Review from Cricket Review left on 8 Apr 2011Rating: 3 out of 5We purchased 8 new appliances for our kitchen, which started by buying 2 Sub-Zero fridges that were on sale, and last year's model. From there our very knowledgeable salesperson did their best to push us into every single high-end applicance brand, even though we explained that that wasn't our need. While the delivery, service and follow up was very good, the bottom line is that it feels like the salespeople only want to sell you the most expensive items, and then try to make you feel bad when you choose a brand that they think isn't uber-elite. At the end of the day we stood our grond and chose the brands we want, but not without resistance.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

We purchased Asko dishwasher from Mississauga Tasco for our cottage in Fort Erie last fall. Sales person convinced us to buy this dishwasher as one of the best on the market, even if I'd preferred Electrolux which would match our other appliances. This dishwasher doesn't wash the dishes, the dirt from the bottom tray is moved to the dishes on the upper tray and it stays there. Few times upper tray came out of the railings and very often it's not possible to chose the programs as it's freezing. After visits at Tasco, phone calls to customers service we've been asked to reinstall dishwasher, which didn't help. Than after three months of aggravation with Tasco they sent service man, my husband took unpaid day off from work to drive to Fort Erie and wait for him there. This was waste of time and money. Being very upset we visited Tasco again, but they didn't want to talk to us as we didn't follow their rules of talking according to them. They asked us to leave or they'll call police, one of the staff started to dialed the police number. Nobody threatened us with police we left there $2000 for this piece of junk. We could buy dishwasher at Sears - cheaper and with excellent customer service and refund policy. DON'T GO TO TASCOAnswer from pro:

We were very impressed with how much knowledge our salesman knew about the brands and models of appliances and what fit best in our kitchen design plan. Prices were very fair...and the service was exceptional!Answer from pro:

had no knowledge of built in dishwashers or brand names so went to Tasco to not just purchase one, but get an understanding what what I needed, should look for and require for my specific circumstances. They were most patient and helpful and took the time to go through the whole product line, styles/brands and levels of dishwashers to find the fit that would be best suited to my situation and needs.Answer from pro:
Patience is a virture and that's what Tasco's all about! An appliance purchase should be a fully thought through decision! Knowledge is key to making informed decisions!

My washer was broken since last Monday. The technician came on Tuesday. He told us it can't be fix and left. The parts were scattered around. One week later, we will did not get any solution from Tasco. Everytime we called Tasco. The only response is "You have to wait 48 hours, someone will call you." Of course, till today, no solutions and no phone call.Answer from pro:
Hi Elsa, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. If you have not received a response yet, please e-mail me via the link in our listing with your invoice number. I will make sure Customer Service will contact you to sort this out.

The salesperson I dealt with was very knowledgeable. The knowledge ends there. The installation department has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. Stay away from this company, you can get the same appliances elsewhere and if you require any sort of installation, even just someone to hook up the gas line to a range, stay away, it's just not worth the trouble...absolutely awful to deal with and it's really too bad because the salesman was very good, just nothing to back him up!!Answer from pro:
Hi Jill, We're happy that you were pleased with your salesperson at the store you purchased. Since your comment has been posted Tasco has made changes and our installation department does operate differently. Thank you for your comments.

Bought a new bosch cooktop stove. Have never been able to trust the oven. The stove displays errors when oven is used for more than 1 hour. Contacted Tasco for service and the service man came 3 weeks later. Still have same trouble. Warranty is useless as the take far too long to respond and in my case the problem was not resolved. Went back to Tasco as we were renovating our kitchen. I mentioned to the salesman about my stove and he told me Bosch did have problems with this stove. I said, why did you bother selling it then. I spent 12,000 at Caplans. Tasco will never see me again.Answer from pro:
Tasco has no prior knowledge of a product going to have a future mechanical failure. We are notified however when their are recalls. Should it have happened to your Bosch range...absolutely not. We are sorry this happened.

In the past 5 years, we have purchased an LG washer/drier, Dacor fridge, Wolf 48" gas range, Panasonic microwave, and Meile dish washer from Tasco in Richmond Hill. The LG washer had a power board fail. The fridge has been repaired three times and replaced once since March 2007. The range has had a calibration issue (25 degrees low) and an excessive uncombusted gas issue in the left oven. I'm not making a judgement on this here, but is the number of failures somewhat high?Answer from pro:
Hi Randy, We don't unfortunately manufacture the appliance, nor do we stock parts, having said that as a dealer we can still advocate on your behalf. Please contact us if you are still continuing to have issues. Contact number is 416 642 5600 or email customerservice@tasco.net.

After spending for me is a fortune on all new appliances, (Wolf stove, Fridge, Miele dishwasher, washer/dryer...and unfortunatley Wine Fridge) Tasco is refusing to exchange a pricey wine fridge after it was dropped off at my house. I failed to notice a broken plug, and when turned on threw errors. After asking for an exchange unit or refund, I got the "Talk to customer service". Who never pick up their phones, and couldn't care less about how much money you spent with them. Instead they throw endless subcontractors and "RMA's" for you to wait around for. Another prime example of lousy customer service hiding beghind some shiny products. They dont service what they sell, and good luck getting your money back.Answer from pro:
Hi David, We are sorry for your experience with your wine fridge. We do advertise that all appliances come with a full manufacturer's warranty which Tasco does not hold. Also Tasco does not employ technicians we rely on the manfacuter (and their provided warranty) to dispatch technicians. Thank you for your comments.
