    purchase King size bed

went to SC wanting the same bed a friend has. i was talked into getting a memory foam mattress instead with guarantee that it could be exchanged. it was horrible so i requested an exchange. the manager initially refused to gove us the 1200.00 credit back, then when they did they sent a mattress over that had obviously been used and was in terrible condition. after about 2 weeks i could not sleep on it due to the pain it caused in my back. i have been sleeping in another bedroom on a $500.00 bed i bought from sears which is about a million times more comfortable than my now 3K+ king bed. however, i would like to sleep in my own bedroom with my husband!! i contacted the company numerous times trying to get help but was frustrated every time. SC does not keep any records of complaints - every time i contacted them i was told they had never heard from me before. the reps answering calls were nasty and unhelpful. i am positive this mattress was not the one we chose in the store. it has been about a year since i first tried to contact the company and my husband and i were resigned to purchasing a new mattress (anywhere but SC) rather than try getting through Sleep Country's horrible wall of non-service. what a waste of time and money!! do NOT buy your mattress from sleep country! all their guarantees mean nothing - if you don't like the bed you buy you will be guaranteed to get a used bed that someone else has returned because they were dissatisfied. totally misleading guarantees.

    Mattress

Bought a new Queen size mattress and they shipped a double to my door. Now they won't take it back without a 25% restocking fee because they took it off the truck. The mattress is even tagged a double. They told me a double isn't much smaller than a Queen and just to deal with it. Never again !

    Queen Kingsdown matress

Beware of Sleep Country and their policies! Was sold "top of the line $2500.00 Kingsdown mattress" After 2.5 months it has deep sag in the middle. When I called #100 - 50 HIghfield Park store Dartmouth who sold me the mattress was told that they do not do returns and is past exchange so were not interested to hear what my concerns were with my new mattress. The manager wouldn't come to speak with me and directed the employee to tell me to call customer service line at 1888 sleep 88. I did and after 10 min on hold I was voice prompted to leave a message. No call back yet!

    Mattress set

Bed has failed after 1 year and Sleep Country refuses to replace the product. Was told at the time of purchase I was buying the best. Avoid this company. They hide behind manufacturers warranty and do not care about their customers getting reasonable service from the products they sell. No common sense used by company managers/owners.

    New king bed

We purchased a new king sized mattress at the Home show, which was the Tempur-pedic everyone raves about. The mattress was really uncomfortable for both of us. I woke up everyday with my arms asleep. We were so disappointed. Luckily, Sleep country took it back, and we selected their highest end regular style mattress. At first it was great, but a few months in it's starting to feel less comfortable, and possibly sagging. Although I highly recommend their customer service, I'm not really impressed with their quality at this point.

    Kingsdown Mattress - Sleepcountry

Bought a Kingsdown mattress almost 3 months ago and it is already showing body impressions. Even though, I filed a complaint with sleepcountry they are telling me that the “product was found not to have any warranty defect”. After talking over 15 minutes with a sleepcountry representative, they told me an expert was supposed to come in 4 - 6 weeks to check the mattress and see if there was something wrong, it's been a month already since that day but obviously nobody has come and I haven't heard anything from Sleepcountry or the expert. I paid over 1000 dollars for a allegedly “high end mattress” but it’s faulty. Sleepcountry is not helping with the issue at all and their answer is to apply for my 30 day trial warranty and get a new one for 50cad but I shouldn't be paying a penny more to exchange a faulty product. Now I am having back and neck problems because of the body impressions but sleepcountry won't change the mattress because you need at least 1.5 inches body impression to be a faulty product. My mattress is 3 months old and has 1 inch, is that normal?? Imagine where it will be in 1 year if after only 3 months it is so bad?? Tell you what, if the product is not faulty, I encourage Sleepcountry to come pick it up and put it in one of their stores so that people can try it and see if people will buy it after that!!!! Never buying again at Sleepcountry and nobody should.

    Sleep Country

We would like to Compliment Michael Sharma, on his Outstanding Service. He made sure, our mattress was ideal for us, as he switched a Queen(which was too soft) to a King, without giving us the run around. Delivery went well and on time. Michael and his great sales team, make Sleep Country, Successful !!

    Kingsdown Mattress Sleeo Country

I bought Kingsdown Hayworth Duet mattress 9 months ago from Sleep Country. The MRSP for this mattress is around $4000. I paid ~ $2000. I thought I was getting a high end mattress. It is the worst mattress I have ever had. Every morning my wife and I wake up with terrible low back pain that is so bad it hurts to bend over the sink to wash my face. My wife's pain is exactly the same. The store told us the mattress has sagged and we went thru a lengthy warranty procedure and mattress measurements but at the end our warranty claim was rejected because the mattress has not sagged enough for them to replace it. Now we are stuck with this expensive painful product. I'd avoid both Sleep Country and Kingsdown in the future.

    electric base and mattress

Bought a mattress and electric base from SCC in Brampton a month ago. The electric lifestyle base was badly damaged(still in the plastic) and I sent it back. Was sent another one a few days later and it too was damaged badly. I spoke with head office and although I had to be patient for a week, a new upgraded base was delivered. Throughout the ordeal, my sales rep Jackie was excellent and dealt with the problems very well and two gentlemen at head office(managers) were outstanding at dealing with the problem and rectifying it in a manner that left me very satisfied and appreciative. Regarding the original base, they will be reviewing it to see if they will continue to carry it. So although I was initially worried about the outcome of the transaction, they redeemed themselves fully in the end! Thank you SCC!!!
