    Furnace installation

    Our 24-year old furnance was breaking down a lot during the last winter. So, we decided to get a new one. We heard good comments about Shipton's and we called them. The service was good and they installed a new furnance within a week. They explained very well what would be the best option/furnance for our house.

    Furnace not working

    called this company a few times on off hours because we had no heat and they sent someone right away! When we finally got our furnace replaced we found the technician extremely helpful and we were very comfortable with him.

    Replacement of a/c unit

    When our a/c unit failed during a heat wave, Shipton's was quick to respond. As the 37 year old unit couldn't be repaired, it was time for a new one. They were able to get me a new unit within 1 day, and installed it on the hottest day of the year. The installers worked in the intense humidity, and cleaned up behind themsleves. They were polite, on time, and the job went in the time expected. I was extremely pleased with the job and the people involved in it.

    New Furnace Installation

    In April 2010 I hired Shipton's Heating and Cooling to install a brand new HE furnace. I did my due dilegence and got 5 quotes for the job and carefully considered each one. It was between Shipton's and another company and I went with Shipton's because they were in the industry longer and were part of the BBB. Since they also do duct cleaning services I decided to get that done at the same time. When the 2 HVAC guys showed up it was then that I found out that they weren't the ones cleaning my ducts after the job. So I called the office and one of the owners said he would call me back. He didn't but instead the sent the duct guy to bring his equipment out to my place. He left it for one of the HVAC guys to use. I was not happy with the lack of communication and follow up on this. This left only 1 guy to do the entire furnace installation. When all was said and done my ducts were cleaned, I got a dirty filter installed,they hadn't installed the furnace on a cement pad off the ground(they used bent up pieces of sheet metal instead), they didn't properly close off any gaps in the ducts(when I had one of the owners come and take a look at the work I was told this was normal and that some air leakage is common), there were chunks of brick left behind from where they had to drill to install the gas pipe outside which they just covered up with pieces of insullation and they didn't fix my floor that they tore up. My brand new furnace was also scratched up and dented. Now, having said that, I did call the owner to complain about the workmanship. He came over to review the work. Shipton's did send over a different guy as well as the guy who cleaned my ducts(I had no issue with him) to completely reinstall a brand new furnace on a cement pad, silicone the gaps, re-cement the floor where they other guy had torn it up and painted the floor where they had scratched it up. This is why I give them a 5 and not lower; because they came back and fixed the issue. I was not satisfied with the intial work but they did do their best to rectify the situation.

    Furnace & A/C Installation

    I want to thank & compliment Shiptons. My family had decided to purchase a new furnace & air conditioner. We wanted to take advantage of the govt. rebates before they ended. Even though it was very close to the cutoff, Shipton's made sure that we got our home energy audit to qualify. The installation went well and all of concerns about the rebates were taken care of.

    #60 controller installation on to a Aprilaire 600 Humidifier

    A very difficult part to order from the U.S.A to begin with but Tom and Katie were more than happy to order and book for an installation. The customer service was by far the best. They took there time to listen to my needs and concerns and chose the appropriate technician for the job instead of just sending anyone. The installation was intricate but not for Clean Air Solutions/Shiptons Heating and Cooling b/c Peter was very knowledgeable in his field and patient to do the job right the first time. I would recommend Clean Air Solutions / Shiptons Heating and Cooling 110%. P.S. I commend Tom for his stellar customer service.

    Furnace repair

    My husband and I arrived home from work to find that our furnace hadn't been running all day. Needless to say our house was very cold! We called Shipton's just before 5:00 p.m. and we pleased to hear that a technician would be out that evening. We had called 2 other companies only to be told that there was a 2-3 day wait. The Shipton's technician arrived in a very well equipped service truck. He had the furnace up and running in no time at all. We were so impressed with the quality service that we signed up on a maintenance program. We will recommend Shipton's to all our neighbours, friends, co-workers & family. Well done Shipton's.

    heating and airconditioning

    My Husband and i called Shiptons 6 years ago on the coldest night of the winter when we came home and our house was 52 degrees. Shiptons service technician showed up promply and had us back up and running in a half hour at a reasonable price. We Have since moved and had shiptons install a new furnace, airconditioner and water heater. The Installers were very professional, did a very neat job and explained everything very thoroughly. We have now been on Shiptons maintenance program for 3 years and have had an excellent experience. We would recommend Shiptons to everyone.

    Fixing gas fireplace

    We were having an issue with our gas fire place not lighting u. The pilot light was working however the fireplace would not always light up or it would take several attempts before igniting. Shiptons took a approximately two weeks before I could get an appointment and when the technician came he said all that was needed was a cleaning. He asked if we had some old newspaper he could use to spread out on the floor so he could put the pieces out and he would vacuum out the fireplace. He did not test any circuits or check any wiring. All he did was vacuum and put the pieces back and cleaned the glass!! The fireplace lit up on the second attempt and he never checked again said its good now. Of course the next time we tried to start it up it would work and I called shiptons and they wanted to charge me again!

    Installed a new propane furnace

    They didn't call back on the first two phone calls we made. Once they did call they came out fairly quickly to give the quote. The workmen were very good at installing. The problem with the hook-up to the tank took several calls and several weeks to have fixed.
