaned up after themselves, and generally just a group of good natured workers. Anyway, I’ll pass the good word around.

Stair Case Renovation
My experience with NewRidge Refinishing was mostly positive. The work was done up to my expectations, the customer service was friendly, though a bit tardy. I was told that reinstalling the banisters when the job was finished wouldn't be a problem, but when I followed up to have that done, I got no response. Plans were made for the work to be done while I was out of town, but when I returned the stairs weren't finished and another day of work had to be arranged.

I would like to apologize of the lack of communication in regards to the bannister. Although, Gabor is the lead for all communication after the job starts it would have been better if we were contacted at the office so we could make sure this was brought to Gabor’s attention immediately. Nonetheless it’s no excuse and I will bring this up with Gabor the next time we speak. Thanks again for choosing our services. Oliver Replies: Thanks for letting me know. Gabor was great to deal with on all matters other than this. Just to let you know. And we're very happy with having had the stairs refinished.

buff and coar hardwwod
We had our hardwood buffed and recoated in May. NewRidge recommended a flat finish to hide the imperfections and footprints left in high traffic areas. The results are great and the work was conducted in a professional manner for a fair price. I highly recommend this company

Hardwood Floor Fix
Paul and Sebastian were asked to correct the installation of a floor that was originally installed by our general contractor. The job was complicated and they were unsure what they would find under the uneven and gaped boards. Paul and Sebastian were always upbeat and professional and extremely knowledgeable about the job. They put our minds at ease and worked very very hard to make the fix seamless! I would use them FIRST next time to install any hardwood floors. Super professional and very hardworking. Thanks to Paul and Sebastian for fixing our floors to look perfect!

Hardwood Floor & Stair Refinishing
It was a real pleasure to deal with Newridge. Both Scott and Gabor were extremely easy to get a hold of and quick to respond if I had any issues or questions. We booked them to refinish our oak flooring to a darker, less shiny finish as well as refinishing our staircase to a dark staircase with metal pickets. We were completing a few different renos to our home at the same time to our Gabor suggested he come back after our porcelain tile installation to put on the final coat to the floor and stair in case there was damage . It shows that he really cares about his work and that and that he was not trying to just get in and out on to the next job. Gabor decided to use a new product for the final coat on the floor and it did not quite dry correct. He came back right and fixed it and now the floor looks perfect. Joseph did a fantastic job re-veneering the staircase and Jay’s work with the pickets and developing a pattern we were happy with was outstanding. They were really easy to work and worked hard to finish the project on time and to our satisfaction. We asked Gabor to do some additional work while on site (installing new shoe molding & painting) which he was happy to do for minimal additional cost. It was a great finishing touch. The project basically turned out better than we could have envisioned. We would highly recommend Newridge to anyone looking to refinish hardwood flooring and staircases.

Hardwood Refinishing
I recently had my hardwood floors refinished and quarter rounds installed, after pulling carpet that had been down for over 30 years. There were some awful stains and repairs that needed fixing. I can't be happier with the work that Matt did, the floors look like brand new and I love the colour they helped me choose. Matt met my deadline, was very neat and knowledgeable and actually took the time to explain how to maintain and repair any minor scratches that could occur over time. I could tell that Matt takes pride in his work and I would recommend Matt and NewRidge Refinishing if you're looking for quality work done by people who care. Thanks so much!

hardwood in foyer and re-finishing staircase
We hired NewRidge to remove our tile in our foyer and re-finish our staircase and remove the carpet in our upstairs hallway. From the very beginning everything was great. Sebastian showed up gave us a quote and we wanted him to start on a particular day which was no problem. We went out of town for a few days and when we came back, the dirty work (the removal of the tile) was all done and the hardwood was down. Then the painters came in to finish the staircase. These guys were like surgeons. They painted all our pickets perfectly and didn't get a drop of paint on the floors. Then they decided to put an extra coat on the staircase because they wanted it to look perfect, Sebastian suggested we go to a hotel room for the night and he would pay for it. Very generous. I would definitely recommend Newridge for any flooring project and we look forward to having them back in our home for future projects. Thanks guys.

Bamboo Floor Installation
We hired NewRidge to install our bamboo floor which we purchased through another supplier. It was anything but an easy installation but Adolf and his crew came in and did a great job. The floor we selected was known to "dimple" during installation on occassion, but they did a terrific job and there is not one dimple at all. The crew was very respectful of our home as well. At one point, one of our flush mount lighting fixtures crashed to the floor on the floor below where they were working due, I guess, to the vibration from the nail gun above. When we realized what had happened, a member of the crew came down apologizing profusely even though it wasn't really their fault, and helped me clean up the broken glass, taking extra care to make sure there was none left over. I thought it was a really nice gesture and showed they take pride in their work. You'll notice that I didn't rate my experience a "10"...I think a 10 rating is reserved for an absolutely flawless experience and there were a few things I might have changed. For example, they cut the planks with a powersaw in a bedroom, but didn't properly cover the walls or a piece of furniture in the room, so once they left we had some cleaning up to do. A small issue and no damage was done, but it would have been a nice thing to have gone the extra mile and covered things up or at least dusted off the walls before they left. They stayed late to complete the job on a very hot day so I appreciate that, however they did not bring enough of the door stop trim to complete the job that same day, and so Adolf promised to return a few days later to finish up. Unfortunately, things were pretty hectic for them and he missed our two appointments to complete the job due to missing tools one day and working late on another project the next time. It was a bit of an inconvenience given that we'd rearranged our schedules to be there to let him in, but he did eventually make it back and completed the job very well and apologized for the tardiness. Overall, a good experience for a very tough installation job and I would recommend them. Thanks for a job well done!

Hardwood Floor Refinishing
I was a little skeptical about hiring someone off HomeStars (never hearing anything at all about Newridge Refinishing) but I am happy I did. Scott, Sebastian and his crew (Johnnie and Vinnie) were professional, organized and did a great job on our oak hardwood floors. Sebastian was very particular and meticulous with his work - which was very important to us. He was also very patient and very accommodating when it came to choosing our stain colour. Sebastian was personally committed to ensuring we were satisfied with the work and managed our expectations very well. If you are looking to redo your floors, this is the company.
