    Staircase Refinishing

    The work done by Sebastien and team was fantastic. The whole process was smooth and great communication every step of the way. The team was always willing to answer questions and did their best to keep the house clean at all times (from all the dust, etc). The overall work and professionalism was truly fantastic.

    Hardwood Floor Refinishing

    I contacted Newridge Refinishing Group in late July 2020 to discuss refinishing three levels of a family sidesplit home that we wanted to sell. The home was built in 1962 and the hardwood floors were in original condition with many scratches and looked dingy. Scott quoted us a fair price and agreed to have the work done as quickly as possible due to our tight schedule. We were warned that some of the dark stains on the floor caused most likely by animal stains might not be able to be removed. As we were on a tight budget we decided not to refinish the stairs. Sebastian completed the work quickly and I am extremely satisfied with the results. They went out of their way to accommodate our tight timeline. Although a few of the dark stains in a small den could not be fully removed, all of the other stains and darker patches were removed and the floors look brand new. We were given the option of staining all the floors darker to hide the stains but we declined. I would not hesitate to use Newridge Refinishing again or to recommend them to others. Communication at all times was excellent and the results are superb. My only regret is that we did not refinish the stairs as well as the difference between the stairs and the refinished floors is significant. I have attached Before and After pictures.

    Hardwood Refinishing

    We wanted to refinish original hardwood in our hallway and one large bedroom. We requested quotes from three vendors and selected New Ridge Refinishing Group primarily based on their excellent ratings at HomeStars. Communications from Scott were immediate and frequent throughout the project. Matt was the outstanding expert that completed the work - always ontime, fabulous attention to detail, thorough and explained each step of the project. Everything went smoothly and of course, the floors look amazing!! We highly recommend Matt and New Ridge for their professionalism and quality of work.

    Hardwood Floor Refinishing and Staining

    We wanted to re-finish original 1960s hardwood that had broadloom over it for many years. This was my late mothers home and we were cleaning it up to sell. I requested a few quotes and ended up choosing New Ridge. bases on their good ratings here. We received excellent service from Scott and Sebastian. Everything went as scheduled and the floors look amazing! I highly recommend New Ridge for their professionalism, and quality of work.

    New pre-finished hardwood floor in a kitchen (144sqf)

    Honest 3.5 stars (decent if not fantastic). On the positive side: very responsive, persistent and interested even in a small job (which mine ended up being - laying one layer of hardwood floor on top of existing subfloor in a room of about 144 sqf). Helped to source the flooring during the lockdown, when it was next to impossible to find a supplier. Reliable, turned up on time, did a clean job and cleaned up afterwards. The whole job only took a few hours. On the not so positive side: The end result. The floor was laid starting from the sides of the room, towards the middle, which resulted in a gap in the most visible spot right in front (which has been filled with wood filler when we pointed it out). When they arrived, the crew asked where the cabinets would go (the room was a kitchen), as we assumed, for some purpose (such as, to put the more knotty boards where they would not be visible). As it turned out, we have wonderfully smooth and near to perfect flooring under the cabinets, and all the really dark knots (some of which do look like splashes of ink) bang in the middle, on display. The worst of these (one floorboard) has been replaced upon our request before the crew left (there was still one whole pack of flooring left, so it was not for lack of material). Overall opinion: would employ them again, just bear in mind you have to stand over them and oversee the work in minor detail (which we failed to do).

None of our crews require supervision so it should not be expected to watch over them . Please keep in mind the hardwood that you supplied us was a Bruce hardwood red oak pre-finished cottage (aka lowest quality rating) grade so most of the wood comes with short knotted and imperfect pieces so we were limited in what we can do. Anyways, I'll reach out to you to go over the hardwood floor repair/replacement in further details. It was a pleasure working with you throughout this process to install the new hardwood flooring..     Amazing refinish on Engineered hardwood.

    I can't say enough good words for the service they did in my floors. Engineered hardwood, with some pretty darn bad water damage and scratches all around. Scott was amazing to deal with from day one. Very thorough and upfront with everything. The service was done by Sebastian and his son and let me tell you, what an amazing guy to deal with. Also very detail oriented and very thorough. I would recommend them to everyone, no questions asked.

    Refinishing floors for the entire house

    We are thrilled with the job NewRidge ReFinishing did on our floors and stairs for the entire house. Scott responded promptly with all the questions we had. Lory and her partner were very thorough on explaining the steps in doing the job and they finished on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. They even installed the baseboards where it was needed. Our floors and stairs look brand new and it really brighten our place. We feel so lucky to find them I will recommend NewRidge to anyone that is looking to get there floors refinished. Thanks to NewRidge for a great job!

    Recreation, and bedroom floor sanding and refinishing.

    New Ridge Refinishing Group was one of three companies that Homestars recommended to me in July 2018. I contacted the recommended companies, but only Lory at Homestars got back to me in a reasonable time with a price that was well within my estimated budget. She, along with two of her people completely sanded and refinished the floors beautifully within a short period of time. A few days later after the floor was dry, I phoned Lory and inquired if they might be available to put my bedroom furniture back in place because I didn't have anyone else. I live in Oshawa and she stated that they would not be able to come until about 8 o'clock that evening because they were just finishing a job on the west side of Toronto. They came a little bit earlier than that, and then they had to drive back to Toronto to go home. That is typically what a family business is all about!     Bedroom and office flooring

    Had floor replaced in 2 rooms. On had a sloping and poor structure. The service was fantastic. The team are thoughtful and extremely professional and informative. Excellent quality of work. Thank you Sebastian. Highly recommended.

    Floor and Baseboard Refinishing

    Our upstairs floors are original to the house (1967) and were last re-finished 10+ years ago. The last re-finishing was so bad, the varnish was peeling off within a couple hours. The New Ridge team came in and refinished the floors, and painted the original baseboards. It feels like a whole new house!
