    Moving and Storage

International Stone is Marble and Granite Company. We have used Tender Touch for various moving projects and they have earned our confidence and trust by providing professional service with a personal "touch". On time, well mannered staff, handling with care at a resonable cost. We have used Tender Touch to deliver finished Granite items such as table bases or tops and recently, move our office desks and equipment during a renovation. When we arrived at our other location, the office was set up and ready for us to continue business effortlessly. If I was not surprised, I would not have taken the time to write my recommendation.

    Moving

We called Tender Touch to come and move our stuff from our old home to our new one. We found them through homestars, and saw that they had a great review. This review was accurate, as the movers were very courteous and clean, and did not mind going the extra mile to make our home perfect. We were very satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Move from one condo building to another

Ask for Marcus, Kris, and Elvis -- They were a GREAT team!! Moved my one bedroom condo a couple of weeks ago, but I am still talking about how great these guys were and how I would recommend them to anyone. They worked very hard and were polite and respectful at all times. They showed up on time, with all the materials they promised, they worked quickly, and they took great care of my stuff. The move would have been a bit faster (and cheaper) if it were not for the very strange and annoying set-up at my new building, with all items having to go through two different elevators and a long hallway in between. So - not the cheapest movers you can find - but definitely worth EVERY penny!

    Relocation from Toronto to Timmins

My family had to relocate from Toronto to South Porcupine, ON (800 km). I had a bad experience with a moving company before, so I was reluctant to hire a moving company again; unfortunately, I had a 2 week old infant and doing everything myself was not practical. We checked the Better Business Bureau and the Canadian Association of Movers and solicited quotes from companies that seemed reliable. We also looked for reviews on-line and Tender Touch came out ahead in their proactive approach to addressing customer concerns. Their quote was higher than almost all the other companies (approximately $4000+hst compared to an average of $3000+hst). We thought "you get what you pay for" and went with Tender Touch. Most moving companies could not possibly stay in business if they did such a move for $3k: 3 days / 3 people / 800km / 8000 lbs, gas + truck + maintenance + rent, bills, parking, administrative staff + equipment + accommodations + meals... you do the maths. Small companies will gouge you by under-quoting to try to get your business, then refusing to unload until you pay the hidden charges. Worse, they try to cut their costs by not paying their staff well, not spending money on good equipment and supplies, and trying to cut corners by combining moves and other foolish logistical tricks (i.e. you can expect damaged or lost items, late delivery, rude and careless staff). Tender Touch didn't have any of these problems and their customer service representative was extremely clear in advance when explaining the costs and the timing of the move. The final price was almost exactly their quoted price, and the move went off perfectly without any damage or timing issues. I still wasn't happy paying out the money, but I can't argue that the results were worth it. They were honest, efficient, effective, and timely. Everyone's entitled to make money in order to stay in business, and these guys did a good job.

WISH I COULD GIVE THEM 100 STARS!

Simply put, you will absolutely, positively not find a better moving company than Tender Touch. I interviewed 6 moving companies, chosen based on positive reviews on Homestars and recommendations from friends. From my first meeting with Justin, Tender Touch immediately stood out from the rest. He was on time, professional, knowledgable, intelligent, and confident. He answered all my questions throughly and without sounding too "sales-y". The estimate was crystal clear and fair. And attached to the estimate was a promise that they would not exceed this price by more than 10%, no matter how long the move took them to complete. After choosing Tender Touch, I ordered all my boxes and packing supplies-- which they delivered within a day or two. Justin was so on target with his recommendation that I had only 5 or 6 boxes left after packing a house with over 3000 square feet. I am still amazed by how he was able to be so accurate in estimating what I would need! But no worries--- if I had needed more, they would have delivered more, if I needed less, they would have credited me for the difference. As my move day approached, I exchanged several emails with Justin and, every email was answered promptly. His responsiveness is impossible to surpass! I had packers only for my dining room (crystal and china too fragile for me to pack myself). They, too, were right on time and jovial and hard working and just a pleasure to have in my home. When they finished before the two hour minimum, they began asking me what else they could do and found a bunch of glass shelves and lamps that they packed to save time on moving day. They could have simply slowed down their pace to ensure that one room took them two hours, but, instead, they sought additional work. How refreshing! Then came moving day. Phil was our foreman and he treated me like I was his most valued friend. Honestly! Phil and all the guys wrapped EVERYTHING in blankets and pads. They were careful and efficient and worked harder than any crew I have ever seen! All the while they were singing and joking with one another and genuinely brightening up a day that would have been otherwise quite stressful. Whenever I had a specific request, the answer was always "no problem!". They were incredibly polite and respectful. Truly appreciative of the lunch and dinner we offfered them. Overall a bunch of really GOOD guys. They worked from 9:30am on Monday to 1:30am, the wee hours of Tuesday. I kept waiting for their spirits to drop or for them to get grouchy or slow down. Not a one of them! Kept working. Kept smiling. Got the job done! And when it came time to present me with the bill, true to their word, it was exactly as promised. No surprises. I truly cannot say enough about these guys and this amazing moving company. Phil, Freddy, Mike, Christian, and the entire crew, as well as Justin--- I am so grateful to them for making my move a great experience from start to finish. Choose Tender Touch. Don't even bother interviewing anyone else. It's just a waste of time.

    Moving

We used Tender Touch twice. First experience was fine. The second time was when we had to move back to our house after the Reno. The experience was very bad. There was confusion with the moving time and the staff there was very rude to us. At the end, we lost a few boxes, including a TV. They dropped a few boxes the next day, but one of them weren't even ours. Very disappointed with their service and would not use them ever again.

    Move a 3-bedroom house

These guys did a great job and were very conscientious about helping minimize our costs. They were very friendly and asked all the right questions to get things where we needed them -- and didn't mind moving things around several times.

assistance with moving furniture into apartment

I found Tender Touch to be careful and gentle when moving my furniture into my apartment. Overall they did a wonderful job though it was a little pricey. I would still recommend them. No broken furniture during the move and they were on time.

    In-town move

We moved from a 2 1/2 storey house to another 2 1/2 storey house. We sought 3 quotes from different moving and storage companies after downselecting for company insurance and bonded staff. We chose Tender Touch based upon the thoroughness of the quotation process (you should inventory your stuff before requesting a quote) and on the detailed solution that Maria offered (in this case a team of 3 in a 28' truck for our 4-bedroom house). They also provided detailed information about hourly rates and what charges we might expect. The team that took care of us were Elvis, Pedro, and Mike. They worked a solid 13+ hour day and kept in good spirits throughout. The quotation was remarkably close despite my underestimation of the number of boxes to be moved. All good.

    Moving into our new home

The movers were OK. Very expensive. The guys were very courteous and professional. Nothing broken, and only a couple of walls damaged. On the whole, we're satisfied that they worked hard and took good care of our contents.
