    Best purchase for any homeowner

    Best purchase if youre looking for airflow through your home. We have a double front door and purchased a cheap knockoff version 10 years ago. Started deteriorating within the first year. My advice to youYOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. You will never regret the investment in this screen.

    Totally satisfied

    Replacement doors due to a fire. From measuring to install (including the technician suggesting a better colour than the original order), couldn’t have been happier. Prompt, efficient, courteous service. As a realtor, I would not hesitate to recommend to my clients and friend. Mary Beth Kelly

    Check before contracting with this company

    Had a back door screen replaced, no complaints, like the product and install person was great! Have a problem with the cancellation policy of withholding the deposit, which is non-refundable, as I learned in a conversation with the company reps in the office. This company needs to revisit this policy, as life happens, and sometimes customers do change their minds and cancel. The service manager offered to give me back half of the deposit, to which I grudgingly agreed. It really stings when they have my money, and I have no product. For this reason, I would recommend a company with a more forgiving policy.

Unfortunately, it appears you have mis-understood – not just who we are and what we do – but also why deposits are required for any custom-ordered product. Ontario Screen Systems Inc. is a small, family-owned screen installation company, based right here in Mississauga. We don’t manufacture; we purchase made-to-order screens from Phantom Screens based on homeowners’ custom measurements. Our employees then earn a living installing those screens. When a homeowner pays a deposit, their funds are put toward our purchase of their custom-made products from Phantom Screens. Shortly after you agreed to purchase your custom screen, your deposit paid for its manufacture. When a customer cancels too late in the process – as you did - it’s too late to stop production of your screen at the manufacturer’s plant. We must still pay IN FULL for your screen. If it’s not installed, that custom-manufactured product may sit on our shelf for eternity, as every home and every doorway is different. Avoiding the risk of loss caused by a canceled custom order is why we take a deposit, as is the case with most any custom-made product. To ensure our customers understand this, our quotations clearly state in bold font “All deposits are non-refundable”. Regardless, we kindly refunded 50% of your deposit as a gesture of our goodwill. You then thanked our small business by giving us a zero rating, despite that you “…like the product and the install person was great!” In truth, that is what “really stings”.     Love our Phantom screen

    We had our back door replaced recently and our phantom screen that we purchased in 2003 had to go. It would no longer fit out bigger door opening. Plus it was 18 years old - although there was nothing wrong with it. We have always loved phantom screens for how discreet they look. We were not disappointed when the new screen was installed. The new screen looks discrete but beautiful and it has a new and improved locking system . This is a great improvement. The phantom screen lets the air in without taking away from the beauty of our new back door. We did have a bit of a challenge getting in touch with someone at the dealership and after that it did take 3 weeks to get someone to our house. Once the measurements were completed, it was another 6 weeks before it was installed. I guess they are very busy. It was worth the wait. I love everything that it adds to our home

    Do not like being ignored!!!

    I've been trying since April to get one of these screens, been given the run around, dealers chose that they didn't want to sell me one, some didn't even take the time to reply to my emails!!! I am very disapointed, wanted one of those screens. I am in a wheelchair and seemed like it would have been less cumbersome than a screen door! Toronto gave me North Bay and Sudbury as my dealers, both were tried and refused my business. Sent another email request to Toronto.... still waiting!!! Good luck!

    I love my new Phantom Screens

    We have double French doors that open onto our deck. We had a set of invisible screens from another local company that were very problematic though not that old. My daughter had Phantom Screens installed in her home this past spring. After I saw those with the new quick release latch I knew we had to replace the screens we had. I am so glad we did!! Mike did an awesome installation even though it was a more challenging job. He took his time, cleaned up and explained how to use and maintain the double screens. We just couldn't be more pleased!

    Beware Do Not Purchase

    We have cats and since it is not sealed the cat escaped the bottom. I was sick with losing him. Had I known the screen is not sealed all around i would have not purchased.

Phantom retractable screens are intended for insect and solar protection, added privacy and energy conservation (only to mention some of the benefits) and should not be utilized as a pet retention system. Also, the fact that the mesh sometimes comes out of the tracks is a Phantom Screens safety feature that prevents damage in extreme weather conditions and injuries if someone accidentally walks into the screens.     Great service, great quality

    Phantom screens built and installed a screen for our 9' french patio door. Everything from the first call to delivery and installation was smooth. Due to the pandemic, they had a bit of backlog and measurement appointment was in about 2 weeks delivery took about 4 weeks after that. The screens are beautiful, don't obstruct the view are sturdy. Very professional company and great service. Definitely recommend it

    Love our front door!

    We wanted a Phantom screen for years but put it off because we had a dog. Apparently, that should not have been a deterrent. The serviceman arrived promptly and installed the screen efficiently. Then he explained how it works. If the screen is pushed, it doesn't rip. It simply pops out of the track. A quick slide of the finger along the track slides it back in place. Dogs may hit the screen, but after a couple of times, they learn to avoid it, as we were told. When the screen is in use, it just looks as though we have the front door open. We can't even see the screen itself. We really enjoy having the extra air flow. The warranty or this product is fantastic. The serviceman even left us with a spray to keep the track slick. We'll maintain by cleaning it but that task is not onerous. Wish we had purchased this screen years earlier.

    Went the extra mile - Thank you!

    THE PRODUCT: This installation was to replace the previous off-brand retracting screen doors that were breaking down. Once the doors were installed the quality difference was immediately apparent and is absolutely worth the extra cost. The doors open and close easily with only one hand, have less frame and more screen space, and a sturdier screen that is more resilient to accidental collisions with pets and people. THE SERVICE: When I first booked the Phantom screen installation, I was unaware that construction was also scheduled for the exterior of my condo townhouse. The Phantom installer and construction company worked together amicably on the best approach and, although the Phantom installation was delayed, it was the best solution. It allowed for the highest quality of external repairs and avoided construction debris affecting the new screens and tracks. To complete the job, the Phantom installer made 2 additional visits without complaint or extra fees. This is a quality product and with exemplary professional services. I will use this company again if I move to a different house and recommend them to anyone considering retracting screens.
