We had had a terrible experience with a previous roofing job, which was only 11 years old and already needed completely replaced. Jerry came by, as one of four roofers we had quote on the job. He was courteous, prompt, specific and very experienced obviously. He gave us an estimate, replaced not only the terrible job that had been done before, but damage caused to the boards of our home as well. He provided us at the estimate stage with clear menu-style pricing, which broke out upgrades. The crew from Smart came when they said they would, left my property cleaner than it was before (thanks guys!) and were done in one very long day. Their price was very fair, not the highest but not the lowest, and their guarantee they put in writing for 10 years and I have no doubt whatsoever that they will stand behind it. We are now planning to have Smart Roofing also replace our very old eaves in the early summer. I would not hesitate to recommend Smart Roofing, and Jerry was a pleasure to deal with. Using this company made this process less stressful and easier all around. They did a fantastic job, and you have to like it when the owner of the company comes back and personally inspects the job himself before handing you the written guarantee. Fantastic job.

The new roof was installed over the existing shingle roof in an efficient, professional manner. Two hard working men came and put wood skeleton over the existing roof which was stating to curl. The new roof was completed within a week. They came early each day, didn't take any days off and cleaned up the scraps. The job was completed beautifully and now I use less air conditioning in the summer and less heat in the winter. It was well worth the money and the new roof will outlast me!

Bob came by and took a look at my roof. I needed a few missing shingles replaced.The job done the same day.I had phone the company that did the roof 3 year ago and they had gone bankrupt.I phoned four other companys. Bob called me right away, the repair was done quickly and in a timely fashion.

Bob had me up on my own roof (a first for me) to see the damage first-hand and explain the reasons behind what he was quoting on. Took time to explain everything. Even encouraged me to get other quotes. Honest. Straightforward. No smarmy sales pitch. Worked with my neighbours to resolve issues on the job, in a way that maintained good neighbour relations, solved the problem, and didn't cause me any stress. The workmen were so incredibly tidy one had to look hard to know that they'd been there (other than the fantastic new roof, of course). They weren't the cheapest, but they weren't the most expensive either...and certainly worth every penny. Fully insured. Didn't hesitate when asked to show proof. Got the job done quickly. In short, these guys are brilliant. I highly recommend them. In fact from horror stories I've heard from other people about other roofing companies and from the many great things I've heard from people who've used Smart Roofing, and now from my own experience, I'd go so far as to say you're fools if you hire anyone else.

Price was reasonable, they didn't push or upsell, but were thorough and honest. My house is very old and needed extra repairs. They didn't cover over it, they took extra time to make sure I had it done properly. They made it a pleasant experience (as much as getting a new roof can be). They did what they said.

After researching for over a year I finally decided to have Smart Roofing replace my roof. I must say that my trust was well placed as I now have a beautiful, professionally done roof. I also had the eavestroughs around my garage replaced and I have never seen a crew, led by Wes, work so fast, so thoroughly and so professionally. It was a great experience. Cost from Smart Roofing is a bit more than the competition. The crew was fast, professional and did a great job cleaning up. Knowing we had two little children, they paid extra attention in cleaning up and sweeping for loose nails. Both Bob and Jerry were very friendly and personable and took the time to answer our questions. They were recommended by several friends and we weren't disappointed. If you are looking for a dependable, quality company, Smart roofing is a great choice. Great work on gutter replacement too!

If you are looking for a roofing contractor, just save yourself time and meet with Smart Roofing. They are an outstanding roofing contractor from start to finish. The sales rep was helpful in determining the job specifics as well as very informative about roofing work in general. The work crew was terrific. They were punctual, well organized, very polite with family members, and the workmanship looks of high quality. We've recently seen several roofing installations on our street. Smart Roofing is by far the best.

The crew maintained focus and kept their attention to detail throughout the project. Some of the other roofers working in the area cut corners and sacrificed quality … not Smart. The price was competitive. Even though some other quotes were lower we did not have confidence in realizing the same level of workmanship as we would obtain with Smart. There was an exceptional clean up of debris by the crew after every day’s work and upon completion of the project. The materials and service were excellent. I would highly recommend Smart Roofing.

What a difference in the appearance of our house!! All the neighbours are commenting on how great it looks. I was shopping around for a roofer last fall when I ran across the Homestars site. I chose 3 roofers and asked for quotes. Smart Roofing's price was reasonable and competative, but there was something about Bob that I particularly liked, so we decided to give the business to him. He was professional, straightforward, seemed honest, answered all my questions - even the dumb ones, and had a good sense of humour. I got the feeling he appreciated quality so assumed his service and crew would reflect this. I was NOT disappointed. Andre and his roofing crew arrived on time, worked like crazy, did NOT cut corners and were friendly and polite. Very professional guys! The clean-up was amazing! Even my husband, who is VERY particular, was impressed. When the roof was complete, Wesley and his crew arrived to do the eaves troughing. Again,a nicer crew you could not find! Hard-working professional ... I'm running out of nice things to say about them. So the short story is - I would HIGHLY recommend Smart Roofing to anyone in need of this type of service. Eight stars out of five for Bob, Marius, Jerry, Andre and his crew, as well as Wesley and his crew. Excellent product. Excellent service.
