    Weedman lawn service - payment by application

    agreement with Weedman- service only if authorized - we called.cancelled late July - they still came in Aug & told them discontinue service - they came again Sept while I was away on vacation - sent them email 9/13 saying I'll pay Aug but definitely not Sept - & they still hassle me for Sept payment - terrible customer service

    weed control

    Found that I have had to call several times for reapplication. First time did not seem to work on my lawn. On one occasion they committed to a service however later it was denied. They told me that they had a recording so I asked them to find the recording and play it to me. The latter half of the conversation was chopped off! (of course that was the part that was relevant for me)

    Weed Man

    We had very much the same experience with others here who report that even after cancellation, and being told not to call us anymore, WM came onto their property (i.e trespassed) and applied weed treatments. I was working in my home office and the guy didn't even ring the doorbell to let me know he was there (if he had, I'd have told him to bugger off). (We cancelled due to lousy but expensive service. We have a 1 acre lot, so to do anything cost a lot, but we never saw results to justify what they charged.) Since then, we have been called repeatedly, but WM has refused to listen when we explain what happened, and now we have a letter saying they will refer the bill for collection. Big whoop - WM can't possibly affect my credit rating, but if they want to take me to court, I will have the employee charged with trespassing. I see Steve from WM has invited someone to call the office to work out the problems -- BS! That's just PR at work. WM uses unlawful trespass as a marketing practice, they know it, and Steve has had ample opportunity to talk to me, but all I get is people calling looking for money. I would rather pave the whole damn yard than use Weed Man again.

    I am sorry you feel this way and if there is an issue with our services I do invite my customers to call my office to resolve this concern. If for any reasons your concerns are not resolved than a supervisor or myself will follow up to resolve the concern immediatly. I will always offer a soltuion and I have offered my customers to call me and resolve their concerns. This is not PR work, this is my job and has been for 12 years and I take great pride in taking care of my customers. I have offered when required customers to call me to resolve concerns, this has not happen on HomeStars and in some cases resolutions are not what this site is for.     BEWARE of Weedman!

    We had been a customer for a few years up to Fall of 2010. At that time, we called and cancelled the service only to get repeated solicitation calls. Even after rejecting the calls and asking not to be called again, it was not over. Weedman came onto our property, ignored the warning sign (indicating treated lawn) and sprayed on top of the treatment. We called and were told by Melissa that charges would be reversed only to find this to be untrue. We received outstanding invoice notices and another treatment in June! We called again and were told there was no record of a reversal or cancellation instead there was a record of an apology call from us to Weedman that it was our mistake and we authroized the treatments! We asked to speak with Steve only to be ignored. At this point, we are prepared to invoke the Trepass Property Act and would like others to speak out to prevent this from happening to someone else. Disappointing!

    Lawn care Weed Control

    I bought this package because it looked worthy. The package includes 8 visits and unlimited free visists to spray Weed control. The fist visist was for spring fetilization which was very good and thanks to a rainy spring the lawn was very beautiful. However, when the summer started, the weeds started as well. I have to call them many times. When they came they did not apply the spray on every weed spots, only in a few of them, I have to call them a lot of times, they usually does not come on time and always blame the wheater about it. They keep trying to sell more services, but since they cannot do a good job on this one I am not comfortable to buy any other service. I am keeping calling them to spray the weed control, at least until the end of the contract. It means end of fall. I do not recommend this company, My neighbours asked me about the service, I just show them my backyard them they give up calling them.

    Lawn care 2 years subscription

    I hoped to relay on professionals to fight with lawn weeds... VERY disappointed. They do not know how to do their job. Weeds grown up even better, while grass is stressed down... Never see any weed dried after their application. When I refused their service for the next year (2011), a manager Ken S. called me and promised his own supervision of my lawn. He swore that my lawn would be perfect this year. I believed him... it was my mistake... He never called me after I signed the contract. I am afraid I need to re-grass my lawn from scratch next season. Would not recommend their services to anybody. Agree with John: their calls are very annoying as well even after you said NO.

    WEEDMAN/DISHONEST SALES TACTICS

    Wow!! What a relief!! I thought it was only my mom this happened to this year. Well like everyone here, she was unknowingly signed up for their programme. She has gone with them in the past but this year it was just to expensive. She was contacted by one of their sales rep & she asked them to send her info via mail...but instead of doing that they just signed her up. My mom's english isn't the best but still she has fight. Anyhow i phoned in & spoke to Steve. IIs Steve really the owner??? We spoke to him & he was a BULLY!!! Anyhow they replayed the convo..the dumbass sales rep asked my mom "If she was on board with the programme"?"& proceeded to get her details!! my mom thought she was just confirming her addie b/c she wanted info sent to her....ANYHOW THEY SIGNED HER UP!!! (like i said my mom's english isn't strong so she wouldnt have understood the expression "Are you on board?!! All i can say is that WEEDMAN is absolutely terrible...let's run them out of business...go with FRECHETTE, they're much better & more affordable... I'm very close to contacting PAT FORAN or some other media outlet...what do you think??

    Lawn care

    After having billing issues with these guys last year I swore I would never use them again. After aggressive marketing tactics and dropping over 100 dollars off last years price I got roped into another year. I signed up at the begining of May and they stated they would be out for the first fertilizer in 7-10 days. I finally called just after the May long weekend and again on mAY 30TH and they came to provide the first weed killer on May 31. After three other phone calls in the begining of June to have them come and fertilize I gave up and cancelled their service. I have talked to the weedman folks three times trying to get them to email me confirmation that I HAVE QUIT and each time they keep saying they have no record of me quiting them and I have to go through the whole story about them not showing up to provide service. I am now worried after reading this forum this is a tactic they use to keep on billing me. I have tried to get the Franchisor contact info but the sales reps in Scarborough claim they don't have it and their supervisor is never available to talk to. Does anyone have any tips on how to get some co operation from these folks???

    SO MANY PEOPLE IN THE SAME BOAT

    I experienced exact samething. I did not request for service this year and they showed up anyway without my conscent and sending me a bill. I understand now how Weed Man run their business. They intrude into past customers' houses to do lawn work without homeowners conscent, then they send bills. They probably got paid for a lot of unlawful entries services because people are scared to hurt their credit rating. Very unethical business model. DO NOT USE THEM!

    weed spraying

    Not happy with their services. Weeds always came back and was charged for services I didn't order and refused a refund. Would not recommend their services to others. You are better off spraying your lawn yourself.
