    Annual Furnace Maintenance

    We had an annual furnace service call and were very pleased. Jared came on time and was very thorough in checking our furnace system. We would recommend Shipton's for all Heating and Cooling. They are very professional and dependable. A lot of other companies could learn from them on how to be punctual and able to pinpoint an appointment within an hour unlike phone and cable companies.

    Furnace Service - No Heat

    My furnace broke down on one of the really cold days and I called Shiptons at 12:30 and heard back from a service tech to let me know he was currently working on another residence but would be able to come out in about 2 hours. I received a call from Nathan to let me know the other tech was tied up but he would be coming in the next hour to look at the furnace. He arrived, had the problem solved in a short period and took the time to go over some basic information about my furnace to keep me informed of the maintenance requirements. Truly appreciated the expedient and friendly service.

    New Furnace Installation

    Andrew W. and Patrick G. were the leads on the installation of the new heating system. They were polite, courteous and great workers; very clean and neat workmanship; professional and very down to earth. Mark R. and Ralph V. were also participants in the tasks at hand and were equally helpful and pleasant. I couldn't have asked for a better crew of folks. They did a stellar job and super people, to boot. They were awesome! Thank you!

    Duct Cleaning and furnace, A/C maintenance

    I am very pleased with the service provided for my ducts, furnace and air conditioner coil today. John L. and Jamie F. are very conscientious and personable men. I will be using Shipton's again for all my furnace and air conditioning needs in the future.

    Furnace Service

    I was without heat on a Sunday night as my furnace would not turn on. I made a call to Shiptons and my call was returned. Within a short period of time John came out to my house, found the issue, and solved it efficiently. Even at night John was professional, clean and courteous. I will continue to use them for my needs.

    Water heater project

    After a long day Rob Shipton and Ralph did an excellent job installing a new gas water heater in my home. The job was very professional and neat.     Air conditioner

    I called the emergency hotline because my air conditioner was down and I need it to sleep as I have Sleep Apnea and COPD. The technician came and advised us that the thermostat was broken and the line to the furnace also needed to be replaced. As they are very busy this time of year, someone would be calling the next day to set up an appointment. He bypassed the thermostat so the unit would function until a permanent fix could be done. Next day a rep from the company called to say that someone would be by between 15:00 and 19:00 the next day. As fate would have it, I had an emergency to tend to and did not arrive home until 15:15. There was a card in the door advising the technician had already been by. We immediately called the company and were advised the tech came by @ 14:40 and that he would be returning. I had to take my wife to the walk in clinic, but she asked that we wait until the air conditioner was repaired. At 18:45, we called to ask where the repairman was, and we were told that they would call him to advise. At 19:05, we called back and told the receptionist that we wanted a call right away or we would cancel the job. Within 5 minutes the repairman called us and told us that he was at our house and we were not home. We told him that we had been in contact with the company and that he had come by 20 minutes early and that he would be returning. He told us he was in Carlisle and that he could come by tomorrow. I told him this was unacceptable because of the arrangements that were previously made. He said he would not come today. I told him to stay home because of the lack of consideration the company had for not contacting us with an update or an ETA between 15:00 and 19:00. I will NEVER deal with this company again. I will have my system repaired by someone else since this company does not feel that I am important enough to expect good Customer Service.

    Hookup for Gas BBQ

    Once again, great service from Shiptons, and service tech John. I have used this company several times, and have recommended it to friends. Always professional, helpful and trustworthy a great company!

    hot water heater

    My tenant had called me sunday evening and told me that the hot water heater was leaking all over the floor. It was 20 years old so it was time to get it replaced. I received a call back from shipton's early Monday morning. Although it was end of June (busiest time of the year from a heating/cooling service company) they had a tech out the same day for installation as they knew I would be given grief by my tenants for not having hot water for a couple of days. They did a great job and the service was top notch. They even sent me some 'shipton's bucks' that I can use in the future. That's great because I will definitely use them again for my rental property HVAC maintenance. Katy handled my request from start to finish and did an A+ job. Thanks Shipton's!

    Installation of two Fujitsu Wall Mounted Cooling and Heating Units

    It was a pleasure to work with your company from start to finish. We interviewed three companies to get information and quotes for wall mounted cooling and heating units. Scott was thorough and professional in educating us on how the systems work, and offered suggestions on locations of units and drainage so there would be no outside dripping to our neighbours below. Scott explained the finishing details to assure us that the hoses and wiring would be capped and provided a pleasing look to our condominium. Andrew and Justin worked hard to get the installation completed with minimal disruption to us and tidied up at the end of each day. We were amazed at how much work actually went in to putting theses units in place. It was not an easy feat considering we are on the 28th floor! We are delighted that the units, when running inside and outside are so quiet you would almost think they are not switched on. We can sit on our balcony and enjoy the wonderful views of Hamilton Bay and not be disturbed by the sound of the cooling system. The professionalism of your staff, the quality of the units and the outstanding warranties offered assured us that we made the right choice in selecting Shipton's for our purchase. Thank you!
